Ursaring has a very high attack stat, which matches that of Ho-oh and Kingler. Although, it has below average defenses and speed. I would call it a decent pokemon.

I'd catch one if I were you. If you think it's sort of weak, you can still have it in your PC. Lots of people like it, maybe your could trade with you friends? Anyway, you should catch one. ^_^.gif

If you use it correctly then it's a good pokemon.

Since it's ingame.
Do whatever.
Competively, it isn't the best of the best, since it gets ko'd pretty easily.
But hey it's ingame.
Who cares?

There are no good or bad pokemon. There are only good or bad trainers.
Unless you are talking about something REALLY useless in battle even with a good trainer, such as Spinda or Luvdisc, or a REALLY cheap pokemon that can win even with the most useless trainers, such as Arceus.
Overall, Ursaring is pretty good ingame, but not good enough against top Smogon trainers or other very competitive people.

I would raise it from a teddiursa. Pokemon are stronger when you catch them young and build them up.

Ursaring is an overall average pokemon with great potential. It has one of two abilities: Guts and Quick Feet. Guts boosts Attack under the conditions poisoned, burned, paralyzed or sleep while Quick Feet helps with Speed under the mentioned conditions. Also, Guts ignores a burn's secondary effect of lowering Attack power and Quick Feet is safe from the paralsis Speed drop. Both abilities can change the flow of battle esp. if your opponet likes to play a little dirty. I'd go with a Guts Ursaring; Guts boosts what it's best at, Attack. Sure Quick Feet can turn the bear into an ideal sweaper, hitting hard and fast, but you'll never when (under paralysis) you'll be stoped in your tracks.

Yeah

Guts + Poison + Facade = Win.
Or you can rest + sleep talk with another move. It's pretty decent.

Ursaring is a great pokémon, if you know how to use it.
I suggest a Adamant Ursaring with Quick Feet ability. Toxic orb as item and the moves are Crunch, Earthquake, Facade and Close Combat. If you're accustomed to using support moves put Swords Dance in Close Combat place.

It's actually the pokemon that made Crystal slightly broken... Well, teddiursa.gif was... you could get it in an early cave, I do believe, and it's really good attack and defense just made it full of own. So if you happen to replay Crystal any time... grin.gif

But it's generally a pretty neat Poke for attack and defense, once you're used to using it.

I'd say go for it. I run a Trick Room team in-game, so Ursaring was home in my team.
