Active Squad

Name: Tsurugi, Kairin
Age: 12
Hometown: Petropolis

Appearance: Kairin is a rather short kid, not standing any higher than 4'8" even on the best of days. His head is topped off with a rather unusual sight, bearing snow-white hair that just refuses to go down on the boy. The white hair is not a deformity nor is it a sign that he is unhealthy, it simply is naturally that color according to his doctors. His hair is usually kept up in a sense where it's natural and he doesn't comb it at all, but if he so wishes to he can slightly pat it down; the only difference is whether or not you can see his crow's nest. Everything else about his head is more than not normal to that of any other human, and it should be noted his eye color is that of a very light blue.

Even though he grew up in the busy city of Petropolis, the boy still found some way or another to keep up with his tan, and his skin boasts the fact. Wearing typical clothing, he wears jeans most of the time, as well as a black type of T Shirt, although he has the same designed shirt in a long-sleeve fashion as well. He uses a green drawstring bag to carry most of his needed equipment, although things like 6 pokeballs are kept along his waist line on his custom made Pokebelt. Also, he keeps certain things like his Pokedex and spare change in his pockets.

Personality: Kairin can only really be considered one thing, that being lazy. He doesn't like to fight if he doesn't have to, he doesn't like going the extra mile. Basically, he is content with just doing the bare minimum, and anything more than that seems like it's too much work. That goes without saying that he'll still go the extra mile if he sees a reason to do so, but he will still try and get out of doing it if he can. Pokemon battles are kind of caught in between, and normally he'll see them as the bare minimum for Training purposes, but it doesn't mean he'll be thrilled every time he has to battle, whether it be with another trainer or a wild Pokemon.

Biography: Kairin really wasn't born into a fascinating life, just having been the child of two once Pokemon Trainers. Having been born in Petropolis, he never left it until starting his Journey, so he had little to no real knowledge of the real world; absolutely no first-hand experience at that. He just grew up not really feeling he needed to know it yet, his time would come to leave on his own adventure and get more knowledge. Until that time he would just have to learn all he could about Pokemon, enlisting in the local Pokemon Academy. His grades were fairly low because of his lazy attitude, although he knew just as much as any other kid in the class, so he didn't care what his physical grade was.

When he turned ten, Kairin would be gifted with his first and main Pokemon, being Psy the Ralts. It wasn't in the traditional sense though, as he received the Pokemon in the form of an egg from his parents, trying to get their son out of his lazy streak. It wouldn't help that much, but it did teach him a little about caring for Pokemon and such. Despite the egg not hatching for a month, the Ralts that came out would be a healthy one, and grow into a strong young Ralts. Even though he could have technically left on his adventure at that time, he didn't. For reasons he didn't even truly know. Some claim it was just him being lazy, but really it was because he didn't feel he was ready. Because of that he just waited until he was, which would come in about two years.

The two years later would be his twelfth birthday, where he got a couple of new partners. Goron the Aron and Shadow the Zorua were given to Kairin by his grandparents, his mom's parents gifting him with Goron while his dad's parents gifted him with Shadow. When his parents found out what their parents had planned, they saw that there were no females in the party, even if three of the four were Pokemon. To try and balance it out they would get Light the Litwick, making it a triple present from them all, pushing him to finally leave on his own just as they had done so many years ago. Now on his adventure, he would do his best to make them happy, but his laziness could keep him from reaching his true potential.
