Hello everyone~!

Wow, absolutely love how many people are participating in the Halloween event!
People are posting more, chatting on Discord and trying to collect those cool prizes.

Maybe you guys noticed as well - a bunch of users have been offering up cool ideas for future SWSH themes, and are always thinking how to make the site even more fun. You're awesome, I love it! That's why I couldn't shake the thought that I want to give you guys the opportunity to... design events. Use your imagination!

With the new event system in place, we could have an event more often, without needing a Root Administrator to implement it.
I'm absolutely sure you guys will have a lot of excellent ideas for events like the Halloween one.

• Event Name: Love Letters
• Tell us a little more about your idea: Basically the purpose of this event is to make Unown more accessible. Each of the 28 Unown will be available as a prize. The Coin-holding pokemon will be based on various pokemon that I think are related to Unown in some way... I will try to justify each of them!
• These Pokémon are eligible for hatching with Coins:
  Aerodactyl - It's in one of the Ruins of Alph slide puzzles, and is ancient, just like Unown...
  Baltoy - Another ancient pokemon!
  Hippopotas - As you collect Unown in the Solaceon Ruins, in the Ruin Maniac will dig through the tunnel on Route 214 and Hippopotas will become more common.
  Kabuto - Another Ruins of Alph slide puzzle...
  Litwick - This one's sort of a post-hoc justification... so if you scroll down you'll see that a Dreidel is included as one of the prizes because the sides are marked with Hebrew letters, so I thought it would be nice to include it here. My other reason (which is probably even worse) is that I was thinking of pokemon related to writing, so I thought of Shauntal, a writer! Chandelure is her ace, so... yeah...
  Natu - Found in the grass in the Ruins of Alph! Probably gets into all sorts of psychic shenanigans with Unown.
  Omanyte - Another Ruins of Alph slide puzzle...
  Poliwag - Another Ruins of Alph alumnus!
  Sigilyph - Another ancient pokemon... I admit the main connection here is Sigilyph's dangling "upper eye" which resembles Unown A. It fits nicely with Natu and adds more of these ancient anthropologist vibes!
  Smeargle - A pokemon known for making markings - it pairs so well with Unown! It is also found in the grass in the Ruins of Alph!
  Wishiwashi - This might be another random connection but it's been known that if several Unown gather together and start swarming, they become very powerful. It reminded me of Wishiwashi!
  Wooper - Found in the waters of the Ruins of Alph - also people familiar with the Unown exploration may have fun searching for that pink Wooper!
  Yamask-Galar - Another "ancient" pokemon but it evolves into Runerigus which is based on runestones - essentially gravestones with runes carved into them that tell the story of the dead Viking buried there. This "writing" motif was too good to leave out.
  Yamask - Less relevant than its Galar form, but it's another pokemon related to ancient artifacts and such.
  Zubat - This may seem like an odd choice, but I chose Zubat because in Mystery Dungeon Time, Darkness, and Sky it is found in Aegis Cave alongside Unown! Machoke is also found but it is absent from the Ice section. Also I wanted to be able to say this event has all pokemon from A-Z ;P

  Each of the 28 Unown, which will cost 30 coins each. Infinite stock.
  Lugia and Ho-Oh - 100 coins each. Infinite stock.
  Entei, Suicune, Raikou, and Celebi - 200 coins each. Infinite stock.
  Regirock, Regice, Registeel, and Regigigas - 200 coins each. Infinite stock. (More regis may be included!)

For the Unown idea (love you Euca, I knew you wouldn't let me down... At least not a lot) I'd like to suggest to add lots of other pokemon that start with the letters that Euca missed. I propose a lot of ground or rock Pokemon because, I imagine, they would be great for digging/meant to be digged, and that is linked to anthropologists, which Euca also mentioned in the Sigilyph Poke (and is kind of linked to Unown too as far as I know due to ruins and all that). As Euca did, my justification for each one:

C - Cubone (Ground and skulls, which are not so weird to find in caves and places where ancient civilizations stayed) and/or Carbink (because they can be found during excavations, and also because of thier diamonds that they have in their bodies: ancient civilizations would also have precious stones in their temples [like jade in mayan temples])

D - Ditto/Drilbur/Durant (The first two due to the ground type, the third one due to ants being frequent in lots of places but ALSO because they make a nice metaphor for how ancient civilizations worked as a team to create elaborate structures [temples or anthills], which they sometimes end up leaving completely)

E - Ekans (Frequent animals in some temples and ancient civilizations. In fact, some even worshiped them... Kinda [like Quetzalcoatl, partly])

F - Ferroseed (Cave-dwelling Pokemon. But ALSO because some civilizations sometimes buried their leaders with fruits/seeds that had a meaning for them, as is the case of the egyptian civilization with Lotus fruits [iirc])

G -Geodude (because rocks!), Gligar (bat and scorpion mix, which are stereotypical animals that you would see in ruins) or Gastly (the thought of ruins being scary because there are spirits in there)

I - Illumise (because some civilizations would also stay nearby forests [like Palenque, Chiapas] and stuff, which would have fireflies around to light up at night!)

J - Joltik (Spider! Also common in ruins!)

M - Magikarp, of course (I believe there are some temples built around lakes, like in India. Even without that, most civilizations also stablished around fresh water deposits due to the resources you have there. Now, Magikarps is said to be even in the smallest puddle in the Pokemon world [or something like that], so it makes sense that Magikarp would be in there too!)

Q - Qwilfish (Honestly, there's no other Pokemon that starts with Q so you got me there)

R - Roggenrola (I remember the dex states that they compare a lot with Carbink and Geodude to see which is stronger, and given that the other two are in this list too, I think it might be a good idea to add this one too!)

T - Totodile, maybe? (People worshiping crocodile-like gods!)

U - UNOWN! (Of course! Hatching Unown should also give you a chance to another coin! Little letters multiplying themselves!)

V - Volbeat (same reason as Illumise)

X - ... I've no idea for this one. Woops.

And that's the Pokemon I would add! Having more Pokemon in the roster might encourage people to be active even longer, since they could also shiny hunt for all of those 'mons!

For Prizes I think I would also suggest Zarude (unlimited, 300) due to them living in forests which again, maybe due to the bias I have from Mesoamerican culture, I can clearly picture that environment besides ruins.

I'm open to other pokemon being added to this list... if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to ask!
