[General Ironwood]

Name: Lauren Jenny Tennant
Age: Sixteen
Hometown: Pewter City, Kanto

Appearance: Five foot five, shoulder length chocolate brown hair and the same eyes, with a variety of outfits, one could say Lauren has a strange kind of enthusiasm for her appearance. Her hair, a mix of a barky and chocolatey brown, cropped to her shoulders with layers, and usually never put up, it is shimmery and shiney and she loves to take care of it (and uses Razz berry scented shampoo!). Her eyes, a hazel kind of colour, with speckles of brown and blue, they appear, at times, to change colour, though Lauren usually denies this. In all her different outfits, she has spectacles, as she can't really see properly.

OUTFIT A: Autumn&Winter!
Big, chunky black boots, lined with a soft fake fur, now don Lauren's feet. Thick, wooly red tights are under that, and dark green capri pants. Her jumper is a thick, knitted blue one with odd sleeves, as her gran made it. She also wears a matching green scarf, to keep her neck warm, and green beret, to look sweet and stylish.

OUTFIT B: Spring&Summer!
A wavy, thin white shirt with clingy pink cuffs that fall just short of the middle of her forearm, brown gloves, and raggedy, personalised jeans are the look of Lauren in the warmer months. She has chunky black trainers beneath her long jeans, with crazy white patterns on the side.

OUTFIT C: Contests!
A rather bland kind of garb for the contests, wouldn't you think? Now. Her treasured black jacket with gold buttons popping up here and there, black trousers and shoes, and underneath that treasured jacket, a white t-shirt with an abstract Rapidash standing on it's hind legs. In her pocket are a pair of rather sinister looking sunglasses.

OUTFIT Some kind of PJs!
When it's time to lie down and sleep, Lauren turns to her pink shirt and blue trousers. She also has red socks with white soles (though they're pretty much grey due to all the walking she's done in them). Even in this dress, will she run around battling.

Personality: In many ways, Lauren is still very much like a young child. Naive, gullible, easily-confused, she never really gets the really, really complicated stuff when it's told to her. Her mind will often wander off and she'll literally need a slap to get back to ground zero. She's easily amused and loves to play and when she finds something she likes, she'll clap, and get on with it.

However, underneath this childish exterior is a very serious, and smart girl. Lauren hides herself under a carpet of ignorance to stop herself from getting hurt, as she can easily lose her temper and she is very hot-headed. One could call her grumpy if you knew her well, but she has a bit of a sarcastic stripe running deep in her. She can also be rather mean without actually meaning to, because her naivety is actually real. She doesn't really think before she leaps.

If you knew Lauren really well, you could call her a bit mental and think she needed to be locked up in a loony bin. When she's alone, she'll often talk to herself, argue with herself, even tell herself to shut the heck up sometimes. She gets awful lonely, so, that's why she engages in conversation with herself, often losing when she argues.

Biography: Lauren likes to call herself a purebred Pewter City gal, but, she isn't really. Her mother came from Snowpoint in Sinnoh, and was used to the cold far more than her father was. They wed a year before Lauren's birth. When Amanda became pregnant, she and Andrew were thrilled to be parents.

Nine months later, a little girl came into the family. Of course, the wider family were all thrilled (all her cousins were boys) to finally have a young lady in the family. But a sophisticated young 'lady' she was certainly not. Her birth was traumatic, a pretty nasty forceps birth. This caused her head to be in the shape of a peanut when she was born, and somehow, some nerves connecting her left eye to her brain were all screwed up.

Every night without fail, she would cry for no reason. She wasn't hungry, or lonely, or needing a nappy change. Nobody could really work out why she would cry with as much force as she did. So, her parents just had to get used to it. Even into three and four, she would still cry and cry and cry, and when daddy asked "What's wrong, Lauren?" she would reply with an "Unnh!"

It was only through the miracle of a brother did she finally sleep her first night without crying. Jack was born when she was four, as he was born on August the 19th, and she was born on November 2nd.
Lauren never got on with the family Pikachu pair, Zap and Thunder. The two tried to be nice, but she seriously distrusted them. Her parents could never figure out why until she went to school.

Everyone in her class had to bring in one Pokémon for show and tell day, but Lauren said she wasn't going to take part because she was afraid of the Pokémon. She sat in the corner of the class as kids came with odder and odder Pokémon (one being an Ariados). She shrunk further into the corner when the other kids asked her to come see their parents or siblings Pokémon.

Desperate for their little girl to become a trainer, they started counselling sessions with a docile Bidoof. However, she even found the sassy little thing terrifying, refusing to go near it. Eventually, after two years, she gathered the courage to poke it. The Bidoof had been asleep at the time, and poked open one eye as she did. He was pleased with her (he'd known she'd even refused to go near a Pokédoll), and so was Lauren's counsellor.
Aged ten, she was officially cured of her dislike for Pokémon, yet, she didn't really want to go on a journey with Pokémon. She wanted to stay at home and help with the family sweet shop business.

When she was fifteen, her brother started his journey, and Lauren grew bored with no one to talk to. Her old counsellor got in touch and asked her if she wanted the Bidoof, who they were officially retiring from counselling. She said she wanted him, so, five days later, she got his Pokéball. She named him Duffer, as he had a certain fondness for the doughnuts her mother would buy (duffer was the family name for a doughnut).

Zap and Thunder had a batch of eggs, which Lauren picked one out of whilst the others were given to children passing through their shop. Pretty soon enough, after plenty runs through Pewter and the odd visit to Cerulean, the egg hatched into an adorable male Pichu. She called him Volt.

Soon, it was her sixteenth birthday, and she felt ready to take on the world, so, she and her mother went to visit her grandmother in Port Barley, and instead of going home, Lauren decided to travel through Furoh instead.

ooh, thank goodness it posted. when I posted this before my internet decided to spazz itself up and i was like "NUUUUUU". anyway. Ty for accepting me, and I've edited it so that her parents run and own a sweet shop because I couldn't think of anything more original :/
