There was an old image that got posted around 10 years ago of a crappy halloween decoration that was supposed to say "spooky" but with skulls for the O's, but it was misspelled "spoopy"

We chose 13 scary Pokémon, the number seemed fitting for a Halloween-themed event. wink.gif

You guys must all be ninjas, how fast those eggs are grabbed!
I'm sure the number of eggs in the Shelter will be more balanced tomorrow, same as with SWSHs. ^^

I don't know if I just ignored it before, but i like the banner notification that i just noticed, makes it a lot easier to keep track of candies. Does anyone know if hatch power boosts candy appearance?

No, the banner thing was added/turned on not long ago. It wasn't there earlier today. Don't know about hatch power and it's potential boosting or not.

Wish I was hunting some of these. 2 shinies today. Except my spooky plate is already complete (but did get my first dread shard).

13 candies so far, but got multiple of everything available at 10 pieces. Anyone gotten to 300 candies yet?

Quick question, has any of you been able to see the candy in your inventory? Because I had been hatching them since yesterday and got mentions that I earned candy but it's still at 0 in my inventory

Hmm, that shouldn't be happening.
I notified Zerxer of your problem, hopefully he'll be able to look at it and see what's wrong.

Just to be clear: it's been on 0 all this time?
What are you using to view the site on? Google Chrome/Safari/etc?

I hope we'll be able to resolve it quickly, so you can get to collecting your Halloween candy!

I can see my 23. Does the crystal ball at the top of your page show 0 as well? Or is it just the Inventory screen?

EDIT - Yes. I know it's actually a Halloween Jack-o-lantern candy bucket. But it LOOKS like a crystal ball.

Sorry, not sure how it happened, but you somehow had two Halloween Candy records, one with your 32 candies and another with 0, so it kept showing you the 0.

I've removed the extra record and your inventory displays the correct amount now.

I don't think that is what was being pondered. I'm thinking Shiny Dragonite wanted to know what the items in the list do, and how easy or hard they are to get elsewhere.

RicFule is right in that interpretation. I just managed to look the items up in the Wiki so I now know what they do but I have no idea if they are possible to get at any other times.

For some reason all the images are huge and I don't know why or how to fix it so be warned.

Just shy of 200 candies, but I've been lucky enough to find 4 shinies so far! Two ghosts (Yamask & Duskull), two non-ghosts. Hopefully the last stretch to 300 will yield some more. :]

Haven't found any shinies over here, but I'm hoping for at least a couple of Iron Shards provided Mawile wants to be kind to me. I don't have any of those yet. And a shiny Sandygast would be nice too, I suppose.

EDIT: at least, not event-related. I did get a Cutiefly.

Are the candies supposed to cap in your inventory at 300? I reached 300 awhile ago, probably a few hours, and stopped checking. I just looked and still only had 300 even though I've hatched more candies. The initial post doesn't say anything about it capping, and this is my first event after disappearing for 6 or 7 years so I'm not sure if it's something already known or if my thing is glitched. I used the 300 and now I'm at 1.

And here's me who saw the 300-candy prize in someone's party while clicking, and there's stuff at the lower tiers I need, and only a day or so left (I really hope it ends at the END of Nov 4th, not the beginning...)

I'm over 100 candies, and 1 shiny so far (well...2, but one wasn't event-related XD), started 2 more ghost hunts even though I already have my spooky plate (although I do need one more Dread shard...)

  • Pokémon from the list below will have a chance of hatching with Halloween Candy!
  • Collect enough Halloween Candy to exchange it for some awesome frightening prizes (prices ranging from 10 to 300 candies)!
  • Check your Inventory to see how much candy you've collected so far!
  • The event will start on Saturday (27th of October), and will run for a little over a week (last day is Sunday, the 4th of November).

Just do whatever you want with it, I guess. If you need Dex entries from the pool of Pokemon it gives out, then use the Candy on getting those. Otherwise you can just hang on to it.
