Hey guys! Did you all enjoy last month's thread? (: I hope so! Every month a new community thread will be made and the old one will be discarded into the archives. I don't want a super huge thread to continue to get even bigger, so I hope everyone is excited for a fresh start every month!

If you're new here then don't be shy! The community thread is the place to come and chat with fellow members of the site who share a common interest with you. Talk about whatever you want, whether it's GPX related or something going on in your personal life, just be sure to read the rules first before posting. There's always someone on the forums to read and respond to your posts, so chat away and maybe you'll meet some great people!

Rules
If any staff member catches word of anyone bullying other members there will be punishments; such as, not being able to be eligible for the drawing, and a warning of a percentage that staff seems suitable for the committed infraction. If I find out anything I will send you a message saying what I heard/saw while leaving everyone else anonymous — so have no fear if you need to report someone — and tell you what you did wrong and why you’re being punished in such a way. Fair enough? Please keep it civil!

• Regular forum rules still apply here. Basically don't double post. Don't ask for clicks every time you fill your party. Unless it gets out of hand*, I'm okay with you linking to an exploration Pokemon who needs a specific berry.
  
  *out of hand meaning I don't want to see Pokémon being linked just for leveling or if they need drinks for happiness. These kinds of interactions can be handled just fine by being in your parties and signatures.
  
  
• While posting an exploration Pokémon is A-OK, it is NOT okay to make those your only posts and have absolutely no other interaction in this thread. It's a community thread, not a personal dumping ground.
  
  
• Do not post shinies in here. There's a http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?showtopic=5491 for that. You can, however, post the text from obtaining your shinies such as the shiny egg message, the shard you received, and the finishing a shiny hunt message.
  
  
• Do not litter your post with swear words.
  
  
• DO NOT NOMINATE YOURSELF. If you send me a PM nominating yourself you'll receive a verbal warning. Do it again and you will be placed in the restricted group which will prevent you from being able to win an event egg during the duration of the event.
  
  
• Do not make this thread's nominations a popularity/clique group. Even if you don't like someone, send them a nomination if they're following the rules and being active in the thread. Please be fair!
  
  
• Do not suck up to staff who are participating in discussion. We will notice this. Not cool, man! (Talking and sucking up are two different things and we'll notice the difference, I promise. So don't be scared to talk to us!)
  
  
• No memes. Examples: Scumbag Steve, Good Guy Greg, Bad Luck Brian, Socially Awkward Penguin, Awkward Moment Seal, etc. If you want to post an image to give imagery to your post, such as the kind of breed your dog or cat is, a screenshot of the villagers in your animal crossing game, your new haircut, etc. then that's fine. Put them in a spoiler though.
  
  
• Gifs are allowed, but don't overuse them. If the thread turns into nothing but gif replies, I'll give everyone a 10% warn that was involved because it's just plain out spam! If you feel that you know of a gif that is relevant to the conversation, such as dis gon be gud, then go ahead and put it in a spoiler tag. That's fine!
  
  
• No quote pyramids! Be sure to cut out everything that was before what you're replying to. They can get long and make a page annoying to scroll through, so be considerate to your fellow members!
  
  
• A post must be AT LEAST one sentence long. If you’re saying hi or bye to someone be sure to add something more to your post.

Nominations
What are nominations?
Nominations are a side thing of the community thread to encourage participation. Anyone who gets a nomination from any user is entered into a monthly raffle where the winners (there are 3 of them) get to choose a legendary or novelty, barring Arceus, to be handed out in the egg distribution. Details about the egg distribution are in the second post of this thread.

The criteria to look for when choosing people to nominate is based on their participation in this thread. That's all. Just participation!

How do I nominate someone?
To nominate someone you need to send me a list of names through a PM titled 'Nominations' and from there I will keep track of all the names that were sent in.

Example:
Zerxer
Big Bidoof
Jen
Darth Krytie

OR

Zerxer, Big Bidoof, Jen, Darth Krytie

Both of those ways work fine.

What do you do with the nominations once they're sent?
I put them in a PHP script that will randomly choose three winners each month.

There are no restrictions to sending nominations, so if you want to send some twice a week, once a month, or everyday that's fine! Only nominate people who are being active in this thread. Nominations from elsewhere and the IRC will not count.

In the end, this is all for FUN, so remember that! Don’t get competitive with other users, make friends instead! Besides, being angry and stressed will make you break out, and you don't want to break out, so think of your skin! Jokes aside, please be respectful of everyone around you. If something rubs you the wrong way then send a private message to the person and talk it out. Leave the drama in private, or I, or other mods that are on, will chase you with our warn sticks!!!

How to get an egg from this event

• You must keep at least one slot open in your party.
• You MUST have logged in sometime on GPX+ in the last two weeks.
• You can not be in the restricted group.

IMPORTANT EVENT NOTES

1. No, you do NOT have to be online at the time I am sending out eggs.
2. These eggs do NOT show up in the Lab for the event. They are sent out randomly.
3. There is ONE set shiny for each Pokémon, but every other egg has a regular chance of being shiny.
4. If you obtain ONE of the eggs from this event, you will NOT be able to obtain another one from this same event. This means if you get an egg on day 1 of this event, you can't get an event egg from any other day during this event. By the way, abandoning an event egg does nothing. So if you get one you might as well keep it and be happy.
5. If we find any accounts being made just to get eggs from the event then they will be immediately banned along with your main.
6. If you were a winner of the raffle, your chosen Pokémon will be spawned into your party on the day of the event. It won't be forced shiny, but there's always a small chance just like any other egg! This will not count as an event egg and you can still receive one from the event.
7. There is no guarantee that you'll receive an egg. There have been about 3k users online daily and there are only 1,750 eggs going out, so that at least gives you a little more than a 50% chance at getting something.
8. Eggs chosen will not be available to pick from again for 3 months. If x legendary was in the January egg distribution, then it can not be chosen again until May.
9. I will be aiming for 4 p.m. server time to start the event, but keep in mind that there is no set time of day these show up. I have to be online in order to run the script.

Event dates and what's being handed out

• June 3rd: Xerneas - Winner: Vibrancy - 350 eggs
• June 4th: It's June so watch out for the bugs! ~ Genesect ~ 350 eggs
• June 5th: Shadow Lugia - Winner: Rookie Roo - 350 eggs
• June 6th: Remember to drink some Pure Spring Water to stay hydrated! ~ Suicune - 350 eggs
• June 7th: Zygarde - Winner : Phoenicis - 350 eggs

Yay for the month of June!

Man, that means 2015 is nearing its halfway point. o_o This year is going by waaaaay too fast, lol. Somebody slow down time, please.

Also, now that my right knee has fully healed, I can finally start running again. Hopefully, I won’t injure myself from over-exercising again, lol.

No clue as to the June bugs reference.

But as for the Pure Spring water? Doomy, I'm leaning more towards Splash Chikorita. Suicune, I picture as more of a winter pokemon.

Last month the mystery eggs were novelties, weren't they? So they'll probably be novelties this time. I agree with fresh spring water probably being splash chikorita.

I'm also very very eager to see what the shiny new novelty will look like.

I'm thinking the bug one might be Genesect indeed... I mean, are there any bug novelties? And since Suicune is the "purifier of water" after all, that does sound fitting, but it could be Keldeo too. Anyway, I'm going for Xerneas, and if I don't get it, then I'll try Zygarde, even though it's risky.

Actually, one was a novelty. The other was a Legendary. But there were three legends and 2 novelties given out in May, since one of the winners CHOSE a Novelty as their prize. It got alternated, but stayed as a Novelty.

So, I hatched my free Eternal flower, and bought two additional vouchers, so I could get the full line.

I think it's about bed time for Bongo. I've been up since 4:30 AM May 31, for the most part. {There might have been a few micro-naps in there, but I don't think I had any substantial sleep anyway.} And I blame Scary Movie and Ender's Game as to why I've been awake that long.

I need to work on my Novelty Dex. I'm missing 12 Dex entries.

guess who's back, back again, shady's back, tell a friend

So I haven't been on GPX in at least a year, possibly more, and just hopped back on last night aaaand boy howdy do I have a bunch to catch up on, hahah. At least getting most of my Kalos Dex was fairly easy- I just have a few weather-evolves left plus Sylveon. Past keepin' an eye on the weather, I'm planning on trying to get a better Battle Tower team (because I'm tired of getting my cephalopod booty kicked half the time), finishing Happy Ending and Hatching Insanity, blasting through a bunch of explos, and trying to hatch enough shinies to do my first run on the Arceus explo.

Kind of a lot on my plate with all that, haha.

I tried to get a shiny blue Flabebe for the 30-ish hours I had left to particpate in the SWSH, but uh... I ended up with a shiny yellow and red one instead. :l I can't complain, but... blue flower. :c

Anywhos, yeah. Hi, I'm back, for anyone who remembers me from ye olde days of 2009-2013-ish. c:

But doesn't Aurora cover all weather evolutions? If it does, all you'd need to do is have the ones you still need to evolve at the evolution level, and you should be good?

Eternal Flabebe is so pretty omg. I can't wait to see the shiny to determine if I ever wanna go for a shiny.. but for now I started a hunt and used my two extra vouchers that I bought to hope for a shiny, but at least to have one of each stage. I forgot to summon one, hatch it then summon the other... derp.

And also thanks to the people who nominated me... Even when I was actually not that active in the thread of last month...

Also, Phoenicis, Vibrancy, HOW COULD YOU?!
I mean, I am happy but... -sigh-
It is actually a rather funny story:
First, I wanted to ask for a Hoopa, yet the site still doesn't have it so I had to change the Pokemon. Then I decided for Zygarde but Jen told me it was already choosen.

Actually, I think she read my mind, since the next Pokemon I wanted was Xerneas, yet she told me it was also choosen (in other words, but oh well).

And I kid you not, I spent about 30 minutes or more trying to find any other Legendary that I wanted needed so I decided for a Novelty which I hadn't yet.
IT WAS HARD TO CHOOSE THOUGH, SINCE I DIDN'T WANTED TO CHOOSE A LEGENDARY THAT WE CURRENTLY HADN'T ANY FORM OF OBTAINING BESIDE THE VOUCHER. *cries in the corner*

Jen, if I ever meet you in real life, I might give you some chocolates for your patience. but since that day hasn't come, here. Have some cybernetic chocolates.

tl;dr: I wanted the same Pokemon that Vibrancy and Phoenicis choose.

Hopefully, people would get a Shadow Lugia without the need to get a Lugia and corrupt it. I still remember when they told me Memphistopheles (please don't kill me if I wrote that incorrectly) got her shiny Shadow Lugia (and I think it was the first one?), so someone will get another one! Yay!

I named my Eternabebe Morning Glory. I wanted to go for a name of a poisonous flower. I originally wanted to call it nightshade, but I didn't realize the colors were pretty light.

@RicFule: Ecch, yeah, I wasn't counting the forms. It's gonna take a while to get those flags, considering how long it takes a Pokemon in the Underground... and then it'll probably take me even longer for the Furfrou combs considering I'm terrible at Tower battling, pfft. This is why I'm trying to get a better team together.

on a moderately related note it's... kind of funny how on my first full day back I broke my single-day interaction record by almost half as much more: 100k. still don't know how people can get to 250k though, considering that 100k took me pretty much all day off and on.

@Raven: Pfft, nah, I'm old hat at this. Mostly. There are just a couple things I'm not quite up to speed on- kind of an oldie newbie, I guess? Last time I was on the Kalos Pokemon hadn't been released, and I think the first Mega Stones might have been given out, but the capability to evolve wasn't implemented yet. I think. 's kind of vague that far back, haha.

I can understand thinking that though, considering I haven't been on for over a year and then wham bam suddenly there's a villain scientist at the top of the daily interactions list. ovo

So I have all three of the exploration Pokes for June...which means it's Pink Arceus time! (well, once I finish TBD)

The first thing I did when I saw there were new trinkets was open 76 chests with Chance Power

I'll be happy if I end up with any of the raffle prizes for this month, I don't think I have any of them!

IDK how many of you saw/remember the pretty art I showed a while back ((last month thread)) but that was art from a 'pet breeding'. The same place recently came out with a breeding item that is super expensive. Now, I'd been saving and kept thinking about causing my points in but never did. And when that came out I was glad! But keep in mind, you randomly find items worth between 1-10 points, anything 5 or above is INSANELY hard to find, and the thing was going to run me 225k points!

I just got it. I'm just waiting on the ones to breed.

I actually earned this thing fair and square and...

I'm dying of anticipation.

I just used some of the filters in the collection tab because I noticed I got more than one of a few of them and wanted to put them in the market and I just checked the ones with the smallest amounts and noticed I got two of those Inkay Headdresses (I think that's what it's called).

According to the dex info, no shinies. Two people are breeding them and two people are hunting for them, but that might not be right because I think it was 2 once before, but then I'm breeding and hunting for them too (probably hasn't been updated yet)

Huh wonder what the shiny version will look like then. Mine is like 1 interaction away from hatching. Last I checked it was stuck at 99%. Want it to hatch so I can sleep! :p at least Blue Illusion hit level 100 so I could unlock him and evolve and shiny box as well.

I love that there's another egg distribution this month! When people are saying that they want to try for one, does that mean you fill up your party so that you don't get the egg you don't want on that day in hopes of possibly getting the egg on the day that you want? One of the admins (can't remember who sorry D:) tries to start the script at 4pm (either their time or GPX time, I don't remember) So if you wanna skip day 1, have 6 eggs around that time

@Nemu: It depends on the compatibility and if you have Destiny Knot. Mine produces 5 since I have Destiny Knot and the two pokemon like each other a lot

Those mystery eggs still make me think we could get something new xD I should probably wait for Zygarde since I don't have one... But I'm prety sure I know what the Pure Spring Water mystery egg is, and whenever that exploration comes around the other two are more important to me. Hmm...
The bug one is interesting. If it's referring to the type, there aren't really that many options, at least if those eggs are always legends/novelties.

Just started the Deoxys exploration, then I'll do one or both of the specials, a few normal explorations and then there's another Arceus plate waiting for me. Maybe even two if I get two more Zap or Draco Shards in time. I want to do the exploration with two or more plates at least once.

Genesect, Fossil Anorith and Arceus [Bug] are all listed as Bug Type but we have Genesect exploration active this month. What fossils we get from the Underground is random so it could be Fossil Anorith. The only get another Arceus of a certain type once you have forged a plate and completed the exploration for Arceus Type would be via an event.

There is also the possibility of a MissingNo egg which is a bug in the Pokemon videogames that clones items and has weird graphics.

There's something weird going on with the stats for the new trinkets. It looks like the stats doesn't know about the existence of certain rarity 1 trinkets, making the total less than there should be, and if you have any of these, it will say that you have NaN% of those trinkets if you look at the sub categories that include those.

I did a round of chance power to kick off the twelfth set. Don't know how many days I'll do this, since I remain paranoid about some of the limited sets. Doing quick progress on the trinkets is fun. It's a wonder what can happen when users place trinkets on the market and make offers.

I think I will shoot for Xerneas and then Zygarde. There's only one egg I don't have, and that is Yveltal, so I'm not getting that anyway, so I might as well try for one that can't be obtained by summoning.

I play splatoon, which was mentioned by Jen somewhere at the end of the May thread. Playing with friends is basically no different from playing online generally, you just join into their lobby when there is a spot open. Whenever I have joined a friend, I have always gotten to play the next match, and not had to wait for that match to finish as well. The teams are just random in regular matches, so you don't really get stomped by the other team all the time, but playing with higher level players can be challenging since they have access to more weapons and gear with more abilities, plus they also have more experience. At least it doesn't take too long to level up when you know what you're doing. Playing the story mode can also be a good idea, since you get weapons after each boss battle, and I think you get something more when you finish it, but I haven't gotten that far yet.

About the egg giveaway, I'm definitely going for Xerneas since that will prevent me to do the exploration twice when it comes out. In regards the Mystery eggs, the last one is definitely Splash Chikorita. The first one... I would go for Genesect (the person who choosed it had no idea that we would get the exploration this month; and the movie came out in July, which is a bit stretching, but yeah), a specific Vivillon or some Mega (Heracross, Scizor, Pinsir).

Other than that, I was about to go for a third round on the Deoxys exploration, but: "Because of this, you must wait another 17 days, 2 hours to embark on it again.".

you dont. to my understanding it's basically just keeping your party full of 6 until the day of the egg you want, where you get a free space, hoping you get that pokemon.


Anyway, i managed to grab al 5 shiny flabebes and forged a pixie plate. I kinda want Fairy Arceus, but i cbf doing that exploration again. I'll just wait and hope and pray for the day you can actually use the plates to change Arceus' forme once you obtain a plate, coz i cbf doing that exploration again

Since forever? Well, you have no guarantee that you'll get one, since there are only 350 eggs distributed per day, but if you want Zygarde, just "lock" your party with 6 mons on the other days.

Except no contest winner "chose" that egg. I'm thinking the mystery eggs are chosen by the Admins or such. Plus, even if it was, wouldn't it be like the DW/Zergoose switch last month? Where one was chosen, but because the exploration was released for DW, the winning egg was switched to a different Novelty?

A specific Vivillion would be interesting. Maybe something like the Roggenmorpha, where it's different for each affinity.

@ Erty: Since the end of April. There has been a kind-of-sort-of-but-not-really contest going on in the Community threads. People nominate other users and at the end of the month, 3 winners are chosen. Those winners get to choose a Legendary or Novelty for an egg giveaway the following month.

EDIT - Of course, what everyone else is saying about intentionally locking your Party with a full complement of 6 could be what you were meaning as well.

That's almost like mine. But reversed. I have 7 flags. And I HAVE tried getting the combs. But my Battle Tower pokemon are terrible. I just need to sit down and rework who all I have in there. A lot of them are just random level 100s that I grabbed from the Shelter, so their IVs are so far below decent that it's not even funny.

I'm going to say this this way in the hopes that my morning will begin to turn around and actually become good. So. Good morning Everyone!

Kudos and Congrats to our 3 winners: Vibrancy, Rookie Roo and Phoenicis. I have no earthly idea what the Pokemon Zygarde is so I'm naturally hoping for that one. Although... someone mentioned a fresh water... what again? Mmm. That sounds cool! I am a big novelty Pokemon fan (even if I admittedly don't know them all) so I'd also be good with getting the mystery eggs as well. I'd even be cool with getting a Shadow Lugia so... gosh. Makes me dislike this "you have a chance of getting one egg, but you can't get them all." Doh!!

As for today... I was all prepared to begin with either my Spike-Eared Pichu hunt or a June explore... until I saw the aurora. So. Guess I have a special explore to begin before all the others.

Now, about our SWSH prize... from the posts I scanned... there is more than one Sprite to this Eternal Flower? Does that mean it makes sense for me to get more than one voucher? I'm very tempted to get 2 or 3 more. If there are different forms (and from what I hear tell not only is the egg beautiful but the flowers themselves too? NICE!). So I guess that leaves me with the decision. Buy extra vouchers or breed. Gah. Someone. Tell me what to do! My brain is too tired fried to make a decision! *eek*

So you're the genius behind these little black and red jewels? It is officially my favorite sprite in the whole game, with Active Xerneas as #2. It reminds me of a red Hibiscus, which is my favorite flower. And, of course, black and red are one of the best color combos in the world! Thanks so much!

So, it looks like I'm one of the 20 breeders for the new Flower. I was hoping to get the first shiny, but someone beat me to it, lol. Anyway, so far it looks like mine is breeding only Orange Flabebes. I've only tried a few, but that's what I'm getting from my daycare. And if that's the case, I may go ahead and use Orangebebe as my Hatching Insanity choice, since the SWSH and normal shiny hunt last month put me at 677 eggs. Win-win-win!

There's just one form, but it has the same evolution stages as any other Flabebe. So, I guess it depends on whether you want a living dex or not.

Space is a bit of an issue for me as well, so for now I've decided to settle on just having one of every Pokémon that has its own unique egg data. So while I'll have all 4 forms of Sawsbuck in my PC, I won't have all the different Castform, etc.

Wow a new month already. And it starts off in a really nice way for me by hatching a random shiny Horsea, giving me my first splash shard. I hope Ill hatch a shiny Numel soon though cause I'm one shard away from the flame plate.

As for the eggs. I think I'll try for Xerneas. I still need that entire trio, so if I don't get one I can still try for Zygarde.

If you're referring to the SWSH prize, it is the new novelty, the Eternal Flower. If you didn't get a Flabebe shiny during the hunt, but you have prize points, you can buy the voucher from the Prize Shop to get the Eternal Flower.

If you're referring to the June 3 - 7 (I think those were the dates) Egg Distribution, those are randomly given out to active members. It's all about chance though. Some people will hold 6 Pokemon or eggs in their party on the day of an egg release they aren't interested in; but that doesn't guarantee you'll get the one you want. It's still all about chance. The information for the Egg Distribution is the 2nd post in this same thread.

My! And to think, I have 6 boxes of what I call "Homeless". LOL Those usually only get filled during peak multipliers and SWSH hunts though. I was trying to get a male and female of both Pokemon, but I'm seeing that I need to let go of that idea and concentrate more on just one and leveling it up. I like your plan: one per egg entry. So yeah, I see what you're doing. I think I'll adopt that (which means a mega release coming "eventually" for my Pokemon). I also want to track their IVs so that I won't have to have a separate box for battlers and I could, instead, just pull from the full pool, so to speak.

my pokemon boxes are just so muddled up i should do a big sort out, right now i was doing the boxes by dex but it will take me forever only on my third box, then i have two with legandaries, two novelty boxes and a shiny box. Been here for five years but i only half half a box of shinies lol. i do keep taking long hiatus due to personal life and having my children, i have more spare time now the kids have gone to school.

I have a dog. She's quite a handful at times, and occasionally talks back (read: barks at you, or does her cute "growl-talk") if you order to do something like "go in your bed". XD But, she's a lot of fun and even at six-and-a-half years old, she still has her puppy-like energy. One of the funniest things she does is run around the house like an idiot after she's had a bath ("I'm free! I'm free!"), lol.

They have up to twenty babies at a time, though rare they have around 12 most of the time, i had two last week litter of 8 & 15 and i'm unsure how many the two had yesterday as were still labouring i did see more than four with each.

I have dogs as well, and mine do the exact same after a bath run like crazy one has long hair so i dry her with the hair-dryer and she goes nuts lol. What breed is your dog? mine are jack russell and minature pomeranian,

Goooood morning everyone!

My PC could use a little organization, to be honest... I mean, it's semi-organized into shiny boxes, novelty/legendary boxes, boxes for the highest evolution of each species for breeding purposes, and then mostly empty boxes for shiny fails. I have a couple at the top of the list for holding exploration pokemon as well. At this point though, things are kind of cluttered up with extra pokemon that I'm hanging on to until I finish Happy Ending. I'll probably do some 'spring cleaning' once I finish that.

I don't have any pets - my dad's allergic to dogs and cats and also doesn't really like them much ahaha - but congrats on the new mouse/mice, north star!

and holy crow super congrats to forget me now! That's... kind of amazing, getting one that fast. Best of luck on getting more for the full line. c:

My PC is set as a Living Dex. 33 boxes for canon, in Dex order. The only gaps at the moment are Kalos Legends and Arceus. And I'm not certain if when I actually GET my Arceus, if I'll be putting it in there permanently, or only until I can get, IF I can get, a Normal Arceus. Of course, at the moment, my last Kalos box also has randoms in it filling it up. Megas get their own box. I have two boxes of Level 100, 2 for Unown {the second of which has extra non-Unown filling it up}, 6 Novelty, one for Lab caught, which are mostly starters, to level and replace Shelter-grabbed ones in my Living Dex, 1 for Battle Tower pokemon {all of which are NOT 100.}, one box of mostly bugs so I can eventually get Darwinist, 1 box half-filled with Level 100, 6 boxes of "Underground & then Release", a box for future Vivillion, 1 box with a few level 100 and/or high IVs, 2 boxes for shinies, and 5 hatch-and-dump boxes.

I can totally get your nervousness, Kahvinporo. I used to be the same way. I actually got used to game forums like these on another site (note my profile pic, LOL) but when Jen opened these monthly threads up, my post count of 3 kind of got, well, infected.

I'm having a typical Monday over here and blame the truly rancid bad night's sleep. I'd blame it on getting older, but I think its the night's sleep hampered by a noisy ceiling fan and personal things causing my mind to run in circles. Oye! If Monday's aren't bad enough... then you throw in literally getting older on them. *sigh* Just 3 more hours until lunch and maybe I can loose myself for an hour in The Stand that is currently playing on Netflix. *hearts* As for the weather... well... when you live in a desert state such as I am, you realize that it's gonna get hot and no office AC works the way we hope it does. Doh!

The downside to finishing up a previous exploration and starting the Deoxys one a while after reset is the complete and utter lack of required Pokemon anywhere. :/ Can't find any Growlithe at all right now... I put my Arcanine in the Daycare just in case I can't find one in the Safari/Shelter/Lab, but I'm hoping it won't come down to that. (Ock is not a patient supervillain, can you tell?)

You live in AZ as well? Yeah, I totally agree that the Arizonan outdoors is way too hot for, well, anything. XD I woke up at 5:30 am this morning, hoping to go out for a jog at 6 am, but saw that the weather was 80+ degrees (already!) by that point so I was like "k, then. Treadmill it is" D=

It's also supposed to get up to 108 degrees (Fahrenheit; which is 42C for those of you using Celsius) today. Good thing monsoon season is coming up, so hopefully the heavy rain will bring some cooler weather. Though, I don't want too much rain, as the amount of rainfall we've had the past year or so has caused a lot of cacti to rot out. Having a 100+ year old Saguaro die from necrosis is just sad. And having to pull out multiple big barrel cacti is just no fun.


As for PC boxes, I have my living dex sorted in national dex order for the ones I have (including Unowns and legends), and am using Psyducks as placeholders for the ones I have yet to obtain. I still need to add in the Furfrou cuts and the Vivillon patterns; I'll probably start on that later today. With the novelties, I have a living dex for the fossils, and for the breedable novelties I try to have one of each gender (if possible) in order to make a perfect breeding pair. <3 And then, of course, my shiny boxes in whatever random order that suits my fancy.

Hurricane season just got started for the south. We've been lucky the past few years to not be hit extremely hard by one. I can remember vividly what I went through when we were hit hard by one. I remember a long time ago having to evacuate and the cabin we stayed in was small and had no TV or anything and the lights went out one of the days.

I live in so oregon and while we rarely get high humidity in summer, we get temps in the 100s a lot and its terrible to be outside. Ive lived here my whole life and am still not used to that crap. And i have to be outside for my job riding a bike, so summer is really not my favorite season XD Not to mention surrounding forest fires we always get (i live down in a fish bowl so smoke and sometimes ash gets in. No not THAT ash ;))

Soon the road out front of my work will be down to a single lane on one side of the road. Orange is the color in the Dex that gets the Flabebe line's real Pokedex numbers (669-671), while the other colors (1011-1022) are, like other alt formes, up in the massively high ranges with Novelties. So I'm guessing Eternal Flower only breeds Orange because of some programming limitation that only lets it breed one canon 'mon, and Orange happens to be the color that's arbitrarily default for the Flabebe line in the Dex.

@Mamanator: You probably recognize me from here, as of a few years ago. I was active from '09 to '13-ish, then kind of dropped GPX+ for a while, and only just picked it up day before last. Prince Discord, I'm so sorry to hear about your puppy being sick. (they're all puppies to me, no matter their age). Currently we are dog-less but that has more to do with having had to put 2 dogs down since living in AZ and chasing a couple of teenagers (now 3) around. I miss having a dog and wish like crazy we can get one for the girls. I think they're an important part of a teen's growth, but I can't convince my husband of that [yet].

@Mamanator: I probably just saw you around the forums, then. Outside of groups, I also bummed around some of the other forums, like the general GPX discussion, the writing board, and the shops. (I even had a shop of my own where I made userbars and lil overworld animations, heh)

I can't say how the groups are now, but I know when I was in them a while back it was fairly fun. I'll probably stay groupless for the time being, but that's mostly just because I know I'll likely get distracted by something else and drop GPX for a bit, and I don't want to leave anyone in the lurch. Hopefully that happens later rather than sooner, haha.

But yeah, Arizonans just... get excited at any sort of rain, myself included. Obligatory Arizonan rain freakout, heh. Still remember in high school how everyone would be outside between classes getting soaked and nobody cared- at least until you got back inside and those wet socks started feelin' not so great. :P

My girls are true Arizonites (my husband and I are transplants from Jersey) but yeah. My eldest likes to complain about the distance between classes on rainy days. It took me about 15 years to convince my husband that we should buy umbrellas - if for nothing else - for the girls during those rainy school days.

In Pokemon related news... I just realized that, long ago and far away, I earned the Kanto Master badge. I'm 10 shy for the Johto but it looks like, the ones I'm missing, are evolutions of what I must already have. Guess I should make that my first priority before I opt to go all "high roller" with the IVs and such. Now. To see how and whom to evolve to get these last 10....

My PC boxes are mixed. I have all the Pokedex Pokemon, which takes up 30 boxes. I have a box for all the Vivillon's, and another for all the Arceus'. 4 novelty boxes. one for shinies. 4 legendary + Unkown's boxes. 2 boxes for exploration pokemon and BT pokemon, 3 random boxes for leveling/breeding/evolving. Then 19 release boxes. xD

Allright! Finished Mystery Creature of the Ruins! Through my amazing powers of deduction I have determined the identity of my Unown Egg as a "G". Gonna go for another Deoxys now, before getting my first Genesect (and then another Celebi, because apparently I've never actually finished that exploration. The one I have came from the old egg giveaways.)

My PC boxes aren't very organised. I've got 2 boxes of legendaries, 2 for shinies, 4 for novelties, then a bunch of boxes for storing random level 100's for the badge achievements, 2 boxes with stuff that I still need to level for said badge achievements, one box for all Vivilon forms, one box with random high-IV 'mons that need to be trained to lvl 100, then one box for Unown and about 20 failboxes where I store shiny fails until they're filled up. Oh, and a couple of boxes for random non-level 100 pokémon that I don't need for badges, but just to have at least one fully-evolved pokémon of each line.

Today is shaping up to be a good day. Bf is playing his new Destiny game. My baby (11months old) is sleeping. Only fly in the ointment was lunchtime for the baby. He decided he was going to sneeze without first swallowing a mouthful of baby mush. So I got covered in puréed Gerber Mac and cheese and veggies :s Still missing shiny bagon. I have one box dedicated to them (I have a shiny A named Aleph), 4 boxes dedicated to novelties, conveniently named Novedosos1 throuth 4 (I know, very original LOL), a box for exploration pokemon, another for "pending" pokemon (fully evolved pokemon without a nickname), another for "evolution" pokemon (pokemon not fully evolved) and 16 for shiny hunts (i.e. non-shinies from the hunts to be released later)

I just got Splatoon. Woo! Except, I can't get past that first screen (the one of the kid's room that comes up after you select the game). It's been sitting like this for about 10 minutes now (after sitting for about as long two other times where I turned the system on/off). How long is this initial load time supposed to take??? Or is there something wrong with my system...?? (the game disc is fine, it's from GameFly and looks like it was put from a case right into the shipping sleeve, no scratches or dust at all) edit: and other games work just fine.

So I've been hatching Azurill with Adamant thanks to influence power with 120 or higher IVS and I got one for 120 exact XD Hopefully that'll be good enough for my Battle Subway team (I'm still trying for 120+ IVs and Jolly for Aerodactyl to have Mega Aerodactyl on my team) So far I have 3 of 6. I just have to evolve Azurill to Azumarill first (if you guys can give it drinks if you see it while mass clicking, I'd appreciate it <3 I don't wanna link it here since technically only Exploration pokes can be linked)


EDIT: I hatched a shiny Aerodactyl with Jolly nature, but its got crap IVs, so I'ma release him later (I don't have any heart scales) I already have a shiny Mega version so I don't need this one

A week or so ago, I discovered the deep web. I didn't go on it, but even still the stories and pictures I've seen are messed up.

I really enjoy horror, but I'm a huge baby, so it scares me. XD In terms of horror, I actually really like books, they're usually better than movies, in my experience? There's two I really enjoy. Sparrow Rock, by Nate Kenyon, which is like a... apocalyptic sort of thing, and anything by Clive Barker, particularly his short stories.

@Luneon Some of it definitely is! I like to see what people can do with an old genre to twist it around and make it creepy again. That's why reading it can be scarier too sometimes, in my opinion, because then you imagine it yourself.

I used to LOVE horror movies. It was a big bonding time for me and my mother when she was still alive, we'd go to the mom and pop video store up the block rent a ton of classics and just make a night of it.

That eventually turned into fun times with my friends and all that. But now as an adult with awful paranoia/anxiety I can't really watch them or suspense movies anymore. At least, a good chunk of them. I can watch like.. the ones that were super predictable or cheesy for me as a kid lol.

For me, when I watch horror movies, it puts me on the edge, unless it's terribly predictable. But then again no one loves those movies. I don't feel anxious or paranoid while watching, but the years of watching a lot of horror does get me rather paranoid when it's the middle of the night and I hear something outside, or see bright lights out of nowhere.

I took a nap and had a dream earlier, in which I was on GPX+ at one point. I found Ditto egg after Ditto egg, all at once. I was super excited and happy about that. But alas, 'twas just a dream. ;~~~;


If I do find one, I doubt I'll be lucky enough to hatch a shiny. Moreover, I'll need to finish at least one other shiny hunt in order to start an Eternal Flower shiny hunt today... Most of the eggs for my other shiny hunts aren't even around. D;

I think I need to pace myself. I'm re-reading The Chronicles of Narnia, and I'm already back to Book 5 out of the full 7. I still have 4 more days before I can start reading my new books. Five, if I actually count Saturday.

At the moment, I'm in the running for the Venusaurite in Pokemon Shuffle, but I'm somewhere in the 13,000 to 14,000 range, so I could still be passed before the event is over. Not that I'm planning to stop my attempts to raise my score.

Finished two more balloons in Rumble World, Gold & Silver. So I now have 7. I think, balloons where I have all available pokemon.

Some traveler in Rumble World offered me to go to the Super Gene Laboratorium with Mewtwo. I used some of my diamonds to got there twice, and sadly didn't get it even though I did manage to wobble it it the start, but it broke free from wobble.
I gotta say though, I love Mewtwo's battle theme.

I haven't played Pokemon Shuffle in a while. After I got the New 3DS, I transferred my stuff from my original 3DS to it (but one or two of the transfer methods wouldn't work for some reason, if I remember correctly). I had to re-download it from the Nintendo eshop, but it didn't keep my progress. I didn't really feel like messing with the data stuff, so I just played through it again (I wasn't that far anyways). Then, once I thought about how I probably won't be able to get all of the Pokemon anymore (because of the stupid event stages), I just loss interest.

I think the last time I played it was to get Celebi, since it's one of my faves.


On the other hand, I've been playing Pokemon Rumble World quite a bit. Cresselia popped up on the Pearl balloon (I think it was that one), so I used the time stop thing to land on it. Once I got to Cresselia, she was sparkling!
I guess Cresselia likes me a lot more than certain other legendaries. *glares at Kyogre and Lugia*

So as I was writing part of my story, I had a hard time figuring out what I should put next, so I put this thing where one of the guys is being woken up from a dream of him eating chocolate-covered raisins with his girlfriend. After I reread it, I decided to keep it because it added to how kind of out-there they are sometimes. I'm also writing a part where he imagines himself in a music video which involves him about to jump off of a bridge when someone stops him and shows him parts of his life he would miss out on if he did jump. It's a bit scary writing about someone being on the verge of suicide.

I'm close to finishing the feeding task. I'm hoping to wrap the whole thing up tonight and get started on Celebi later. I haven't done that one in a while.

This is strange. Actually talking to people on GPXPlus. I've played this game for five years now, and I've never really gotten active in the community. I know there is a great community here, but I just... haven't. However, I believe I have been a shadow for far too long.

So, hi guys. I'd like to introduce myself.

My name is Nathan, and I am twenty years old. I am from Pennsylvania, although I am currently working as an editor at a film internship in Texas.

My interests are quite vast, which can be annoying sometimes because I have to daily choose what to pursue, and what to work on, while forgoing my others... I am an editor, as aforementioned, but I also quite enjoy acting, graphics, directing, QCing, et cetera... Also, reading, and definitely video games.

Video games are very special to me, actually. I grew up playing video games. I wasn't one of those kids who grows up with parents who just let them sit inside for their entire childhood, staring at a screen, but one of those who would play them often, along with enjoying the wonderful beauty of the outdoors, and everything in life still being new and fresh, as childhood offers.

Video games became more of a love as I grew older, and I decided to create a gaming Youtube channel so I could share what I loved with the world. I'm not going to advertise it here, however, as I see that is against the rules. *Nods* However, that channel is actually a big part of my life now, so I felt it was fitting to mention it here.

One thing that began quite early for me was Pokémon. I've been playing since Pokémon Yellow version was out, and I've been a die-hard fan ever since. I've played every generation, and never really bored of it or, "grew out of it". I remember when I really started using the internet frequently, I realized that people actually made ONLINE GAMES with Pokémon. That made me quite happy. I remember playing one for a good while seven or so years ago... I think it was the original, "The Pokémon Crater" or something? I don't remember.

One day though, a friend of mine from another game told me about GPXPlus. It sounded interesting, and a very unique take on a Pokémon game, so I signed up.

Thus began the end of my life.

Only kidding. But I've been playing it ever since, with only a small break here and there, and I'm proud to say that I plan on sticking around until the very end. (Which, seemingly, won't be as soon as some people worried. Thank you so much, new Staff, for being so great and bringing this game back to life again!)

So, that's a very brief description of myself, some of my interests, and my love of Pokémon.

Now, how are you guys? I feel that I really should get involved with the community here, at least a little bit. It feels good to finally step out of the shadows.

So mostly off topic, but my best online friend finally found a new place to live and will be moved in hopefully by the end of this month. I'm very slowly working on getting my Battle Subway Team underway. So far I have 2 completed ones and 1 I'm working on. So far they're an Adamant Heracross (with Leftovers), Adamant Azumarill (which I will be giving a choice band to once they're in the shop) and a Jolly Mega Aerodactyl (working on obtaining a good IV one) Once I have Mega Aerodactyl, I'm going to go back to the Guide by Sam for other suggestions (or you can PM me some)

For the PokeHunt, I'm either going with Garchomp or Torterra (more than likely Torterra since the hatching won't take as long (that depends if my Gible egg hatches with good IVs or not))

Give it Leftovers, Amnesia, Iron Defense, and you may want to spring for Rest, too.

Azumarill doesn't work well as a sweeper! Save it for high-damage dealers!

No problem. I run an Azumarill myself on my backup team, so I'm more than happy to impart wisdom. :P

For Heracross, I would recommend Swords Dance, either Agility or Recover, Rock Smash, and Leech Life. Don't waste special moves on physical attackers and vice-versa. I'd also recommend giving it Leftovers, or a Rock/Electric Gem to attempt to read and eliminate flying types (But be VERY wary-most Flyers can OHKO Heracross!) If you DO go that route, replace Recover/Agility with the physical gem move.

ALSO: Try to Mega it as soon as possible! Megas now have boosted stats compared to their neutral states, so there's rarely a reason not to (The exception being Mewtwo X, maybe Gyarados due to type change)

Meanwhile I've been having some bad days. My pc continues to randomly freeze (though it's less frequent now and I got more or less used to it. It's not that annoying so I'll just bear with it because I don't think we can afford a new one), and I don't feel like doing anything (I've even skipped a couple meals these last days). Maybe the heat is behind everything, but I think there's more to it in both cases

I just hope I can get the motivation to do that second DotW run, finish Persona 2 IS and progress a bit with my visual novel backlog School Days really annoys me but I'm a completionist and I want all endings orz
