its at random there is a low chance of getting one so you need luck you wont be able to see the egg if its shiny you need to hatch it and hope you have luck..... it happens to all of us *Starts Crying because never got the shiny Luxray And Shiny Bunny* So... Sniff just keep trying then you might get one

I have bred well over 1600 eggs and have yet to breed a shiny. Granted, that figure includes eggs which were never picked up, so we will never know if one of them was shiny, but of those that have, none have been shiny.

I was on a Carvanha shiny hunt, and like the 136th egg was shiny, but I didn't get it.

This is why I never breed for my own shiny hunts.
I used to think about doing it, but when I bred a Shiny Horsea (Not one of my shiny hunts, but still. D= ) I just said "forget it" and got all my shiny hunt eggs from the shelter or lab. I still get uneasy breeding my Ivy and Venus clones. I'm hunting for both a Shiny Bulba (Ivy) and a Shiny Bulba clone. Whenever those Bulba eggs go to the shelter I think "If you're shiny, I swear my head will implode. @_@" -------------------- Like anime reviews, stuff and more stuff? Several times, in fact. First was a Shellos almost a year ago. Then a Phione, again almost a year ago. Went quite a while before another one I didn't get was bred, a Hippopotas, and then a Bidoof(They're actually related.).
I'd be REAL pissed if I were to breed a Shining I'm looking for and not get it, but that's yet to happen. -------------------- |

I've bred more than 500 wynahts. Two of them were shiny (yay!) but they went to two other people (aww!). But I'm still breeding. Hoping the third shiny is mine.

-giggles- When I was breeding slime slugma for the achievement, two of their offspring ended up being shiny - the only normal slugma egg that someone picked up was shiny, and some random, lucky person got the shiny slime slugma I bred.
 I wasn't really miffed about either, I just thought it was odd that the only slugma egg picked up was shiny. -------------------- I'm just a silly mass-clicker.  |

I have bred a couple of shiny Pokemon and I too worry about breeding PKMN I'm looking for. Luckily, I was able to breed and get a shiny that I was looking for a few months ago. I just hope I have the same luck soon.

Hmm. I've a feeling that the person who bred my shiny ponyta is looking for one. :s
I've bred shiny oddish, chimchar, and machop but I wasn't looking for them, nor did I really want the second two, so it's all good. I avoid breeding for shinies that I want unless the eggs are hard to come by. If you were to breed for shinies though, it would be better to have only one parent be the pokemon you want shiny. It cuts the chance of you grabbing the wrong egg. Maybe.
