So I haven't been on since Sunday, so when i logged in today, I saw there was a Pokehunt on for water types. I was in the middle of a Tirtouga shiny hunt so i decided to hatch my two ready to hatch Tirtouga eggs, and I'd chose one for the entry. To my suprise, i hatched my shiny. Great, I'll use that one then!

But here's the issue. I unlocked the shiny Pokemon and Even though -at time of writing- the pokemon is an Hour old, I can't submit him for the hunt. So disappointed, i decided to try to submit his sister who was hatched at the same time but I can't submit her either. Like I said I adopted both eggs from the shelter, and hatched them today so I should be able to submit them right?

Does anyone know why this is happening? I've been able to do this in the past no problem - that is to say obtain an egg one day, but then hatch and submit the pokemon durring the Pokehunt.

Edit: for Clarifiation, both pokemon are normal versions, ie NOT fossils.

Beautiful Change

The pokemon eggs would have had to be obtained after the pokehunt started. If you got them Sunday then that would be before the pokehunt started therefore making the pokemon ineligible.

Like i said in my post, previously I've been able to obtain the egg on one day then hatch and submit it on a pokehunt day.

also i read the rules and this it what I've got.

QUOTE
For a Pokémon to qualify, its type must match the current event type. You may submit a dual-type Pokémon as well, so long as one of its types matches. You must also submit the Pokémon within 24 hours of having hatched it, however it cannot be obtained before the event actually starts (it must be obtained after Monday night's reset).

from what i'm reading there, the Pokemon has to be obtained after the start of the hunt, not the egg which coinsides with my statement of in the past, being able to obtain eggs before a hunt, then hatching and submitting them during the hunt.

The EGG has to have been obtained after Monday's reset, not just the Pokémon. It's been like this since the very first Poké Hunt.

My Apologies for taking the Pokehunt rules so literal. again i was only asking because i was able to in the past submit pokemon from eggs obtained before the pokehunt. maybe it was a bug back then I'm not sure.

Regardless i submitted a different pokemon to the hunt, and i suppose that this issue is resolved.

I can't recall this having ever been a bug. If you can find a Pokémon of yours from back then that you obtained before Tuesday and submitted to the Poké Hunt, I'll give you some scratch cards.
