There are so many good books I would say here so it's difficult to decide where to start. Just to say a few I must say
World War Z by Max Brooks Some of you have probably seen the movie made about this. I also saw it and though it was good, the book was still better because book contains several different stories from different characters. I'm going to get this to my own bookshelf one day for sure. Dracula by Bram Stoker Well, anyone probably knows this one. It's old but still better vampire story than any of the new ones like Vampire diaries or Twilight. Really recommend to read Dracula if you're not done that already. Downside series by Stacia Kane These were first boks I read in english so this may be a little special to me because of that. In this world people turn to ghosts when they die and those ghosts have to be banished so they wouldn't kill living. So basically story tells about Chess who is witch and ghost-hunter. Chess is also drug-addict so reader gets to see also how Chess is trying to keep her drug using as a secret. |

I'm so happy for this topic BTW. My favorite would be the Chronicles of Vladimir Tod series. The reason- its not your average teen vampire book. I hated Twilight. It was not a vampire book, more like a book about faries. Vlad is a lot more manly than Edward. It was not a mushy love story, and there was actually sad death in it. Not too much but enough to be a vampire book. I could relate to Vlad. Relating to a character makes the book so much more worthwhile. It feels like you have gained a new friend. Also finally a vampire book with a guy teenage vamp who is the main character. I hardly find those that I like. This book was amazing and I say everyone check it out and read it.

So many good ones to choose from...!
Well, I'm a little ashamed to say I haven't been reading as much now as I usually do. Recently I did read The Shining, which I absolutely love(d). I read the Percy Jackson books way back when they were first published ( I'll probably think of some more some time. XD -------------------- Credits!! (click to show ) |

I love Flowers for Algernon! That book was so sad though... Right now, I'm infatuated with The Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices series. Cassandra Claire is an amazing author and 150% better than Stephanie Meyer.
-------------------- Wait, who's "Flame?" I see no "Flame" here, and I doubt there ever will be a "Flame," in plain sight or otherwise. Besides, you wouldn't call, sweet, precious Flare by any other name, would you?

I don't really follow a series, so a lot of the books I like are usually solo ones. I've loved The Book Thief and Wolverine: Weapon X for the longest while. Though I have also really enjoyed The Girl Who Played With Fire, despite the fact that the previous book bored me half to death.
