Global PokédeX Plus Forums _ Other Games _ How broken is your Gameboy, Ds or whatever?

Posted by: Rayquaza Jun 5 2009, 06:12 PM

Just curious.
I just discovered this huge crack on the hinge of my gameboy sp, it's so big that you could see the inside.
Somehow it still works.

My ds has a small crack on the hinge but it's not too big.

How about your video game system?

Posted by: The Silver Falcon Jun 5 2009, 06:15 PM

Mine is horribly disfigured. It's pink. shakefist.gif

Posted by: sad love song Jun 5 2009, 06:17 PM

My Gameboy Advanced is.. well... gone. Disappeared, so I dunno.
My DSLite is perfectly fine, though.

Posted by: Roxas123 Jun 5 2009, 06:19 PM

My DS is missing in Action.
All of my other old systems are missing the battery holder cover.

Posted by: Seadragon Jun 5 2009, 06:24 PM

My DS is fine, but only because I've had to fix it about a billion times, since it's broken so many times.

Posted by: Tuketi Jun 5 2009, 06:36 PM

A piece snapped off one of the hinges on my DS so it doesn't stay in a certain place by itself... if it opens, it opens all the way unless I hold it up myself. :P It's sad... *shrug*

Posted by: Usagi Zakura Jun 5 2009, 06:42 PM

I have a Game Boy Color.
And it still works fine:3 (Though if it is on and I just lightly tap it at a table by accident it freezes entirely and the game disappears... but I don't know if this is because its old or it was just made this way, doesn't happen to the DS)
The DS is actually my brother's... its fine, but has a few scratches on the touch screen but they're a bit hard to avoid:B
I sold my GBA.

Posted by: Ashelotta Jun 5 2009, 06:51 PM

My DS is fine.
Ps2 has a messed up cord that you need to wiggle to fix
Xbox is good
PSP is MIA

Posted by: derpchu Jun 5 2009, 06:56 PM

I have the old version of the DS, and the touch screen rarely works, due to constant smashing on it by my brother

Posted by: LucarioandDiagla Jun 5 2009, 06:58 PM

the top half of my DS came off and my dad super glued it back on. It still works except the right corner button which i need more than i thought

Posted by: DLG Jun 5 2009, 07:29 PM

My Gameboy Advance is messed up but awesome

My A & B buttons on it have shattered from dropping the system and I ended up opening up the thing and replacing them with wooden ones with the A/B printed on them in sharpie

Posted by: Celes Jun 5 2009, 08:51 PM

My GBA SP is fine, though it has a tiny scratch on the very top.

My DS Lite is pretty much perfect aside from one newly-dead pixel on the top screen. Luckily I can only see it when the game I'm playing is dark.

Posted by: Airdra Jun 5 2009, 09:08 PM

I tend to be really obsessive about keeping my stuff in good condition, and so far, everything is, except my DS Lite. Darn thing developed a tiny little hinge crack that over time has become a less-than-tiny hinge crack. x_x.gif

Posted by: Emsy Jun 5 2009, 09:11 PM

My Game Boy Color is all melted. >.>; I would take it everywhere with me as a kid, but my mother wouldn't let me take it in some places. So I would just take it for the car ride and leave it in there, in the hot sun. It has a rubber cover that's stuck to it as well, but I'm lucky my Gold version came out unharmed. Now I just need to get a cheap SP to play it again. :c

Posted by: Trick Jun 5 2009, 09:12 PM

My DS Lite's screen is hanging by a couple of wires, and the screen has 2 cracks in it.

Posted by: Redemption Jun 5 2009, 09:17 PM

My GBA is in pretty good condition, although time did do its damage....

Posted by: AT Jet Jun 5 2009, 09:23 PM

Advance: Dunno, do know the part to hold the batteries in is missing.
Advance SP: Good condition. Minor scratching.
DS: Almost perfect. Only problem is one very tiny tooth dent in the top screen from a rage moment.

Posted by: Lotte Jun 5 2009, 09:30 PM

My Gameboy Color, GBA and my SP all have some small dents and stuff from over the years. My old DS is in good condition, but it's always had a dead pixel in the bottom screen. My DSlite is in very good condition, considering it's been dropped now and again~ xD

Posted by: Sakubo Jun 5 2009, 10:18 PM

My SP is one of those that has a cool design on it and somehow it got these deep scratchs on it. o: never found out how they got there. T3T
My DS is alrighty. grin.gif altough it it kind of off a bit on the hinge part but it still opens and closes just fine. grin.gif

Posted by: geqcreature Jun 5 2009, 10:31 PM

The only game system of mine to break was my DS ......twice. Once, when I accidently dropped it and the screen cracked. Next, when my sister " spilled " water on it.

Posted by: Blackflame Phoenix Jun 5 2009, 10:38 PM

My GBA-SP works just fine still. My DS was stolen...=[
I'm saving up to buy a new one though =D

Posted by: Reyo Jun 6 2009, 12:41 AM

PSP: One is broken do to it falling on the floor. I treat my second one like a freaken GOD thanks to what happened to the first one.
DS: One is MIA (I have a feeling someone took it...and I know who it might be >.>). The second one is fine.
GBC: Most likely sold it.
GBA: I still have it for when I feel like playing Crystal version (which has my lvl 100 Gengar X3)
GC: It's fine. Old, but fine.
GBA SP: In half.
Wii: The controllers have some connection issues when lead to a few rage moments with them. Now one of the nunchucks won't click into the wiimote and the B button is stuck on one of the wiimotes as well.

I'm a fairy violent person. lion.gif

Posted by: Zoe Jun 6 2009, 04:56 AM

I'm lucky enough to never have anything bad happen to my consoles. The worst thing is a big scratch across my old Game Boy Colour.

Posted by: Flamer Jun 6 2009, 07:56 AM

Both my DS are fine. The volumes broken on my GBA though. And one of our Wii Remotes has been playing up badly recently as well dumblook.gif

Posted by: Shinzon Jun 6 2009, 08:32 AM

My DS has a little burn mark but apart from this tiny stain everything's still clean and working as it should. *knocks on wood* ^_^.gif

Posted by: kaygirl101 Jun 6 2009, 08:56 AM

I broke one of the hinges on my DS lite, so now it opens flat, not on an angle like it's supposed to. My last DS broke at a hinge, so the screen was almost ripped off pinch.gif

Posted by: Beto Atiro Jun 6 2009, 08:59 AM

All of my Wii Remote Batteries are broken, so I use normal batteries. My first DS's touch screen and top screen broke apart because I accidentally kept dropping it on the floor. Part of my New DS is broken so you can see a yellow light inside when it is on, but it still works as before. My Wii Remote Lens is dirty, so I can't play anything on the Disc Channel. Not Good.

Posted by: Poketoad Jun 6 2009, 09:17 AM

GBA micro- front cam off

Nintendo DS the two hinges which keeps to parts together, one can off P:

Nintendo DS lite L button came off and creen kinda dodgy horrified.gif

Posted by: BrokenLatias Jun 6 2009, 10:38 AM

Old DS: I smashed the bottom screen out of anger and one of the little latches on it is busted because it fell. :P

Old DSLite: I spilled Lemonade all over it and now it doesn't work. :<

Current DSLite: Nothing, thank Arceus.

Posted by: Annakyoyama358 Jun 6 2009, 10:42 AM

My ds is cracked where it bends and the top screen gos crazy colors XD

Posted by: Zin Jun 6 2009, 11:00 AM

Subject on broken systems ^.~

My SP Will not allow games to be taken out of it, current Mario is stuck in there. If I take it out I might not be able to make it work again.

Other than that all of my Nintendo systems work great. No cracks or anything in their screens or casings. Then again, I keep people out of my room so there's no chance of them breaking my stuff.

Posted by: Xineo Jun 6 2009, 02:27 PM

My DS Lite's R shoulder button won't work. I think I broke it whilst playing Bubble Bobble Doubleshot

Other than that my other systems seem to be in good order.

Posted by: terminoob Jun 6 2009, 02:29 PM

My DS is banged up and has tons of scratches on it... And a scratch at the top of the touch screen... I really need a DSi...

Posted by: Trynyti Jun 6 2009, 03:35 PM

It's funny - after over 20 years, my NES still works. It's been kicked, punched, smashed, stepped on, etc.
My DS is pretty much dead after 2 years of love. The hinges came apart, and I'm still trying to figure out if I should fix it, or just buy a new one. (No, I'm not getting a DSi bucktooth.gif)

Posted by: Raitozaki Jun 6 2009, 05:31 PM

A while back, when I was eight or nine, I got wicked mad at my Gameboy Color (I use my Nintendo DS now). I was playing a game other than Pokemon (something to do with 102 Dalmatians or something...) and got angry with it. So I put it on the ground, slammed my heel into it, and "ink" started bleeding all over the screen.

That's about as broken as any of my gameboys have ever gotten other than a few scratches here or there...

Posted by: Love from Siberia Jun 6 2009, 05:34 PM

My Nintendo systems get severely beat up, almost on a daily basis, and they never stop working.

Currently one of my DS has a chunk missing, yet it still plays <3

Posted by: Kareki Jun 6 2009, 05:39 PM

Lightly scratched on top is all. ^^ Still relatively new.

Posted by: Kurrudii Jun 6 2009, 05:44 PM

My gameboy color has gone through a few washes- the a&b buttons are gone. Screen discolored. - still works.

my gameboy sp back light doesn't work, the arrow pad is also missing, plus I crashed with it on my rollerblades so the whol back is torn up and chunks are gone- Still works.

my ds, is still in good condition. except for the huge crack on the top part- it makes funny sparking noises wile it charges.

Posted by: Clouded Starlit Skies Jun 6 2009, 06:03 PM

My pocket gameboy (the one before colour gameboys) no longer works, my colour gameboy and gameboy advance both work, but the battery cover no longer fits, so I cover the batteryplace in tape to stop the batteries falling out. My original DS is fine, and the only scratches on it look nasty but are on the outside and don't matter. My DS Lite is pretty new and I've actually been looking after it, so it's still fine (I got it cheap because it was after the DSi came out).

Posted by: dyoxide Jun 6 2009, 06:16 PM

My DS screen is all out of wack from being dropped.

Posted by: auron779 Jun 6 2009, 09:32 PM

My green Gameboy Colour, I still have it and only has a few scratches on the screen, works perfectly.

My purple Gameboy Advance, it was pre-owned when I got it, has a few scratches on the screen and the battery lid thing is missing but I know its somewhere, otherwise its perfect.

My silver tribal edition SP, has a few scratches on the black markings, but works perfectly and is still used sometimes today when trying to beat my time on the first act of Sonic Advance 3 (F'ing love that game, I think I've got the fastest Sonic and Tails record on that level after playing it so many times and making my own route, later discovering online its the same route for WR's).

My Nintendo DS, it has alot of scratches on top from taking it in school, it had one dead pixel from day 1, but works perfectly otherwise.

And finally my PSP, the screen has a line of dead pixels shortly after my dad took it apart to fix the lid on the back as I dropped it once, the wrist strap stopped it, but instead swung around my arm and smashed into the table, rather than landing in my lap, the one time I decided to wear it... Not to mention all the crap under the screen... But it works, my mate said he could have a spare screen from his broken one.

So yeah, that's the current condition of my handhelds.

Posted by: Galahawk Jun 6 2009, 09:37 PM

My DS (the very original, not the lite) is covered in dings and scratches, and is missing one hinge so that the top screen wobbles.
But I haven't played it since I lost my Pearl version, so... yeah. It's been that way for a while.

Posted by: Solx Jun 6 2009, 09:51 PM

My only gaming system is the white GBA I inherited from my brother. It's pretty intact, works just fine, but the screen looks like someone rubbed iron wool on it.

Posted by: Zero K Jun 6 2009, 10:13 PM

my GBA is fine but me but when i turn on my psp the screen turns green and it starts ticking

Posted by: Dark Mew Jun 6 2009, 10:16 PM

my DS had fallen and didn't charge anymore, we had to send it twice to Nintendo so they can fix it

my dad has it (i'm in Canada and he's in New York) and he says it's fixed so when he comes i can finally get it and beat Gardenia lol

Posted by: Princess DS Jun 7 2009, 10:41 AM

All my hand consoles are perfect (apart from a couple of scratches on the older ones) but my original DS. I've dropped it a couple of times and the hinge snapped. It still works, though. The top screen just wiggles around a bit.

Posted by: musical Jun 7 2009, 11:35 AM

my gba's down button doesn't work, so i can't use it to play yellow anymore. i did have that thing since 2nd grade, though. that was...5 years ago.

my DSlite is dead (sorta. it still works) the top screen had a crack in one hinge, and it eventually the hinge snapped off. now, the screen in like falling off and the top screen doesn't show a picture. i can only play GBA games on it. my brother has a working DSlite, so i play diamond on that.

Posted by: Ulquiorra Cifer Jun 7 2009, 11:38 AM

My old pink Game Boy Advance is still surviving. The buttons hardly work anymore, especially the D-Pad. The game pack slot is cracked at the sides and the thingamajig that clips the battery cover onto the system broke off years ago. But that ain't anything to cry about, since I've ditched my GBA for Ds.

On my original sliver Ds (the brick), cracks have appeared at the bottom of the lid, under the screen. It's probably due to me repeating dropping it...

Posted by: TheBlob17 Jun 7 2009, 02:06 PM

My DS has a scratch all the way across the screen, but it's really thin so I can still see the screen fine. There's also this black blotch in the corner that I can't wipe off so I suspect something's wrong with the screen. And sometimes when I touch the touch screen the whole top screen gets this reddish tinge. It's weird...

Posted by: Hikaru Okami Jun 7 2009, 03:14 PM

Ugh...My DS' Touch Screen is dying. Most of the time, no matter where I tap, it registers to the far left of the screen. It's a real pain especially when playing Trauma Center or underground in my copy of Diamond.

Posted by: desbrina Jun 7 2009, 03:58 PM

My DS is all right since its only a couple of weeks old. My PSP is ok, not even a year old yet. i try to keep it in a good condition sinces its the limited edition ff7 crisis core one
My GBC is alright considering its age, my GBA has a scratched screen which wasn't down to me, brought it preowned and it was like that

Posted by: ThunderLinoone Jun 8 2009, 01:34 PM

I have one of those old DS', its in remarkably good condition. The touch screen is just scratched up a bit.

Posted by: Metis Jun 8 2009, 01:39 PM

There's a crack on the hinge, and the top screen won't lock in place anymore....makes meh sad.

Posted by: Blak99Psy Jun 8 2009, 01:54 PM

My GBA SP has scratches on the back and the company stickers are peeled off from wear and tear. The battery can't stay alive for very long anymore. I have to charge at the end of each play session, which normally lasts for a few hours at a time. Never anything more than two hours. All of this after i got it brand new two years ago. IMO, it should have lasted longer than that. My original Game Boy and my Game Boy Color lasted for 5-7 years and still went strong even after the GBA came out. No scratches at all.

I bought a used old DS to replace my dying GBA. It's pretty awesome and functions optimally. The only thing wrong is that there are a few small scratches at the very base of the top screen. They don't interfere with the view at all. there are a few obvious scrapes and scratches on the outside from general wear, but I'm glad that there isn't anything critical.

Posted by: jonathanOBrien Jun 8 2009, 02:11 PM

MY Ds is in half.
Same with my DS Lite. :ppp

Posted by: Rhyme Jun 8 2009, 03:54 PM

my silver gba sp is fine, my silver DS has the "ring" (near the R shoulder button) of its hinge broken, and my silver DS lite is fine

Posted by: Pingu Jun 8 2009, 04:11 PM

I've still got a really old Gameboy Pocket, which still works, except that there's no power light, so you don't know when it's dying.

My DS is pretty much new, I've had it for a few months, and it's wonderful. Got it mainly because it was a $150 Kanji dictionary (studying abroad in Japan in September), but of course, it plays games as well grin.gif

Posted by: Reika Ikorashi Jun 8 2009, 04:27 PM

My DS is nearly brand new. Just bought it back in January when I accidently dropped my other one in the toilet. x__x; My SP is in good shape, but it has been acting a little wierd lately. The power light will often switch back and forth from red to green. Sometimes, when it goes back to green, it stays that way for a while, so I'm usually confused as to when it needs to be charged. XD

Posted by: SalamenceGirl Jun 9 2009, 08:19 AM

My GBA and my Ds are working perfectly! They only have some few small scratches but nothing to serious...

Posted by: Wishful Jirachi Jun 9 2009, 08:26 AM

All of my systems are good, but my brother dropped my ds so the L button is slightly shaven off.

Posted by: UmbreonDana Jun 9 2009, 10:03 AM

GBC and GBA: Nonfuctioning, something got caught in the link exit (where you connect the chord to link the games), and it stopped working.
GBASP and Gamecube: Fully Functioning.
DS: A hinge is broken (although fixable), but it is fully functioning.
PlayStation: Probably still laying in that pawn shop... I still don't know why my mom sold it. >_>

Posted by: Enteicuno Jun 9 2009, 11:02 AM

GBA SP: Fully functioning. Brother's occasionally freezes if you put it down too hard.
Xbox: Disc tray broken, you have to use a knife to open it.
Xbox360: Fully functioning. Brother's has broken disc tray.
DS: It's the first version, the original one, and still loyally works from the day I got it, 25th December 2006. One of the hinges is half-missing from constant dropping. I dropped it again last week and it doesn't snap off when you open it now.

Posted by: xXxIcexXx Jun 9 2009, 11:41 AM

Sold GBP and original GB at a yard sale.
N64, mom knocked a bucket of saopt water over and now it's dead, GBA works fine but battery holder cover is taped on and the system has a small crack at the top and the buttons are getting really unresponsive and is MIA.
Gamecube is perfect, just a loose cord that needs wiggling, and it took forever to save up for my wii but I finally got it and there are no problems.

Posted by: 0Sandshrewer Jun 9 2009, 12:45 PM

My DS Lite has a moody L button, and a tiny crack on the hinge, and a scratch on the touch screen.

Posted by: Gilda Jun 9 2009, 05:41 PM

All my gaming systems are in perfect condition. 8D

My SNES is rather sensitive though. It freezes if you poke it.

Posted by: MikiMin Jun 10 2009, 02:24 PM

I just had to get a new one. My old one was at the point that it wouldn't even load anything, and it would freeze at any little movement.

Posted by: Meestervonk Jun 10 2009, 03:59 PM

Every of my consoles still works perfectly, except one DS of which the top screen is internally broken.

Posted by: Dino Cavallone Jun 10 2009, 06:18 PM

Because of my siblings, my gameboy colour is beyond functional. sad.gif I'm so upset sob.

Posted by: Case Jun 10 2009, 06:28 PM

I still have my old original Game Boy and it works fine. /sometimes still plays Yoshi's Cookie...

Posted by: rosedragoon Jun 12 2009, 07:32 AM

Well, my gameboy advance still works... I use it to play silver version... and needs duct tape on the back to hold the back onto the batteries so it doesn't randomly shut off. XD

My DS only has a few scratches on the screen, and aside from that, perfect condition. =)

Posted by: Rainsong Jun 12 2009, 01:09 PM

I bought a Gameboy advance at Gamestop ages ago - oh boy. The screen looks like someone rubbed it with a kitchen scrub pad, and there's no battery cover. I need to order new ones from Nintendo sometime.

My DS just has a few scratches really- which I wince at, but it gives it personality. It's teal <3

I'm currently in possession of someone else's DS, teal, original style like mine... and oi. I could cry over it. It's got a lot of scratches on it, one corner looks like it was dropped on rocky concrete. It's covered in rubs and little tiny dimple-divits inside... argh...

Ironically my original Gameboy is in great shape, as was the color Gameboy I traded in for the GBA -_-.gif

Posted by: Loup Garou Jun 13 2009, 12:22 AM

I broke a hinge on my DS and now the top screen is all floppy. Perfectly playable, but kind of annoying to hold the screen up or keep the back facing the floor.

Posted by: Enigmatic Relic Jun 13 2009, 12:52 AM

I Accidently dropped My SP and the sound is quite low and it still works in volume but My Ds is perfectly fine

Posted by: Bosco Jun 13 2009, 05:06 AM

let's see.. I'm going through them all. B)

N64 I don't even remember what I did with that. o_o
GBC: Probaby doesn't work anymore. Last time I played it, it had no sound.
GBA: I don't remember what, but something was wrong with it.
GBA SP: Sold it in fairly good condition.
Gamecube: Last time I saw it, it was in a million pieces in my Dad's car.. XD
Xbox: This one has a history. Stopped reading discs at one point, and instead of brining it in for repair, my Dad decided to saw it open. o_o. It was a scary experience, but he did fix it. XD Then I was playing it during a thunder storm, and lighting struck and my Xbox like asploded. Never worked again.

DS: Screen is detached on one side, and on the other side I think the speaker isn't working. Other than that, it's just dirty.

Fully functional Xbox 360 and Wii. All though the Wii won't play Brawl for some reason. dry.gif

Posted by: tomi Jun 13 2009, 05:12 AM

I threw my DS out from the tenth floor. proudbow.gif
shakefist.gif laughing.gif

Posted by: Bosco Jun 13 2009, 05:26 AM

That reminds me of my friend in the first grade.. who threw his gameboy across his yard. noes.gif It survived though. It sounds like your DS didn't survive. x_x.gif

Posted by: nscian Jun 13 2009, 11:33 AM

my regular ds had its screen falling off and the colors constantly changing

Posted by: Otawan Jun 13 2009, 01:56 PM

My BW Gameboy no longer has any images, it's kind of like a black-green abyss. Oh, and the sound is a dying cat, high pitched and whaily.

Posted by: Caterpie CDB Jun 13 2009, 02:15 PM

Well; my DS Lite's L button broke. The little part that shows the DS's battery broke off. I had to Krazy Glue it back together. It works fine now, it's just that the screen hangs down. The "lock" thing is broken.

Posted by: BrainpanSonata Jun 13 2009, 03:10 PM

The lower screen on my DS Lite is so scratched from "overenthusiastic playing" of games such as Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness and Gardening Mama that you can actually see a permanent oval worn into the center of the screen. It makes it somewhat difficult to write katakana, hiragana, and kanji during lessons of My Japanese Coach.

Though I do have a really horrid broken system story.

A long time ago, my brother and I went dutch on a Gamecube. We kept it in his room in the basement since he had a TV in there because the cable hookup lead down into his room. One day he was in a REALLY foul mood. He unplugged the Gamecube, picked it up, and hurled it at the wall. Of course, being that we're down in the basement, it's a foundation wall, which happens to be set concrete. It pretty much shattered upon impact.

A month or two later, the Platinum edition Gamecube comes out and he suggests we pool our money together and buy it. I suggest in return that we tap into our savings accounts, which were basically our emergency funds, and add some of that money into the pool in order to spring for the additional insurance.

Long story short, we bought both the Platinum edition Gamecube and the additional insurance, and he got to take it with him with my blessing when he moved into his own apartment last year.

Posted by: MasterCharizard Jun 13 2009, 03:56 PM

My DS has a cack and The L&R bottons won't work anymore...
My Sp's screen is cracked...
GBA's battery cover is missing...
So is my Gameboy's...
The Cube is fine though.... crying.gif

Posted by: KendoSword Jun 13 2009, 05:57 PM

My DS' screen hinge thingy has broken off. It's unnecessary, though.
There's a weird green dot on the top screen. Is that a bad sign? Probably. noes.gif

Posted by: Hitsugaya Toushirou Jun 13 2009, 06:01 PM

Not good... My gameboy SP had ketchup on it (some guy spilled it on my SP) I put it in the sink and then the start button won't even work anymore. XDDD (4 years old)

Posted by: Slix Jun 15 2009, 01:27 PM

My first (original) DS has the right hinge broken off, but still works. My original (again, lol) GameBoy still works also, but the screen cover thing is off. The glue must have gotten old.

Posted by: Ninetailed Mistress Jun 15 2009, 01:42 PM

my lil bro decided to take a freakin golf ball to my GBA screen, theres a big black blotch on it now, but it still works!!!
my gameboy micro has a tooth mark on it my bein bitten, lol
my dad's DS top sreen is f@*#!& up cuz my lil bro got mad at the game he was playin and crack the screen in half no.gif it still works.....sorta
if that was my DS he done that to, i would hav to hurt him

Posted by: Shadow Pidgey Jun 15 2009, 05:21 PM

My Game Boy Color, my Game Boy SP, my Nintendo DS, and my Nintendo DSi are all in perfect condition. xD

My Game Boy Advance's battery cover wont stay on anymore. =/

Posted by: Rhapsody Jun 15 2009, 05:54 PM

My SP is a bit scratched. Some of the coating has worn off, there's stuff in the clamp holes (I dunno how to describe them, but they're the openings right next to the L and R buttons on the back) and the charger won't stay in half the time. As for function, it still works perfectly.

My regular DS has a few scratches and a visually-messed-up touch screen. I blame Ranger for that. It still works fine, though.

Maybe it's just because I've ingrained the "if it breaks, you're buying a new one" thought into my head.

Posted by: Tsunami Jun 15 2009, 07:51 PM

My Ds and gameboy sp have many scratches from my brother, but other than that they are perfect. I once had a touch screen problem, but that was quickly fixed.

Posted by: Aizalynn Marie Jun 16 2009, 02:28 PM

All of my stuff has managed (which I find crazy, seeing as I clumsily drop stuff all the time) to stay in perfect shape over the years. The only things that could be considered "wrong" is that my gameboy colors and game boy advance is missing the battery cover.

Posted by: iRyu Jun 16 2009, 03:51 PM

Ha Ha Funny Story....
Well I Used To Bring My DS (Red Mario Version) To School So I Could Play It Later I Was In 5th Grade?
Anyways, I Came To The High School And Dropped My BookBag Pretty Hard And Then I Checked The DS Immediately Then Screen Was Godly Cracked.
So Then I Had To Wait Before I Could Get A New One
Luckily DS Lites Came Out So Now I Have A Black DS Lite

My Gameboy, in mint condition. My DS, it's split into 2. The top screen and touch screen are separated because the axel holders no longer do anything.

Posted by: Indig0 Jun 16 2009, 07:10 PM

My DS is in perfect condition. I take good care of it.

My GBA was missing the battery cover, and had a different-colored cover that was missing one of the little parts that holds it on. It fell off sometimes.

Posted by: rockfrog Jun 17 2009, 02:33 PM

My DS Lite had it's Microphone broken. I sent it off to Nintendo to get it fixed and they sent it back saying nothing was wrong. Confused, I checked it out, and on every one of my games the Mic worked perfectly! I even got a free Stylus!

As for my Gameboy, I gave that to my sister. God knows what condition that's in!

Posted by: Doozydoe Jun 17 2009, 02:57 PM

My current DS is in good condition for the most part. A few scratches on the touch screen don't hurt anybody.

My brothers DS had a big ol' crack on the top screen and a had his touch screen scratched up to the point to where it was difficult to use.

Posted by: Sinned Banana Jun 17 2009, 06:43 PM

I'm on my second DS...the first one had the top screen competely snap off.

Posted by: Pwners246 Jun 17 2009, 08:06 PM

Got a gameboy grey and gameboy colored still in working competition. But the gameboy colored's battery cover wont stay on anymore.

Posted by: VirulentPixie Jun 19 2009, 06:25 PM

Ah... well...
My GameBoy and my GBA are kinda melted and burned and such, along with all the games. = x =;
My house burned down a year or two ago, so yeah. D;
But my [sister's] DS is pretty alright.
I miss FireRed...

Posted by: Lycanthrope Jun 19 2009, 11:40 PM

My brother's DS Lite broke in half

Posted by: knil1 Jun 19 2009, 11:45 PM

My DS Lite is fine, but the microphone is messed up somehow....

My DS is in good condition *

My SP is in good condition *

My GBColor is fine, but it's missing the battery cover. unsure.gif **

My N64 Is fine *

My Wii is fine

And the gamecube is doing A-ok *

* I don't use it often.
** I share it with my brother, but I use it.

Posted by: Creepa Jun 19 2009, 11:48 PM

My black Nintendo SP has a large gash going through its screen due to an accident involving me, my friend, and his swords. We were messing around with his swords and my SP was left open on his bed, i went to swing the sword in frustration while playing Dungeons and Dragons and i cut the screen open. It was pretty bad.

Posted by: ruts cbk Jun 20 2009, 05:34 AM

My advance has a smashed screen. Frustration over Yugioh.

Posted by: Arceus thrasher Jun 20 2009, 06:36 AM

My DS is missing a little piece of plastic on the right hand side that connects the screens. It broke off due to wearing out after all that opening and closing.

My SP only has scratches on the outside of it.

My GBA only has a little dent on the left hand side.

Posted by: Jadiebloop Jun 20 2009, 06:55 AM

GBA SP = A few scratches to the outer case.

DS Phat = Some scratches to the screen and outer casing. Surprisingly NOT badly damaged...

DS Lite = Good condition (Bottom screen broke by showeing only whiteness but still worked a while back, but it`s been fixed.)

Wii = Good condition.

Xbox 360 = Good condition.

Posted by: Palm Island Jun 20 2009, 12:52 PM

My DS and gameboy are fine thought the hinge on my ds is a little too touchy, my computer is another matter, it has gone through a lot, (attack of 20 viruses, water balloonj dropped on it, and a major system glitch just yesterday, I couldn't scroll down or type) Somehow it still works happy.gif

Posted by: PuppyToast Jun 20 2009, 02:03 PM

My original DS's touch screen discontinued working. and the top screen was beginning to fall off.
My DS light is fine and dandy though cat.gif My dad gave me his.

Partially unrelated gamesystem, My N64 has a nickle in it xD;
and my old PS1 was held together by a cap eraser.

Posted by: pokemonrulez435 Jun 20 2009, 05:41 PM

My DS lite was once attacked by the dog, ans so it has a few large craters on the lid, but it somehow works even better than my sister's newer one. Go figure!

Posted by: Alphonse Jun 20 2009, 06:23 PM

My old Pokemon GameBoy has that back little protector for the batteries where it won't stay on. xD
I've had to tape it so I didn't lose it. Not to mention it has a few scratches on the screen.
The um...select button (or the start? I'm not sure and I don't have it in front of me) doesn't really work anymore though. You have to jam your finger into it to make it work.
But other than that, it's actually in pretty good shape for being used for about seven, eight years. \o/

My GameBoy Advance is pretty good, too. The back protector is...completely gone. I have no idea where it disappeared to. @_@ It has a few scatches on the screen, but it's completely playable still~

DS Lite is perfectly fine. I haven't managed to break it or scratch it up~ -knocks on wood- >_>

Posted by: Imposibibble Jun 20 2009, 06:45 PM

My regular GBA is working great. The battery case cover is a little loose now, but that can easily be fixed with some tape.

Aside from a much weaker battery (doesn't even last more than a day now) and some of the paint scruffed off of the corners, my GBA SP is fine.

My pink DS is in great working condition.

Posted by: Lightningstreak Jun 21 2009, 08:50 PM

I only have a DS Lite, and it's working pretty well (it should; we got it for Christmas!). It's just super-dirty because me and sis have coughed all over it and have our fingerprints on it and all that. D=

Posted by: Believer White Jun 22 2009, 11:26 AM

My GBASP is perfectly fine.
My GB Color caught a virus and it's gone.
My DS has a scratched screen and the L and R buttons don't work anymore.
Weird how I got my SP first and later my DS and the SP is in better shape than my DS.

Posted by: Vanilla Villa Jun 22 2009, 12:30 PM

My old DS is pretty broken by now. One of the hinges has come off and everything, luckily I have a new one, a DS Lite. My old SP works fine too.

I found my old old old Gameboy Colour before as well, and it still works and everything o.0

Posted by: ZeroKaiser Jun 22 2009, 04:32 PM

One DS has a cracked hinge, while the other has a broken one. My GBA SP...doesn't charge anymore. Q.Q

Posted by: Snackfast Jun 22 2009, 04:39 PM

My old DS(not light) Hing thing broke on the far right. it still works and all, but its still getting looser.

Posted by: Laluzi Jun 23 2009, 09:29 AM

My DS Lite has a broken screen, half of it is threaded over with dead pixels. I jumped on my bed once, and it was there... smashed it, tripped, and flew right into the wall. irritated.gif

Posted by: Rin101 Jun 23 2009, 09:36 AM

my game boy sp's battery cover has to be taped to the back cuz i lost the little screw

and i've dropped my ds lite soo many times..its all scratched up and the corner is cracked, and one chipped.

Posted by: BriannaterX Jun 23 2009, 10:00 AM

My first DS Lite keeps turning off on its own and then I got a brand new DS Lite which is now protected with some leathered armor I got along with my DS.

And for my GBA, I somehow lost it in my own home.

Posted by: kubes Jun 23 2009, 10:28 AM

My ds has a hinge missing but it still works thanks to the miracle fixer duct tape

I have the same thing...exept now that DS won't work,so my parents got me another one.First time I've ever had two of one game system.

Dood, same with me, and now it like, won't stay open. It just flops down. My DS also has some scratches on the touch screen from using a ballpoint pen when i lost my stylus. irritated.gif It's basically crap. I think the L key is broken too. >_>

Posted by: KatTheFreak Jun 24 2009, 04:07 PM

1) I sold my GBA. xD
2) I got my Ds about 2 christmas's ago. grin.gif Still looks new.

on my ds, the L button sticks and doesnt work good irritated.gif its annoying

Posted by: Black Ice Jun 24 2009, 05:13 PM

On one of my DSes the hinge came off and the top screen doesn't work. On another the bottom screen broke because I was playing Fire Emblem on one of those bad days. On my SP, same thing with the last DS. Fire Emblem made me mad.

Posted by: Serenity1863 Jun 24 2009, 05:27 PM

My old Gameboy, the inside screen had ink covering it. I don't know how it happened, but it was sad.

Posted by: ninjacookie Jun 24 2009, 05:52 PM

All of mine are fine except for one really scratched up gameboy color. I had a friend though a few years back who owned a gameboy advanced WITH THE SCREEN CRACKED IN TWO. I don't even know how he did it but the thing still worked and he managed to make out the images enough to play it.

Posted by: Gati Jun 24 2009, 06:38 PM

I take care of all my consoles konata.gif

But, I accidentally dropped my DS Lite no.gif good thing the crack it received it's barely noticeable.

Posted by: Latias Eevee Jun 24 2009, 08:05 PM

My DS...I take care of it, but twice while playing there were suddenly messages about there being no game card...and earlier today after I opened my DS from sleep, the graphics on top screen were shaking rapidly and the was a white line across the bottom of it...

Posted by: kaighn Jun 24 2009, 10:12 PM

My DSlite's touch screen has gone wonky and doesn't register unless I press really hard.

Posted by: mizzim Jun 25 2009, 12:20 PM

I just can't find the power cord for my DSL, so it's out of battery. permenantly.

Posted by: Dirtyjerry Jun 26 2009, 03:51 AM

my ds hinge is broke, so i had to buy a case so its not all floppy. it was that or send it in to nintendo for a pricy fee -_-2.gif

Posted by: Saxy Jun 26 2009, 02:33 PM

My gameboy color, advanced adf the DS all work great ^^

I've actually got my gameboy color here at work with me and playing pokemon blue =D it's my favorite hehe.

Posted by: Tosca Jun 26 2009, 03:50 PM

Well... my Gameboy (the original gray kind) died of battery poisoning TT___TT, my GBA was stupidly given away to my cousins, I have no idea what they did to it, my DS's "L" key doesn't work unless I press it REALLY hard, my DSlite is fine besides a few scratches on it's screen, and my DSi is perfectly perfect <3

I luff them all though, no matter what :'D

Posted by: LucarioandDiagla Jun 26 2009, 03:52 PM

my DS Lite's top screen was hanging, if i would have dropped it just a little bit the whole thing would have come off

Posted by: CamHalen Jun 26 2009, 04:12 PM

My "L" button is kinda broken, it decides when to work or not.

Posted by: inpurities Jun 26 2009, 11:05 PM

A well, my Gameboy and Advance are in perfect stage, but my DS is broken in pieces, don't blame me, blame my little sister xD So now we have a pink DS lite.

Posted by: johnrichard1991 Jun 27 2009, 02:30 AM

My DSLite works fine, but the R button on my GBASP stopped working.
The R button works sometimes, but you have to press it a certain way.

Posted by: aznhoboz Jun 27 2009, 02:44 PM

i dropped my DS on the hard floor about a good 5-17 times i think...
it wouldnt turn on unless you hit the bottom really hard
it eventually stopped working

Posted by: Joey the Cheese King Jun 27 2009, 02:58 PM

My GBA SP is pretty scratched up on the top,a little scratched on the screen, and a few dead pixels. But I've owned it for 7 or less years, works perfectly, and I luff it.

My DS however... I don't really know about the outer part, since I have a Kingdom Hearts skin on it,but I broke the touch screen out of frustration while playing Chibi Robo:Park Patrol. Dang jukebox wouldn't make my flowers grow! So I'll replace it with a DSi,but keep it for the memories/Pal Park on D/Pl. But I've had to use my sister's DS Lite...

Posted by: Imme9 Jun 28 2009, 12:51 PM

My gameboy advance sometimes turns off whenever I just set it on the table. oh.gif It's fully charged, but sometimes it just turns off when I am on the good parts.... -_-2.gif
But luckily my DS is fine. grin.gif

Posted by: Gabbie Jun 28 2009, 05:39 PM

I currently don't have a DS of my own due to the fact that my last one basically snapped in half. ;~;
And my old Game Boy Color just doesn't work at all anymore.

I have to use my brother's DsLite and it is in great condition but for some reason whenever I give it back to him to use, it always ends up dirty and disgusting....

I let my aunt borrow my DS and I got it back all cracked, so eventually the top half of it is going to break off. *sigh*
I don't even have my Gameboy, my Gameboy, Advance, or my original SP anymore. TwT

Posted by: Linda 3046 Jun 29 2009, 03:25 PM

I have two Ds. One that I recently bought, pre-owned but works perfectly fine and now damage except for some scratches..I decided to buy a pre-owned because when I bought my new one two years ago it cost 1200 SEK but now the new one cost 1400-1800 SEK, wtf is that? >_>

The old one is in a horrible shape, it has cracks in both hinges (and one is broken so the screen is loose) and the L-button isn't working.. It also has a unofficial shell (since I changed shell to repair the hinges FIRST time they broke) and has very poor quality so it has cracks everywere xD

When the L-buttom broke I was like "screw this I buy a new Ds", cause you need the L-button to sr in pokémon, haha.

Posted by: xXEmoWolfyXx Jun 29 2009, 03:35 PM

my ds is perfectly fine even though i've dropped it numerous times i'm actually surprised. i also have my sister's old one that has its top screen hanging on only one of the hinges but it still works normally. even if it does look bad lol.

Posted by: Flamewire Jun 29 2009, 07:13 PM

My DS Lite's R Trigger button is broken. Thankfully, it has no use at all in the games. ^^

Posted by: Pyro Pendragon Jun 30 2009, 01:57 AM

DS lite = a huge crack on the hinge, very dirty in the shell on the edges
DSi = It's new, so it isn't broken and stuff
PS2 = I think it's works, but it didn't respond to when I put in a game disc
Wii = Wonderful
Nintendo 64 = Wonderful, and that's weird, considering it's pretty old
Dreamcast = Wonderful, weird also considering it's also very old

Posted by: Warden Notes Jun 30 2009, 02:15 AM

My DS's top screen has a yellow tinge, so I can't really see colours on it that well. It also has quite a few scratches on the bottom screen, so I can never touch the middle of the screen without the response jumping to the right.

Posted by: DojoManiac Jul 1 2009, 05:22 PM

DS- one of the hinges is broken, the top screen is dead...Yeah.

Posted by: Harris73 Jul 1 2009, 08:53 PM

My DS is perfect. I've always kept a constant effort of maintaining it from the elements and this horrid force of gravity. However, friends' younger brothers don't fall under the category of "the elements" or "gravity" so my touch screen got slightly mangled. But it's still fine, I have a screen protector. wink.gif
My Wii is also in good condition. I mean, how does one wreck their system when it's sitting in the corner away from all tables, liquids and friends' younger brothers? My Wii however, is slightly tampered. It has the Homebrew channel 1.0.3 and has been slightly altered when I installed it (because of Wii channel 4.0). konata.gif

Posted by: Lionblaze Aug 3 2009, 09:10 PM

My Ds Lite has a ruined top screen because I used to
bite it when I got mad at the game (don't ask...) and
ended up breaking it, so I just use my brother's Ds lite.
The L button also stopped working for some reason
(but it doesn't really matter 'cause it's broken).
As for my GBA SP, it has a bunch of bite marks at
the top.

Posted by: Snowchan Aug 3 2009, 09:12 PM

My GBA has few light scratches but nothing that really interferes with me seeing things. The games aren't always kept as good I should keep them, but they work just fine!

When I get a job and some money, I'm gonna get a DS. I SHALL keep it in such good condition. I'll get a case and everything for it and the games (like I did with my GBC, though somehow I managed to lose the case for that... I was young....) Though I'm gonna make sure I keep this all good. I'm an adult now, so I can do this! ^.^;;

Posted by: GenGen Aug 6 2009, 10:59 PM

GBC: Slightly scratched screen
GBA: Slightly scratched screen and corner
Onyx DSLite: Top is scratched from travel, R button stopped working from Mario Kart DS
Crimson DSLite: A piece of the paint is chipped off
Pokemon DSLite: Perfect condition.

Posted by: laskuraska Aug 6 2009, 11:00 PM

My videogame systems are pretty not-broken.

Posted by: orochi mello Aug 6 2009, 11:03 PM

(these are all seprate DS's)
1) the touchscreen broke(first day i got it)
2)no sound(first day i got it)
3)the colour warped out(first day i got it)
5) the hing broke
6) it snapped IN HALF!
7)the top screen no longer works

AND....<b> ALOT</b> of scratches

im only left with a dsi XD witch isnt broken...yet...

Posted by: Janners Aug 6 2009, 11:50 PM

I have a Gameboy still, but you can barely see the screen, I think you can only see 3/4s of the screen now.
I still love it though xB

Posted by: Cardcaptor Aug 7 2009, 09:50 AM

I had 2 DS Lites. The first one broke and the second one I lost. I have the DSi right now and it is currently working fine.

Posted by: Amiii Aug 7 2009, 01:19 PM

My DS Lite has a crack in the hinge but that's it. But my original gameboy has cat vomit stuck under the buttons so it smells and doesn't work anymore. I also remember my GBA SP, it fell in the toilet while I was brushing my teeth a few years ago and it kinda sparked, made a craking noise and the screen went black.

Posted by: Capn Knuckles Aug 7 2009, 01:21 PM

DS: It has a cracked hinge, and the screen hardly shows any image.
GBA: Works well, but the buttons went hard due to years of dust collecting
NES: Works well enough.
SNES: Above.
N64: The console is in good condition, but the controller has that generic broken joystick every N64 owner has.
GC: Great condition.
Wii: Some minor scratches on the shell, but other than that it's perfect.

Posted by: MystykFyre Aug 7 2009, 01:47 PM

My black DS's top half is hanging on by one wire. My old one, at least. My new silver one, aside from a few smudge marks and fingerprints, is in great condition.

My old black DS is what I call my "GBA with a touch screen", because only the bottom screen works, and there's not many DS games you can play with only the bottom screen. So I set my DS to play GBA games on the bottom screen, and now it is my GBA with a touchscreen ^__^

Posted by: kittyk2000 Aug 7 2009, 01:58 PM

my gameboy has a huge crack in teh screen going from the top to bottom got that when it fell from my headboard and a small chunk of plastic is missing from the side from it falling out of my pocket when i was climbing in the rock quarry which i'm surprized didn't break the screen..... aside from that my 4 year old ds battery dies to quickly

Posted by: Ulqhuorrhia Aug 7 2009, 02:11 PM

Posted by: FateGambler Aug 7 2009, 04:09 PM

Well my GameBoy Advance SP is completely destoryed due to a terrible car incident, and my DS no longer turns on or charges so yea im basically screwed

Posted by: Volcanic Queen Aug 7 2009, 07:19 PM

Old B&W GameBoy: No longer works, period. sad.gif Ironic, because my dad had to fix it to get it to work in the first place (I bought it used at a garage sale.)
GameBoy Color: Dandelion Yellow still works, but it has some screen scratches (I was rather peeved off at my Ages and Silver games for a while. Don't ask.), Blue-Green works fine.
GameBoy Advance: The D-pad is acting up on me. I was getting sore thumbs just trying to move around in Minish Cap.
GameBoy Advance SP: Still works fine. happy.gif
DS Lite: Again, works fine.

Nintendo 64: I think it still works, I haven't played it for a long time. I recently got a gold Ocarina of Time cartridge from my friend, so I may start playing it again.
Nintendo GameCube: Works like a charm. wink.gif
Nintendo Wii: Got this for Christmas last year. Excellent condition and works well.

My DS' are ok. The only thing is my old DS has a scratch on the top screen. But apart from that all of my DS' are fine!(I like to keep all my DS scratch free monocle.gif )

Posted by: billanator Aug 8 2009, 08:19 PM

I made an original GB into a clock (indestructible my a$%), I sold a DSl with a cracked hinge on eBay and also sold a broken GBA-SP on eBay.

Posted by: Unkeko Aug 10 2009, 07:32 AM

My DS is living well and all, nothing but small scrathes.

And my Gameboy colour doesn't even have those P:

Posted by: Waterwraith Aug 10 2009, 09:04 AM

I've had my DS since it came out, and It's not too bad. The top screen is kinda loose, and in the 2 front corners, the plastic is shattered, some of it broke away on the front left corner. Plus, the touch screen has seen better days. I got Ranger and went a little crazy with the circles sweat.gif

Oh, and somehow, I got a scratch on the hinge that looks like a sweet companies' logo. I'll try and take a pic of it.

Posted by: DarknessAngel Aug 10 2009, 07:50 PM

The hinge on my DSL is broke.. That's all that's broken on it atm. Sold my other systems but my GBC was completely destroyed. I ripped the start/select buttons out of it because of boredom.

Posted by: Maya Sakurai Aug 11 2009, 02:01 AM

My game systems don't tend to get very broken. I'm not sure why, considering I toss them in my bag heedlessly whenever I take them someplace...

Posted by: Drkangel Aug 11 2009, 08:06 AM

The screen on my DS is loose, but other than that, all my handhelds are in excellent condition.

Posted by: Voleur Aug 11 2009, 12:35 PM

The batteries fall out of my gameboy, I have to hold them in by hand.
That's what years of playing does I guess.

Posted by: Seravel Aug 11 2009, 04:18 PM

GBC doesn't work period now.
GBA works...sometimes, victim of kid's smashings. But doesn't like the GC cord anymore.
DS #1 (mine) works fine-ish, but the top screen has a gigantic crack so if I say, play pokemon, I can't see enemy level/etc, gives my cousin & friends a hideous advantage over me.... -_-2.gif
DS #2 (husbands) also victim to kid's smashings, one of the hinges is broken--may play a game unreliably for a minute then freezes or shuts off.

Posted by: Azure Butterfly Aug 11 2009, 04:40 PM

SP - Almost perfect condition, but the sound is a bit messed up at times.
DS - Touch screen is scratched up from playing Ranger too much. It responds fairly well, but there's crumbs stuck in the crack between the screen and the rest of it, so using a keyboard will always result in the one next to the one I tapped being selected. I tried to clean it, but nothing worked. Oh, and Nintendo wants $80 before they'll fix it. >:(
DSlite - Perfect condition, other than a few scratches.

Also, my Wii is in great condition, but sometimes turns itself on for no reason. Drives my mom up the wall. cat.gif

Posted by: ForeverSearching Aug 12 2009, 02:51 PM

Hah, I have, like, one of the original DS's and the smaller hinge has completely broken off so my screen flops around all the time. -_-2.gif crazy.gif And the bottom screen is all scratched because it used to be my little brother's.. But, hey, it still works fine. xD
On my GBA I have to tape the batteries in because I somehow lost the battery cover...
My Gameboy color is in like perfect condition though x3.gif

My DS Lite has had the little no-skid grip things - you know, the little rectangles - torn out by my bird. Other than that, it's ok. My first DS, however, did not do so well. It spontaneously cracked all along the top screen so that the screen wouldn't work anymore. I could only play old gameboy games on it until I got a new one for Christmas that year.

Posted by: MissEpic Aug 12 2009, 05:57 PM

I'm actually very good with my gaming systems, and treat them well.

Admittedly, I can't find my Gameboy Advance SP (I think my sister stole it), but I know that it's in very good condition, with a few small scratches on top. Nothing too bad.

And I have the older model of the Nintendo DS, and it's still going strong! Nothing's broken, cracked or anything. I'm pretty damn pleased with myself!

=D

Posted by: Missing No Aug 12 2009, 06:32 PM

My DS lite's hinge part is broken on one side so its always flat. I cant raise it up like a laptop screen.

How it happened was because of my butter fingers, dropped it 5 times.

3 times on stairs, 2 times on the floor.

It works wonderfully though.

Posted by: Luft Aug 13 2009, 09:15 PM

My Ds is in pretty good condition, but it has a few deep scratches on it from me dropping it.

One of the hinges on my original blue DS (the hinges that hold the two screens together) cracked all the way and broke messed the touch screen up cuz now it opens funny. I saved up my money and bought a black DS lite, but after I bought it the touch screen on my other DS strated working again. crying.gif

Posted by: IronCrystal Aug 14 2009, 01:18 AM

My Advanced has food crumbs wedged into the sides of the buttons and they got all sticky, and no longer can be pressed. It only works when it has fresh batteries for maybe an hour or two, then the screen goes grey.

My DS Lite was lost when we moved.

Posted by: Gunslinger Cyborg Aug 14 2009, 09:09 AM

My DS's hinges are a little loose for some reason (they were wiggly when I first got it, if memory serves me right), but other than that, I keep it nice and neat. grin.gif

Other items include my Gamecube (fine condition, though sometimes the controllers need to be switched out because they do commands on their own 0o) and even though I haven't played it in centuries and am pretty sure I lost it, my Gameboy has a few scratches on the sides (I think I bit it for some reason), but other than that, playable.

NDS lite - top screen broken, hinge cracking, and the weirdest thing ever
you know how when you bend the screen past the point it's supposed to go it makes a click? the click for mine goes when it's only about an inch and a half open

NDS (old style) - flew across the room and now doesnt turn on at all

GBA SP - dropped in a toilet by my sister, doesnt work at all now

PS2 (slim version) - wasnt reading discs, then i tried to open it and it didnt have all ths scews out. also lost the ability to turn on at all after that

PS1 (portable version) - hinge broken

360 - full 'red ring of death', i think it's a drive falure (from the sound it makes when you try to turn it on)

X-box (original) - disc drive sometimes doesnt open

fully working systems (sad that i have to put this, right?) -
2 original GBAs, PS2 original, gamecube (with GBA addition), N64

wow, i didnt realize how few working systems i had until now

Posted by: Grotesque Nightmare Aug 14 2009, 09:49 AM

My Nintendo 64 still works surprisingly, same with my Sega Dreamcast and Sega Genesis XD My Gamboy color works but has no sound, my SP fried in my car XD, and my DS is working fine lol

Posted by: Mastermoo Aug 14 2009, 12:28 PM

I personally don't own a DS, but my little sisters screen is almost completely broken off. It's hinged, and the only way to hear sound is to turn it to a 90 degree angle down. The screen isn't broke, but the colored pixels are all off whack. The only colors it shows are green and pink.

Personally, I think it makes it a lot funner to play because you have to figure out how to do stuff on the game, but also on the actual DS too. happy.gif

GBA: has hundreds of scratches (its 5 years old 0.o)
DS: 1 hinge left. Tthe other hinge, well...if you close the DS its showing just the metal piece. Open: shows the WIRES and half of the metal piece.
DSi: Just too new to tell
PS2: (May not go witht the topic well...) VERY old. Partial broken corner
WII: Just too new....
EDIT:
Other Handheld systems:
Tamagotchi: all uh...8? of them are dead and my first is broken. A copy of one is split completly. (Unuseable)
Muchiz: DEAD
Neopets thing: Gone and broke

Posted by: Lollyxxx Aug 14 2009, 08:51 PM

Tamagotchi: One broken Version 3 and a lost button o_O
DS Lite: The hinge is a bit broken

Posted by: Daimean Aug 15 2009, 11:26 PM

All my old gameboys work perfectly with few scratches but my ds has a broken hinge because my friend dropped it but its almost time for me to replace it with a DSi.

Posted by: Aibiki Aug 16 2009, 01:32 AM

My Dslite has a crack on the GBA port, and its pink. And there's a small scratch on the touchscreen. But besides that all is well.
My GBA is missing its battery case cover. But it still works fine. And it has a crack on the screeen in the shape of a fang o.o;;

Posted by: V4LOVER Aug 16 2009, 06:01 AM

There WAS...

Broken right hinge
Scratch on touch screen
R button barely worked
Really hard to press the A button
Touch screen failed

And then I fixed it. grin.gif

Posted by: Nayz Aug 16 2009, 09:46 AM

There's a few nicks in my GBC and SP but other than that they both work fine.

Posted by: Captain Kay Aug 16 2009, 12:37 PM

Gameboy Colour: Surprisingly, it's fine. Needs new batteries, though.
GBA: Fine, except that when you plug a link cable in, you need to actually hold it in, else it doesn't work.
My Brother's GBA (which I have...requisitioned... ;]): The on/off light thing keeps changing its mind over whether it should be green or red, and there seems to be a kind of white bug thing crawling around inside the screen...slightly scary.
DS: There's a tiny spot on the touchscreen which is always red and there's a few bite marks at the top. I should really stop carrying it around in my mouth...

Posted by: Aaronaaron96 Aug 16 2009, 01:07 PM

my ds was cracked on the hinge, then finally the cover of the hinge came off so i can move the top half of my ds, surprisingly it still works really good yourmove.gif

My Ds top screen is kinda messed up.

Posted by: DeffendeR Aug 16 2009, 01:20 PM

Posted by: Dorumon7 Aug 16 2009, 03:17 PM

The only thing wrong with my DS Lite is that the screen won't stay up without put your finger behind it because a piece of the side thing broke off while in my pocket.

Posted by: Desert Fox Aug 17 2009, 05:45 AM

one of the hinges for my ds has snapped so i can't lift it up as i had done before.

Posted by: Deep Aug 17 2009, 08:31 AM

Posted by: Taran Aug 23 2009, 06:59 AM

That old one have been made in same year than I have born (1989). It worked fine untill few month ago I didint started anymore noes.gif
Dont know why...

My GBA SP works fine, and my DS lite has a crack on the hinge but it's working fine.

Posted by: dragngrl1122 Aug 23 2009, 10:16 AM

Heh. I have broken 2 ds lites and I just got my third and my gameboy never can stay on a full charge when i replace the batteries.

My mom broke my first ds by knocking it in the toliet
and I broke my second one by dropping it on the kitchen floor. -_-2.gif

Posted by: espeoradar Aug 23 2009, 02:12 PM

My DS lite is perfectly fine ^^

But there WAS a reason I needed on in the first place considering I've owned a DS since 2005. My DS has a crack on the hinge... and a massive crack in the screen with liquid crystal seeping out of it and most of the way across the screen =(

Not as bad as some I seen though. My friend's entire top screen was covered in liquid crystal apart from the upper-left corner and another friend accidentally kicked this one guys DS lite IN HALF (it still worked somehow though XD)

Posted by: Sophie12 Aug 23 2009, 02:15 PM

very the touch screen broke so i chucked it out the top of a block of flats

Posted by: NaoNao Aug 23 2009, 03:13 PM

Due to a very idiotic cousin, my DS Lite has a large crack on the outer top and the hinge is broken so the top screen falls on you as you play. = n=; It is not too bad though. My SP has some paint chips, but still working great and my GB Color is in great condition, save for a missing warning sticker. xD;

Posted by: Chaoschao Aug 23 2009, 04:17 PM

I only have a little crack on my PSP...my other consoles are just fine ^^

latios.gif latias.gif

Posted by: snaggles Aug 23 2009, 06:08 PM

Nintendium deposits must be getting rarer, as my original DS is a bit loose, my gameboy advance is fine, and my NES and N64 are also fine. My DS lite is broken however, and my replacement lite already has loose and slightly unresponsive shoulder buttons.

Posted by: Silverwing Aug 23 2009, 08:23 PM

my super old DS I got the day they came out with is in perfect condition, except I've over chargered it so much a full charge only lasts a day -_-.gif

Posted by: Breloom Aug 23 2009, 08:51 PM

My GBA is perfectly fine, save for some scratches that were there when I bought it ('twas used). My DSes, on the other hand... Well, one has a hinge that's broken off entirely, another has a bottom screen that won't show anything, and my third - other than having a few chips and dents in it - is in pretty good condition.

...I'm just a butterfingers, that's all. >:C

Posted by: Neko Wolf San Sep 2 2009, 03:54 PM

I had my DS since 2005, and it still works (yes, mine's the bulky, original model). It's a little dirty and has a few scratches on it, but it works completely fine, nonetheless.

Posted by: famatruni Sep 3 2009, 11:39 PM

My DS Lite isn't even scratched, but the top screen just won't work! It lights up, and after awhile you'll see black lines running through it, but it won't function, which means games like Pokemon Pearl won't even start up.

Posted by: essi Sep 4 2009, 04:59 AM

I have a standard, lovely, gray DS <3 The top screen is loose on one side. Also, I've scraped a lot on the lid.

Posted by: boooooooosa Sep 4 2009, 06:11 AM

My DS is very beaten up.
But It still works PERFECTLY, except sometimes it fails to read a game cartridge so I have to blow in it.
Anyway, the top part of the shell has a piece taken out of it, from when I manually replaced the top screen cause it had bad damage to it (from taking it out in my pocket while playing in the snow).
There is one scratch that is really noticable on the touch screen.
And then there's dents all over too.
But I still love it (little does it know I'm trading it for a DSi!! HAHAHA!!)

All my Gameboys are fine except for some scratches here and there.

As for my DS Lite, Junior year of HS I tossed a bottle of Pop into my backpack thinking the lid was on it tight and when I got to class and opened it, it was full of Pop and my DS was laying right in it. I couldn't have cared less that most of my homework was destroyed and that I was making a commotion. Luckily, It came on without a problem and everything was working on it fine although the Power, L & R buttons kinda stick from time to time. I'm extremely lucky that's all that it did considering what it went through.

Posted by: ItachiDanna Jan 7 2010, 10:48 AM

My gamecube.
One day I popped a game in it and it didnt read.
One of my friends used to drop it and toss it around and it seemed fine on the OUTSIDE. I guess it wasnt on the inside D;

Posted by: Ulquirine Jan 7 2010, 11:41 AM

The D-pad on my Game Boy Advance is completely shot, while my Ds' are scratched in several places but otherwise they all still work.

Posted by: Pizza Guy111 Jan 7 2010, 12:50 PM

My first DS... The hinges connecting the top to the bottom broke apart. Eventually the whole thing snapped off.

Posted by: Demonic Goddess Jan 7 2010, 12:54 PM

My old DS had scratches on the top screen, the touch screen was just awful with millions of scratches, when I put the top screen back all the way it would go white, and one day I dropped it and the top sreen was hanging by just some wires. XD

I got a new one but I lost it. XDD

Posted by: Lady Luxray Jan 7 2010, 12:59 PM

I've never really broken any of my Gameboy systems or my DS. My house was robbed and my original Gameboy and Gameboy Advanced were both stolen (along with Pokemon Red and Crystal crying.gif ) but I still have a perfectly functioning replacement original Gameboy, GBA and DS lite. The only thing associated with the DS that I've broken has been the ends of my styluses because I chew on them without thinking.

Posted by: Glitter Jan 7 2010, 04:32 PM

I don't know how but my DS is in near perfect condition, and I've dropped it down two flights of stairs. It has a few scratches on the plastic and a dead pixel on the bottom screen though.

The battery cover hinges on my GBA literally just... an hero'd about six months after I got it, which was hilarious, so for the past few years I've had to tape the batteries in or they fall out.

Posted by: Paranoia Jan 7 2010, 09:05 PM

My DS's touch screen is just way off. If I touch on the bottom of the screen, it says I touched the top, etc. I've tried recalibrating it, but apparently that's not the problem. There's also just a dead spot in the left-bottom corner that doesn't respond to anything at all. Luckily, Pokemon games aren't reliant on the use of a touch screen.

I guess that's what I get from trusting a used Gamestop console. It broke about 2 days after the warranty expired. >_>

You do that, too? Excellent~ I thought I was the only one that screwed up my styluses my chomping down on them. That's why I was happy when the blue DSi I got for Christmas had two styluses. Now, I'm using the extra for my good ol' DS. Other than that, both of my touch screens are a little off which is agitating when it comes to dressing up my Pokemon in contests. And uh.. both of my screens need to be cleaned a bit. The smudges from the previous wash are starting to annoy the shizz out of me. >:|

I've had my DS Lite for a couple years now and it's still in great condition. The outside is a bit scratched, but that's about it.

I'm really uptight when it comes to electronics, so mine tend to last a really long time. :>

Well for me the part that helps the ds open and close is kinda broken. So my mom stuffed paper in it so it wont pull out. So the top screen still works but turns black sometimes. And also it can't just stay there anymore...:|

The right joint of my DS's top screen has snapped completely, and my A button is really loose from the rapid A pressing I've done on Mario Party DS.

My SP runs out of power in 2 - 4 hours and has suffered cosmetic damage because I've dropped it a few times.

My GBA is fine.

My GameboyAdvance SP is still in great condition, even if the light isn't as bright as it used to be.
This is most likely because it was lost for about a year.

My DSi is still perfect, but my sister completely broke my DSLite (which is why I got a DSi).

My DSLite has a crack on the hinge on one side. You can see inside it but it works fine but the screen keeps falling foward so I have to play looking down
My Gameboy SP was fine the last time I checked but I cannot find it now.

My Gameboy Advanced SP is perfectly fine except maybe a scratch on the top, don't remember if it has one.

My DS has a small scratch on the top of it and the touch screen is covered in scratches from being used. *Glares at people who don't buy games just because it scratches the touch screen when the touch screen is meant to be used and scratched, it is just a screen after all* The microphone doesn't seem to work properly when I blow on it to play the pipes in Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks, good thing that game still says it is right when it is almost absolutely completely wrong! 8D

Posted by: derpchu Jan 12 2010, 05:11 PM

I have one of the older versions of the DS, and occasionally, the top screen will glitch up and turn white (I have to smack it in order to get it back to normal.
It still works fine though.

DS -- L button is screwed, and rarely works. The yellow light is broken, and doesn't work. Takes more seconds that it would normally take to turn on. All because of ONE fall. TT^TT

I'm on my fourth DS(i) at the moment; it's doing fairly well besides the glaringly obvious scratch on the shell, but I'm planning on replacing it soon.

My old GBA SP isn't faring as well, unfortunately (it's a real shame because the DSi doesn't have a GBA slot). It's been around for about six or seven years now, it used to be red but all the paint has been rubbed off over the years and the plastic on the back is slightly melted. Damn stove. Fortunately most of the games I have on my GBA are available for ROM download, I've already started amassing a collection since the thing could literally fall apart any moment. ._.;

Posted by: MikiMin Jan 15 2010, 11:24 PM

Umm...let's just say dropping it repeatedly from a height of about 3 feet onto concrete floor is bad for it. Mine just got to the point where it wouldn't even load anymore. I had to throw it out.

Posted by: Eniguma Jan 16 2010, 07:59 PM

Well, my old Gameboy color has some scratches in the screen and the sound adjuster (I guess it could be called that?) is stuck and doesn't move very well. My SP is in pretty good condition. The L and R bottoms don't work sometimes, but it's usually fine. It also has some scratches in the screen, but nothing big. Then I have two DS Lites. My older one has a broken hinge, making it close with not support, the R button is utterly broken, and the L button is halfway there. Also, it has some scratches in the bottom screen, but also nothing big. My newest DS Lite is in pretty much the same condition, except both its L and R button work fine, but the microphone is broken. I think it also has less scratches in its screen.

You might be able to fix it. Here's how: Cover the buttons completely with your mouth, and blow into them. It actually works really well. You'll have to do it from time to time, but they should work just fine after doing it.

My original White DS Lite, after nearly 4 years of use, had it's hinge broken on one side so the top screen is able to move in four dimentions (Up down left and right) and will flash white if I dont have it at a proper angle..... Thank god I got a new DS in the summer happy.gif The L button stopped working properly as well, you have to hold it tightly to get it to trigger.
Still have my Gameboy Color, games and all in good condition, and my SP is fine happy.gif

both of my DS were severely broken by my little brother
I had the original DS and the DS lite
He bent it backwards and the top screens snapped off

Posted by: Blueflame Jan 24 2010, 12:54 AM

Gameboy Advance: I was playing with the battery cover a long time ago and accidentally snapped the little connector thingy off. I hold it on with tape.

DS: I've had it for four years. Apart from a few scratches and dents, nothing was broken about it until last week. I lent it to my boyfriend and he dropped it on concrete when he was returning it to me, causing the right hinge to break. It still works; it's just awkward to open and close now.

Posted by: Cassarada Jan 24 2010, 12:55 AM

My original DS has part of the top screen falling off, one of the connector pieces broke when my brother dropped it over the railing in a hotel we were visiting. It hit tiles and cracked. It doesn't work at all anymore, all i get when I turn it on is a white screen and then it powers off. noes.gif

My DS lite has a chunk of the corner piece broken off too.
I hate my brother.

Ohhh, my poor DS. It's the old 'first edition' phat Blue one... old as Old as American Ds's can be...
For being dropped, dragged around, and chucked across a room, the only thing wrong with it is the very center of the touch screen doesn't always work, on the top screen the lower right corner is all dead red & blue pixels.

Posted by: RagingCubone Jan 24 2010, 10:49 AM

My DS has a pixel that remains green at all times on teh screen and the touch pad is horribly screwed up, what ever i touch on it selects the object to the far right and my Gameboy advanced i'm pretty sure it's dead.

Posted by: Bidoof Jan 24 2010, 10:56 AM

My Gameboy Colour: Games don't work.
My Gameboy Advanced: I dropped it in water while I was having a bath. The screen is all pixelated. It still works though.
My Gameboy Advanced SP: It got scratches all over it.
My DS Phat: The top screen popped out so it doesn't work. Touch screen is messed up. It still switches on though.
My DSi: It's in perfect condition. <3

All of my systems are in working order, although my GBA is the most damaged. Scratches all over the screen (Most at the bottom) and the battery holder is only there because of tape. Right now, it's actually an Ultra Thin sticker thing.
One of my N64 controllers doesn't work, and my main PS2 controller has the padding on the left joy stick removed.

Gameboy Advanced SP: I sold it, but before that it was okay, but my Emerald, I think, was pirated and stopped saving when I dropped my SP. I dunno actually what happened to it now, because the second time I (actually, MY NIECE) dropped it was the Christmas I got my Lite, and it was turned off when it was dropped, so I dunno how the Zelda in it was doing. I got addicted to my DS and played all the GBA games there, so I sold my Gameboy. Red rescue deleted itself. crying.gif

DS Lite: On its...third year, I believe, and still fine except the touch screen has hundreds of scratches. Even with a screen protector. Maybe it's the protector, then.

Oh, but my friends have strange stories of damage. My DS can't play Guitar hero because the crystal case makes the GBA slot fat and the Guitar Hero hand strap thing doesn't fit, so when I borrowed GH on a friend's DS, I had toplay it on hers, too. The notes were on the top screen and it was so annoying because the hinge must've broken and the top was all floppy, and when I started bobbing to the rythm, the screen bobbed and the notes disappeared. noes.gif

Another friend's DS indicator light "exploded" three years ago while she was charging. She was so annoyed when she learned that a friend and I had 2 year old DSes that we ALWAYS play while charging and never explode.

Now that other friend knows some reall rich girl. Her top screen fell off completely, and all she said was, "Oh well, I'll get it fixed."

I got my DSLite From my big bro, who never breaks anything. So it's doing perfectly fine~

Posted by: Savvy Feb 6 2010, 04:47 PM

My first DS got slammed in the door of my Dad's '94 Mustang.
The entire top screen was cracked, so you couldn't see a thing.
I felt horrible...

Besides that and when my GBA got stolen, nothing else has happened to any version of my Gameboys.

I always take care of my games *-* recently my ps3 blu-ray reader broke i bought another ps3 a slim one now and changed the reader of the older one =D I guess I have two ps3s now xD anymay my DSs are all in great condition even my gba! =D

My DS lite is pretty much banged up to hell and back, from being shoved in my purse, slung around, and dropped a few times, it's still working pretty good. Sometimes my games randomly freeze up though, and there are tons of scratches all over it. a piece of the plastic near the GBA slot is loose, though. The touch screen is beyond filthy. I dont think anything will be able to clean it. ugh.

Posted by: Dragonfree of TCoD Feb 14 2010, 10:55 PM

Not at all, generally. I take very good care of my stuff. The only damage any of my handhelds have suffered is the touch screen of my DS getting pretty scratched up, which is unavoidable, and the buttons on my old Game Boy Color are a little unresponsive though I'm not sure exactly how that happened (maybe dust).

Posted by: DavidFayte Feb 14 2010, 11:46 PM

I keep all of my things in perfect condition.. I do wish I didn't lose Pokemon Platinum, but still. (There is actually one scratch on the outside side of my red DS Lite, it's unnoticable though.)

Posted by: snoga Feb 15 2010, 12:55 AM

Well the top of my ds is coming lose oh.gif
And my gba/ds security numbers came off with age

Posted by: Rich Boy Feb 15 2010, 02:11 AM

I've noticed that over the years that Nintendo has built some pretty damn durable systems. A prime example of that is my DS Phat which has multiple gashes all over the top (it was an original silver, I'll get to my "fix" later) cover and I clearly remember knocking it off my top shelf where I tend to place stuff that's not been used for a while and it falling on solid concrete (Unfinished basement, fell about 6 feet) and it still runs like a champ. For my fix I ran a series of strips of electric tape over the top cover to hide the grotesque abuse it's took over it's tenure, and it actually came out pretty nice artistically. oh.gif

my gameboy is dirty and the battery thing is broken also. my DS is fine nothing is broken

Posted by: Aibiki Feb 15 2010, 08:42 PM

My DS Lite has two cracks, one on the weak side of the GBA port, and one on the top opposite the hinges. There is also a small scratch on the touch screen.

My GBC (before I got rid of it) had a big scratch on the screen. My SP, surprisingly, is almost pristine, minus a scratch on the battery door when I got curious as to what the battery system looked like.

GBA is missing the battery door, and there are a few scratches, nothing too terrible.

Posted by: Thale Feb 15 2010, 08:45 PM

My Gameboys, I gave away. . .

But my DS Lite has a serious hinge problem.

Posted by: OmegaForte Feb 15 2010, 11:10 PM

It's so hard to take care of my stuff when you have brothers and such.
My most busted up one is my SP. The R and L buttons barley work and the outside parts are scratched up to death. Though the screen is perfect... and system still works perfect like day one.

My DSi is a used one but I still have it the same condition, or even better! lol.

Posted by: Afug Feb 17 2010, 12:47 PM

I sold my gameboy advance to buy a broken Gamecube from my dad for $40. He's such an a$$, making his daughter pay that much for something he found in the garbage...but I really wanted it and I didn't have enough to buy it brand new...

The sound is a little funky on it and sometimes it doesn't read discs but it still works. <3

Posted by: Kit Kat Feb 17 2010, 02:53 PM

My GBA disappeared a few years ago, and I'm still not sure what happened there! The DS Lite that I replaced it with is in good condition; I keep it in a carrying case when I'm not using it and so far it's never been dropped.

Posted by: Reyo Feb 17 2010, 04:27 PM

1st DS is MIA along with 90% of the games I had for it.
2nd DS is working perfectly up to this day, but the only games I have are Platinum, COD: MW (DS edition), and some random RPG game I haven't played in ages.

Posted by: wenganator Feb 17 2010, 04:28 PM

All my game stations (Gameboy, DS, Wii) and all my games are all in really good condition...except for my Wii Sports Instruction...my friend's little brother shredded it DX or XD? I dunno... happy.gif

Posted by: Silversoul Feb 17 2010, 05:23 PM

Yeah, my 360 is in good shape. My DS's left hinge is cracked...

Posted by: GoldenMisdreavus Feb 17 2010, 08:03 PM

My 5 year old DS has a cracked hinge and the top screen likes to discolour itself now and then. My barely year old DS lite met with milkshake in my bag on the way to London one day.

My game boy color has a scratch or two and the battery cover is missing. My new Blue DSi is in perfect shape. <3

Posted by: Shiny Ampharos Feb 17 2010, 08:13 PM

Hmm, well, let's see. My consoles have a long history of..damage. I take good care of them, but a lot of them are old.

Gameboy Color: Can't remember where it is. It's doing ok, though.

Gameboy Advance: Don't get me starrrted. The whole screen is covered in cracks, it's been dropped in juice and the control pad is stuck-ish. It still works though! xDD

Gameboy Advance SP: Pretty good shape. It's got a few scratches on the top, but other then that it's pretty good.

DS Lite 1: Completely broken. Don't know what happened.

DS Lite 2: It developed some kind of hinge problem (Which I call a flesh eating virus.) and the hinges were in pretty bad shape, and when I got a new ds I gave it to my friend. Now, the top is about to fall off. It's duct taped.

DS Lite 3: This one's doing ok. Got a few bite marks on the one corner from my cat, and devoloping a Flesh eating virus very slowly. Hopefully it won't progress and end up like the second one.

DSi 1: Defected. Traded in for another.

DSi 2
: In great shape. Not a scratch in site!

Wii:
It got electrocuted, but survived. Hurrah! 8D

PS2: Good shape. A little dusty, though.

N64: TROOPER. SRSLY. If I listed all the things that happened to it the page would stretch. Long story short, it was my first console, I was 5, and it's been worn. Still works ok.

Posted by: Gale Hawthorne Feb 17 2010, 10:58 PM

N64 has survived.
Gamecube hasn't.
I'm confused.

Wii is holding up, even after multiple tantrums on MKWii WiFi.

DS... It, well, works. I mean, it's in two pieces, but the wires are still working... dry.gif
Gameboy Advance doesn't work. I mean, it turns on, but the control pad doesn't work. At all.
Game Boy Colour held up better. It still plays fairly well, which is good because I need to work on my Pokémon Yellow.

Posted by: Annakyoyama358 Feb 17 2010, 11:48 PM

ds lite: cracked hinge and crazycolored top screen.
touch is fine tho

Posted by: Eclipse Absol Feb 18 2010, 04:50 AM

Let me look...

Game Boy: It's still in one piece! Yay! =D
Game Boy SP: It's screwed. 'Nuff said.
Pink DS lite: The top screen fell of one day and it died. noes.gif
Green DS lite: The most newest of the bunch, and it hadn't been damaged yet! =D

Posted by: Zero Gravity Feb 18 2010, 03:02 PM

Gameboy Color: Still in one piece, screen is a bit scratched but nothing truley noticeable
Gameboy Advanced: Ditto
Gameboy SP: Scrached to hell, screen is still in tact
Nintendo DS:
-- White one: Broke the right hinge, replaced with a black shell
-- Colbalt one: Missing
-- Ice Blue: Perfect condition

Posted by: Synx Itax Feb 18 2010, 08:01 PM

I sold my Gameboy Colors (I had two, one of which I got for free off the road o_O), my GBA, and my old DS. My Gameboy SP is fine, as is my DS Lite. I try to keep them in good condition. xD

Posted by: Fancypants Feb 19 2010, 09:48 PM

GBA, L and occasionally R button is not working probably out of place.

Posted by: Evilyn Feb 20 2010, 12:24 PM

My DS is perfectly fine.

Posted by: jessxthexmess Feb 20 2010, 03:20 PM

My PSP has a huge crack that goes off the right side of the screen.
Though, it still works perfectly fine.

Posted by: Harudoku Feb 20 2010, 03:21 PM

My original Game Boy (the big gray clunky one) still works perfectly. My GBC works, but has a broken battery latch. My GBA SP works, but the R button is broken. My DS works about half of the time, and neither the R nor the L buttons work.

Yes. The older the console, the less broken it is.

xD oh gawd I've gotten pretty mad playing mkw too. All my systems except my ds phat are fine...my ds phat got raged on and the hinges broke.

Posted by: Ryubane Feb 20 2010, 07:59 PM

GBA: Battery cover gone, so all that holding the double-A's in there is a piece of duct tape.
GBA SP: Still in great condition (A small miracle in and of itself).
GameCube: Only one Memory Card slot is working, and I don't know why. Other than that it's great.
DS Lite: Screen hinge on right is broken through, so the screen won't hold up at all. Everything still functions perfectly, however.

From what else I've heard from this thread, my stuff is in pretty good condition. On the other hand, there's my friend Larry, who broke his DS so badly that the top screen was only hanging on by only half of the left hinge. His Wii's condition is also declining by the day, so...

Posted by: Sonar Feb 20 2010, 08:08 PM

N64: In good condition. Still working like it's new. o.o
DreamCast: Ditto.
GBA: Ditto, sometimes the game doesn't start up though. And it's dirty on the bottom, but otherwise perfectly fine. Oh, and it has scratches from being dropped on the ground.
DS Lite: A bit dirty, has scratches from being dropped on the ground as well. Sometimes I have to turn it on and off to play the game.
Wii: Acts like it's new.
DSi: Ditto.
PS2: Ditto again.
PS3: Ditto yet again.

Same my DS Lite is in perfect condition. It is only a couple years old and I am always careful with it.

My DSI is in pretty much perfect condition since I wipe the screens everyday, and clean it...
And I sold my GBA for $30 devil.gif
