Oh my gosh. 2 pages and no mention of Katamari Damacy yet? Really? It probably takes the cake as far as weird games go. Makes for a great party game though, what with the crazy colours, ridiculous plot, and fun gameplay. Even just watching can be interesting. Can't wait till I get home to my PS3 so I can snatch up Noby Noby Boy though. I hear it's quite similar in feel so it should be great.
Another good 'wtf' one is "You Have To Burn The Rope" it's one of my FAVOURITE browser-based games. It's just... just... ridiculous. And it has a really great theme song. Everyone should google it and give it a play. It doesn't take long at all! -------------------- |

Wario Ware for its purposeful bizarre-ness.
but...Cubivore probably takes the cake. it's weird without being marketed as such, but trust me, it's just...really really weird. -------------------- |

I haven't played many weird games, and the only one that is really "weird" was Whacked! It wasn't a popular game, and I've never heard anyone speak of it, or even hear of it. o_O
It's kind of a like a game show, and there are eight different characters you can play. It plays like a gameshow, too, with funny commercials in between games and cut scenes of the characters interacting. It even has a prize at the end--whatever your character truly desires. It's pretty cool, and you get new things to use (like "The Big, Red Button!"). You basically run around after the other characters, and hit them with weapons so that they'll bleed stars, which you collect. Most of the levels, anyway. Some are like dodge ball, another other games. The game gets harder and harder up until the last level. Then, you find out that the host is actually a demon, and he just found out that the gameshow got canceled. Your character, being the only one left, is upset that he/she isn't getting a prize. So said demon sends you to Hell to fight his minions. It's an interesting game, and especially interesting to play with someone else. The characters are diverse--from the ever-annoying Charity, whose only desire is every present in the world; to the pervy Lance, whose arrogant and self-centered; and even a recliner with a guy named Otto in it. I say that the recliner is the player, rather than Otto, because Otto doesn't get his prize at the end (the chair gets the girl, how cliched) and he spends the entire time sleeping. Oh, and yeah. There's the bunny Lucky who is bright red, and wants to reek havoc on the world for taking all four of his lucky bunny feet. So he replaced them with laser cannons. Amusing game. It's X-Bow, and I recommend it if you're looking for a few laughs. I myself, SUCKED at the game, but I liked watching my friend play through because of the cut-scenes and the commercials. -------------------- |

When I think ridiculous. I mean it in a good way. I have to say Dokapon Kingdom. It's like Mario Party. Except with more backstabbing, conniving, and other such things that can break friendships. XD;
But I think the crowning moment of WHUT? Goes to the fact that you can get these bizarre hairstyles from the castle, which can range from your trendy punk-rocker to... ... An axe on your head. Or a shark if you feel inclined. And while I wasn't witness to it, apparently when my boyfriend was playing Dokapon with his family, after suffering a defeat, he was bequeathed by his opponent ... Wait for it.... Poo hair. Little Big Planet is pretty ridiculous too. In a very quirky and cute way. -------------------- |

Well, I've played Earthbound and Katamari Damacy, and those are both pretty weird. But you gotta admit, gamers' standards of weird are kind of...off.
"Nah, a talking hedgehog that can hit Mach 5 is totally normal, man. Hey, check out this game with the pink puff ball that eats everything!" -------------------- |

Space Channel 5. That game is so ridiculous, but so fun xD
Katamari Damacy is 2nd. Elite Beat Agents, Gitaroo Man, and Parappa the Rapper are tied for 3rd. All great games. This post has been edited by AuraWolf: Apr 26 2009, 12:26 AM -------------------- |

Contact for the DS. You battled with stickers, healed in a tub, and saved in a bed. Which made it very awkward when you were about to go into a cave...
And there's a bed and tub just kinda sitting out there. I stopped playing after that. -------------------- |

It's a toss up between Populous: The Beginning or Creatures. Both Playstation 1 games. Both equally hard to understand what's going on and difficult to operate even though they're analog controlled. I still have them too (I got them years ago). One of these days I'll get around to trading them in.

My pick for this would have to be 'Wedding Dash' which came on my phone. Play time lasted maybe 30 seconds.

Some Power Puff Girls game for the GBA. I forget the title of it (and I tried looking for it but I lost it).
It was just so terrible! I couldn't pass the first level, and I had no idea what to do or how to play because the description didn't say anything useful PS - I was 6 at the time when I got the game -------------------- |

OMFG. Creatures. NOT a game that should have been ported to consoles. It's too damnably mouse-driven. >>;
And for the record, it's Ecco. Not Echo. And it pwns SOULS. In an annoyingly difficult sort of way... But then, I just like the Vortexians and REALLY love the good future timeline in Ecco: The Tides of Time. >>; Anyway. Ridiculous? Anything Mother and Katamari Damacy instantly jumps to mind. Other things that jump to mind are Great Greed, a BIZZARE gameboy RPG and a few translations for games, some official (Breath of Fire 2 dear lorde the translation on that HURT) and some hillarious bootlegs (Three words. Keitai. Denjuu. Telefang.) A couple of point-and-click games I've played also have a couple of really ridiculous moments.
