One of the most anticipated games this year. Anyone here playing it already? Any thoughts about it?

I'm focusing on magic too, but I also use weapons as well.
Also, why is it that killing Snow Bears and Frost Trolls are a lot more difficult than killing dragons? It's either that or I'm the only one. -------------------- ayy

Skyrim is amazing and really addicting. /has finished the main quests already in around 55 hours in 9 days
As of now, I'm level 27. My character is a Nord. I'm focusing on One-handed weapons (sword/axe+shield) and use a bow if I need to use something ranged. I do occasionally use magic, but only for healing, mostly. As of armor, I do not wear them by set, rather I just look for any armor with stuff like +40 health, +20% one handed weapon damage, etc. QUOTE Also, why is it that killing Snow Bears and Frost Trolls are a lot more difficult than killing dragons? I didn't think I would like this game but due to the major amount of glitches that are present (Giant's launcher attack, no-clipping issues where you can go to certain past areas, etc) I found myself growing fond of it. All of the silly ragdoll effects that happen is great too
 ... that aside, the gameplay and story are alright. I've been alternating playing whenever my boyfriend hasn't, so I've been doing all of the grinding parts for him. Having Daedric Armor and weapons with two enchantments on each piece is kinda  If we ever start a new game, I'll have to work more on the magical aspects, as those seem not that necessary in our current game right now.

Overall, it's a very fun game. My character is a male Argonian with the pink preset. My main focus is the Warrior stuff.
My only complaint is that I feel it caters very heavily to "realism". I will admit that I do like that most of Skyrim is a cold, snowy place. I don't know, I guess I just like snow. However, I don't think the land of Skyrim is particularly engaging. It's fine to go for a realistic tone, but the land of Skyrim is so realistic feeling that it has all the appeal of my back yard in the winter. It's sad that it's not very absorbing because they gave it like, history and junk. The NPC's aren't particularly memorable ether. There are little to no fun or creative personalities. Drunk dude, angry woman who hates bears, etc. Oh well, at least that's something. Also, you can't kill kids. 3/4. Wonderful, but not too deserving of an award or anything. I got it, although lately I haven't had much time to play it. I think I'm only 3 quests into the main questline, although I did spend the majority of my time doing other quests, completing the College of Winterhold quests, etc. I've been playing as an Argonian, focusing on one-handed melee and magic.

I've just started it too, playing slowly. I'm level 7 currently, High elf and going pure mage. (: It's kinda hard though still since I have to kite mobs because running around in dresses make you get hurt easily. And when I'm in a small dungeon, not fun to run backwards and try to remember the route you came and end up getting stuck in a wall. ._.

Played it a bit the other day, will be getting a copy when we get some pre-owned ones in work. Pretty good game; it's not my normal kind of thing but I really did enjoy the little bit I played.

Got a lvl 50 Nord character, been doing just about every single questing in the game and still got alot more to do
 so addictive that i missed the shiny hunt

I've been playing the game for almost a month now. My first file (lv. 50 Argonian) I managed to unlock all the trophies with. Now I'm just doing random things in my new file (currently a lv. 30 Khajiit), and doing things differently, like I plan on destroying the Dark Brotherhood :s

Got the game for Christmas and am playing as a Nord. I don't know my level, but I've been doing stuff for the thief guild. I don't know why I was so drawn to them, I guess because that main guy was nice, but I also like their story. (And doing them got me a nice way of transportation to areas I have yet to go to if ya know what I mean.
Even though I don't think the kid had anything to do with the guild if I remember right, but I still had to steal it.) I haven't done the main quests for Whiterun like getting the dragon stone, so I've still never fought a dragon. (If that even matters?) Nick was doing the Whiterun stuff though and has found and fought dragons, and he joined the Companions there. It's nice that we can play the same game in the same room while doing completely different things and stories from each other. Makes it easy to not have anything spoiled when we're both so focused on something else mission wise and stuff. -------------------- |

Finished the main questline - summoning a dragon is freaking EPIC. Still going to finish all those nifty little quests to see if I can defeat more 'bosses'.
Really disappointed that they got rid of Acrobatics. I miss jumping off cliffs T>T... Closest thing I've done is WhirlWind Sprinting off Hrothgar or any other Mountain I come across. --------------------         |

Just got to the Greybeard's Quest. Accidentally pickpocketed someone, they all killed me and I got taken to a Keep further down the river so now I have to make my way back  I'm not happy about it.
