Look, everyone, I've finally got my very own shop! Let's get this party started!


Rules [UPDATE]

• Obligatory Follow-All-GTS+-Posting-Rules Rule
• For Goodness sake, please be nice to me! I'm taking more time out of my life to make you something nice than you are typing me a message. The least you can do is not be rude, arrogant, or condescending.
•Because I was being flooded WAY to much (partly my fault for not giving proper definition of flooding), I have switched to lists. I will take 5 requests at a time. I will also make an overflow list with a maximum of 5 people who I will complete requests for. Please use your better judgment! If you see that the main list is full, please try not to request! I'm really sick of seeing my lists full.
• You may stalk this thread for open slots, just DON'T stalk me. Seriously, I love having you around, but the latter means you're just a creeper.

The lists of DOOM

Overflow List, because we've all been ninja'd at some point or another. I'll also use this to put something on hold.

Expressing Gratitude/ misc.
• I really love seeing my artwork being used, so don't just request to request!
• You are free to use, edit, or change the artwork I give you, just so long as it remains PG.
• Please give credit to me! Even if you edit the picture, I'd still like credit for the original.
• While not completely necessary as a rule, some thanks is nice. If you can, I'd really love it if you could click my GPX+ eggs. I will almost certainly click you back if you have an account there, so you're still coming out on top.

Concerning Art Trades

• Art trades use the hold/overflow/ninja'd list. This does not mean it is on hold, it's just a reminder to myself.
• There are certain trade-specific items you cannot request under ordinary, non-trade circumstances. I will decide, based on the effort it takes to do what I want, whether or not I will do these for you. So unless you are interested in trading, don't worry about them.
• The whole idea of a trade relies heavily on trust. If you ask for a trade, I'm trusting you do do your fair share of the deal. If I feel I'm being milked for better art by you asking for a trade then bailing, I will not trade with you anymore.
• That being said, however, I consider myself quite merciful; even if you are unable to trade, I will still let you request (providing that the reason you are restricted from trading is not related to normal request etiquette).

On the Paint art, feel free to request what you want! If you give me a reference of a character, I can at least attempt to draw them. If you wanted an ursaring with a bracelet for each color of the rainbow on it's left arm, looking like it's disco dancing, then say so! However, I DO NOT do humans. I'm not very good with them at all.

New! I do simple little avatars of animals and pokemon:

As you can see: Lines, Color, and an example of a pokemon one.
With these, you can pick the line color, background color, and whether you want a fill color. I will just be making these as an avatar size. I will not do personas, or anything besides pokemon and animals. Complexity has no worth here. I will also be modestly signing these in the lower-right corner (Not shown).
Sprite-wise, here's what I do:

Scratch sprites (My personal favorites)


Retypes, which I can combo with scratches, as seen here:

Please do not ask for a retype to every other type! I start to get bored and procrastinate when I do them.

Fusions:


Recolors:


Minor edits:


On recolors, please be specific as to what regions should be what color. On fusions, please tell me what pokemon you would like mixed and whether there are any color, base pokemon, or feature preferences. I will fuse 2 pokemon of any kind, or 3 to 5 relatively similar pokemon, such as giratina, registeel, heatran, and lairon like in my example.

I wanted to request one of the Eeveloutions...

Its Soleon...

He is light type. For his body...well, i imagined it something like this:
Small ears, gentle fur, with somewhat light on the end of each...i mean, so it should look like it is glowing... nice tail (long but not too much, long enough to fit its body), kind of Ninetales's one... aaand yeah, it could have some glowing sprites across it's body, like Umbreon has circles, Soleon could have those little stripes....

If you dont understand something (which would be reasonable considering my bad English explanations) let me know...

I actually don't shade because I'm mostly restricted to using paint for colored pieces, as I lost the program I used for coloring my hand-drawn pictures digitally and I'm crap with markers or colored pencils. That's mostly why it's taking so long - I'm deciding if I should try it with pencils anyway, or just do the usual laptop pad sketches.

As for my request, I'd like another scratch-sprite of my own Pokemon OC - http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d145/JessieTheFox/GPX%20Forum%20Stuff/Amos5336819172-iaza.gif, please.

If possible, I'd like him looking a bit more dignified - standing up straight, legs together, head up, maybe slightly tilted? A backsprite would also be nice, BUT since he's mostly a recolor, if it'll just end up looking nearly exactly like the Absol backsprite, it's okay to pass it up. I don't mind.

the scratch tutorial's alright, but it didn't produce on your tutorial anything close to your work in comparison. It looked more like someone was requested by you to make it with that title, or you made it when you first started. Also, what about for your style of retyping?

This is my rendition of soleon:

I wanted to use yellow, but I thought it would be too light for the stripes and it looked to ninetales-ish. I tried a new effect for the glowy fur, so tell me what you think! If you're not satisfied, tell me, and I can try to fix it.

Pokemon Master102, qgag, and pokemonmaster8: No, you have to wait until I'm done, and "When there's a slot open" doesn't count. It's too much to keep track of, and it isn't fair to anyone else.

Could I please get a big paint art of 3 pokemon; a green eyed female Vulpix with a purple flower behind her ear, a grey eyed female Pikachu with a scarlet flower behind her ear and a brown eyed female Houndour... with something that makes her look female but isn't a flower. XD;

Can the Vulpix be in the middle and have a tail around Pikachu, the Pikachu looking freaked out and possibly letting out some sparks and can the Houndour be glaring at the Pikachu (from the left side of the picture)? =3 Hopefull you understand what I mean and it isn't too much. ^^;

Courtney Flamesong: as we all know, the official grovyle sprite is crap. (Same as groudon.) A while back, I made a PO of a drawing of mine, so I edited that and used it for the sprite instead. That's why it's a little bigger. I'm a fan of the glowing cranium, but I'm a little iffy on the spine and pelvis.


I don't know if I replied to this earlier, but college kind of kicks me in the face too. It steals my siblings.

XD This is the middle of my school year; we've had 8 days canceled to bad weather, so they have to tack the majority of the make-up days on at the end, while also moving teacher in-service days to make way for more make-up days. And I'll have a glorious 3-day weekend for Easter, no doubt. I guess if they do that, I'll just be missing in-service days instead of an actual last day of school. Hope that clears it up. XD

Mewtu: No problem! The filenames look a bit better on my computer with capitalization, spaces, and occasionally not cut off. That particular one comes from a song (most are indeed lyrics, some misinterpreted) called Sweet Road by Animal Collective; they start saying it at about : 38 even though they're more likely saying "I am on sweet road." But It sounds a lot like "I am a chipmunk." XD
Hope you feel better, too!

Everyone: I know they may not be your style (they're pretty weird) but you definitely ought to give the band Animal Collective a listen. You may or may not have heard them before, but I'm just throwing it out there because I really like them.

Yes, I'm now back open! Please try not to request when my 5 slots are full, and don't even think about exploiting that 'try' to your advantage. Those slots are there for the sake of ninja'd, and I shouldn't really need 5. AT ALL.

Anywho, I figured I might as well come in here and request something from the thread that has my namesake in the title.

My request goes thusly: an avatar ready picture of an irritated looking Octillery with Doc Ock arms doing... well, whatever. Heck, you could just have him posed with his arms crossed and glaring at you.

(Or if you're feeling adventurous, you could try doing Doctor Octavius himself as a fullsized MS Paint thingy that I could resize later, but I'm not really expecting you to do this. I know how hard humans are to do, being a bit of an artist myself.
... it'd be nice if you could give it a try though -shot'd- quit trying to make people to do hard stuff for you, Octopus)

PS: My avatar thread has a better description of the Doc Ock Octillery. And a reference, if you need it, is in the first post as well. The one with the Doc Ock Octillery in it is the one that Dragon Guardian Negative Diamond did. HGGH- I love it! -puts it in rotation and avatar thread with due credit- I especially like how the Ock arms are folded rather than his actual tentacles... I almost get the feeling that the picture was supposed to have been taken from the front but someone else snuck up on him and snapped that one just as he was turning around. 'Tis win.

I may just have to bother you again for something else at a point later in time. Perhaps we could work out an art trade of some sort?
(And Grayson... there's a reason that requests are closed - Jello's busy working on stuff. Be patient~ )
