Anyone have times where they just failed utterly? For example, I raised a Togekiss to level 45 today only to realize that I needed a RASH Fairy type, not just any Fairy type.

Can't say it's an utter fail, but it was a stupid mistake of mine.
So, Unova badges + require pokemon born from winter of '13 or later, right?
Just as i got all of required pokemon for both Bolt badges, i noticed there's no Bolt Badge + notification. The problem was Zebstrika, who was born in '10 instead.
Now i have to retrain a new Zebstrika. Could avoid it all, if i checked birth info beforehand.

Thanks. It took me about hour and half clicking my shiny Zebstrika to 100, so it wasn't a big deal of issue.

Accidentally moving to a different page when there was an Articuno in the Safari Zone. Other than that nothing really. Though I have done it multiple times now...

I do that a lot. Once did it with a shiny; luckily, it showed up again on the page right after. Misclicking is definitely an annoying thing, though.

Heh, well that's some luck that it hadn't been claimed and showed up again.
I recently went to go claim a Pokemon in Safari Zone and got a notice my party was full... Just wow...

I just spent the last month hatching 200 Zygarde and I don't see the Zygarde Complete pokemon for sommoning.

Not really a fail as it just hasn't been implemented yet. Your time you took to hatch the Zygarde's will not go to waste, as once it's implemented you'll be able to redeem the other forms you were working towards.

I still needed to Mega evolve my Latias. Thanks to someone releasing all their Pokémon I managed to grab a Latios as it is necessary for Latias's Mega evolution. My Latias had already reached full happiness so I thought: "Why is the evolution option not available? Why is the font not bold?" Then, after several minutes, it dawned on me: I don't have Latias's mega stone yet ^^;.
Oh no. Hopefully you can get it soon!

Two major fails I had this week. I really shouldn't do important things when tired. xD
First, I released all daycare eggs, of course with two Noveltys among them (meant to use Heart Sweets, released instead. But they weren't shiny, so that's good. xD)
Second: Accidentally released a box (that I had been too lazy to rename or move to safer waters) including some legendarys (like Solgaleo) and - what annoys me the most - the Bort Carbink I still need for Mega Diancie (Which I also hadn't evolved yet because never enough party space or forgotten) and those things are so insanely hard to obtain, I even used a Novelty voucher for mine to finally have it. T_T

@Coordinator Anna: They should have some kind of "Slowest time to finish an Exploration" Achievement. That's honestly quite impressive.

Aww. Better luck next time! At least it's an Exploration Pokemon, so you can potentially grab it that way when the Explo rolls around again.

I accidentally released Meloetta because I used opption "Hatched and move to box all Pokemon" and later didn't notice that she was in leftovers box, not in legendary
This was my 1st Meloetta in GPX
My 1st legendaries always are special to me ;-;

I had three eggs in the Mobile Walker. A Lugia, A Ho-Oh, and a Riolu. I'm shiny hunting the third. The Riolu egg hatched and I went to release it, misread and misclicked, and released all three Pokemon. I'm really annoyed @ myself because I bought /both/ summoning items so I literally just wasted all of my Prize Points.
Yay I'm so smart!!! Ugh.

I once released a shiny azurill because of a mismanagement of the lock/unlock when waiting for hapiness to fill up. A classic. I tip my hat to those who released an exploration-only legendary. Nice one too.

I got a Shiny Voucher, and started a Shiny hunt with the intent of getting a legendary/Novelty Shiny in one hatch. I was going for the Novelty Bidoof because it's a Novelty pokemon that can turn into multiple forms back and forth, but because I activated the Hatch All, I got the Normal Shiny Bidoof - yes, I used a Shiny Voucher on a COMMON POKEMON.

Back when the site was new and legendaries/mythicals were gotten only by random distribution events, one of the ones I got was Celebi.
At some point a few years ago, I was mass releasing Pokemon from shiny hunting and somehow, that Celebi got added to the mix. I probably accidentally clicked it as I was clicking boxes for release. Now, getting a Celebi isn't a big deal, but a Celebi from explorations can't replace my special event Celebi.
It doesn't bother me much anymore, but once in a while I miss it.
