Why did I receive the same shiny race request twice?

Bit the bullet and figured things out myself! Thankfully canceling the double request didn't shut down my race.

It won't let me add a picture on mobile, but for now I'll try to explain it as best I can.

This morning, a user on my Pal Pad sent me a request for a shiny race and for some reason, it showed up twice [as if it were two separate things]. I accepted the first box that showed up and it's now under my present races, but the 2nd one is still there showing up under "enqueued". It won't let me do anything but pick reject for the enqueued one; the "choose a Pokémon" option is just blank. If I forfeit the glitched request, will it cancel the actual race?

I've hatched several Eggs now but they're not showing up as hatched, is it because of this weird 2nd request thing? The race was set to "fewest Eggs hatched".
