Aubrey was startled by the blonde as she started speaking, but eventually got up to follow her around. As the rebellion member explained the base, she looked around, eyeing the walls of the hallway as she did. When she had been back home in the poor district, she had never imagined that this sort of facility could be under her feet.

Thinking about the notion, she was almost left behind again just as the woman led them to the kitchen. She was almost knocked aside by a scuttling chef, but managed to right herself just as the blonde talked about one of their bases falling today. Thinking briefly to the crumbling warehouse, she gulped.

’She couldn’t’ be talking about what happened a few hours ago…After all, it was a Magma warehouse…right?’ She thought, brushing some of her dark hair aside as she followed the group through many hallways. It was all a blur as they made it to where they would be sleeping, the blonde’s shaking bracelet snapping Aubrey out of her thoughts.

Blinking at the doors, she smiled tentatively at Jonah as he waved, Blank following him through without making any eye contact. Maeko simply walked past her, probably heading somewhere else, while Aubrey pushed the pink door open.

The room was surprisingly empty and lined with beds on both sides of the room. Walking all the way down to the end, she didn’t hesitate to use the bathrooms that waited, eventually coming out of a stall and washing her hands.

She stopped to look at the mirror, just as she was ready to claim a bed just like the woman said she should. She could see traces of dirt and chunks of hair clinging together, which caused the trainer to sigh and attempt to clean herself.

’And we have to get up at 7 in the morning too…I’m way too tired to have a shower,’ She though irritably, remembering the bathing stalls that she had passed not a minute ago. Eventually giving up on trying to wash herself using the sink, she had some trouble finding an open bed.

Finally finding an open cot, she took the nameplate and didn’t blink as she input her name. putting it back down again, she saw that her bed was directly across from Maeko’s, who was already asleep with her Pokémon. Smiling wearily, she flopped down on the bed and put her bag on the floor. Taking off her Pokéballs, she opened them up and greeted her Pokémon with a smile.

“So guess what? I found them. This is the rebellion, you guys. That also means that everyone else…should be here,” She spoke, referring to her brothers. They were the ones that had passed on her Pokémon to her before leaving for the rebels. After they had left, she had no contact with them, and sought out the rebellion.

“But anyways. We got to rest up. Turns out we have something to do early in the morning, so get some sleep,” She continued, not noticing how tired she was until she was yawning and crawling under the covers. Her three Pokémon gave a small cry of approval before curling up to Aubrey’s already sleeping form. She had managed to set her Pokétech, which was in her bag, to the time they had to get up just in case, and drifted off into sleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.

Jonah let out his five pokemon. As they surrounded him and he smiled. "We'll be safe now. Soon you'll meet your parents and I'll be back in my gym."

He fell onto his bed while his pokemon came up and snuggled in. He slowly let the darkness consume him.
##########
Jonah slowly woke up. He looked over to his Pokegear, which read "5:00". Good, it was the time he normally woke up. He had already set the clock feature to Hoenn time when on the boat. He stretched and saw that his Pokemon were waking up as well.

As he stood up, he saw that almost all of the beds in his section where filled with men of various origins and ages. Next to him was a man who was about his age, was fairly short and had black hair. On the other side of him was a younger boy with dyed red hair and was sleeping with a ditto.

He carefully walked into the showers at the end of the halls. He quickly washed and came out. A few other people where out and about, but more people where resting. Jonah felt strange with these people sleeping in so late, back in Kanto, everybody got up early and did their chores at this time.

He walked out of the latrine into the main room. He walked over to the food machine and pressed a few buttons. Out popped a few snacks for him and his Pokemon. He walked back to his bed and handed the snacks to the Pokemon. They happily ate untill they finished. The tuna tart he had tried was quite good.

He motioned for his pokemon to follow. They obediently followed intently behind him. He decided to look into some of the other rooms. He exited the quarters and went into the hallway. He turned right and went to the last door on that side of the hall and opened the door.

Inside was a library! It was quite small compared to the other rooms he had been in, besides the interrogation rooms. He supposed the rooms they saw where the biggest and the rest of the the doors led to small rooms with less important parts. . He looked around and saw a librarian by a small desk.

Jonah walked to her and asked, "I'm sorta of new here. Can I help somehow?"

The librarian looked up from her book and smiled before saying, "Yes, can you organize the books. I need to finish this book for a reporting mission on a subject. Thank You!"

Jonah nodded at her and looked at the several book shelves. They were all out of order and crammed into random places. He started on the first shelf, slowly organizing the books by the Dewey decimal system. He would often look at the other books to see if that subject was on another shelf. Eventually, he finished. He looked onto his Pokegear to see it was time to go to the briefing.

He took a seat in the briefing room around the wooden table in the center of the room. A few elder members were also sitting in some of the chairs. Jonah nervously called his Pokemon back as he waited for the others to come.

Blank slept restlessly. He went to bed too early, so he couldn't get back to sleep after about 3:00. He couldn't talk or make noise, for that would disturb the other men in the room. He considered getting up and doing something helpful, but his mind was too out of focus. He let out his Grimer, who knocked Blank out with her foul breath.

Blank awoke later when his PokeNav went off. It was 7:00 already, and arose groggily to see the other men had already left or were about ready to leave. Blank took a quick shower, pulled on his clothes, and left the bunk room. He barely had time to put on his hat before he was shuffled into the briefing room.

He looked apologetically at his Pokemon. It looked they would have to skip breakfast today. Blank and his Pokemon all secretly hoped there would be time to stop at Taco Ludicolo during the mission. He let them stay out in the briefing room in hope of them being able to understand the mission better. However, after some complaints about the smell, Blank withdrew Little Miss Sludge. He didn't want his Grimer to feel less appreciated than Sabre or Weiss, so he withdrew them as well in the name of fairness.

Maeko woke up to the sound of Mac buzzing next to her head and she groggily looked at her Poketch. It read 6:35. Since the bed felt so nice compared to the ground she got use to sleeping on, Maeko decided to continue to sleep but then Alto began to poke her stomach.

"Hey... stop it Alto... I just want to... sleep a bit..." Maeko said pushing Alto away and dug her face into the pillow. It was so soft and warm compared to the lumpy backpack she usually used as her pillow. Which, come to think of it, where was her bag? Oh, it was hanging from the bed frame above her. Huh? There is another bed next to her's...

That was when Maeko remembered that she wasn't sleeping in some sleeping bag and was at a Rebel's Base.

"Ah! I forgot where here at the rebellion," Maeko said quickly sitting up and getting out of bed. She quickly changed into her clothes, which dried up quite nicely, and began to gather all of her stuff into her bag. Once she finished packing, Maeko took a quick look around of everyone that was around her. There were mostly empty beds, most likely because everyone woke up to do their work, but there was a few around minding their own business.

"Morning Aubrey," Maeko smiled at Aubrey who slept in the bed across from hers before she walked towards the bathrooms to fix her hair. Since she was in a new surroundings, Maeko decided to do something different with her hair and decided to tie it in a small bun before letting it loosely fall on her back.

Satisified with her hair, Maeko went over to the vending machines to get something light to eat and also some breakfast for her Pokemon. Once she finished her meal, Maeko leisurely made her way to the briefing room and took a seat next to Jonah.

"Morning," Maeko said politely as she waited to be briefed on whatever mission the Rebellion had for them.

Aubrey let out a slight moan as she heard someone say ‘Morning’. Cracking open a groggy eye, she managed to catch a wisp of blue hair before flipping over any trying to block out the fluorescent lights that shone from above. Beside her, her Pokémon stirred and were woken up as well, though they reacted better in the mornings than their trainer did.

When Maeko had already left the room, her Houndour jumped onto the trainer, causing her to bolt up at the sudden movement. Wagging its tail as it hung off her shoulder, she groaned as a sweet scent filled the air. Looking down at her Chikorita, she smiled tiredly and patted the Pokémon on its leaf, appreciating the aroma it was letting out.

Throwing off her covers, she heard her Ralts give a cheery cry, a good night’s sleep fixing up the psychic type from its last battle. Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she grabbed her bag off the floor unceremoniously and walked over to the washrooms. Quickly fixing up her appearance and taking care of some hygiene, she splashed water onto her face before looking in the mirror.

’I’m in the rebellion. It’s not a joke, not like last time, at least, and it’s really real. I’m really here,’ She though, attitude changing from tired to cheery in almost an instant. Walking back to her bed, she eyed the egg that rested by the side of her pillow. Putting the bag back onto her shoulder, she picked up the spotted sphere and left the dorm room, throwing open the pink door with her Pokémon following right behind.

Out of the people she passed trying to find her way around the base to the briefing room, most gave her an analyzing look while few bothered to even nod her head. Giving a wry smile, Aubrey didn’t expect the other rebels to act any differently. Her Houndour yipped at her feet as it followed her as she kept her eyes open for the cafeteria, hoping to get some food for her Pokémon and a drink for herself. Looking down at the Pokémon, she grinned, and failed to see the door in front of her swing open.

Colliding head on with the heavy wooden entranceway, she let out a sharp cry of pain as she fell to the ground. Her Pokémon crowded around her, the egg had luckily remained intact. Getting up in a sitting position, she felt a hand on her shoulder and looked up to see the blonde woman who had toured them yesterday.

“Oh dear. Are you alright?” She asked, while Aubrey merely nodded her head as the rebellion member helped her up. “I apologize profusely.” Groaning, the black haired trainer opened her mouth to assure that she was alright when the woman cut her off.

“Here. Let me get you something.” Blinking, she rubbed the sore spot on her forehead, hoping that there wasn’t a bruise. Suddenly, a handful of objects were shoved into her arms, almost making her drop the egg she was carrying.

“Digest those and walk. I will take you to the briefing room,” The woman spoke, already walking off while Aubrey woozily followed. Looking at what she had been handed, the packets of Pokémon food and juice bottle made her look at the rebel suspiciously. How had she…?

However, she wasn’t given time to think as the doors to the briefing room swung open. Wincing, she stepped in and noted that she was the last to enter, yet again. As she walked in, she gave a wave to Jonah, Maeko and Blank, sitting next to the latter. Opening the packets, she quickly fed her Pokémon and smiled at the three. Quickly fetching her Pokéballs, she slipped the egg into her bag and withdrew her companions, now opening the drink and nursing it as she eyed the room.

The woman that had led her here had walked off to the side to talk with another man. Taking another sip, she looked at the others, giving them a weary smile. “Did you sleep well?” She asked, surprising herself slightly at the question.

Soon the others trickled in. He smiled as a familiar face came out into the room. It was Mr. Hujia! Mr. Hujia was Mr. Fuji, and Dr. Blaine's brother. He hadn't heard from him in twenty years, he didn't know he was here all this time, they had thought he was lost at sea! This was great news!

Mr. Hujia saw him and smiled as he walked over. He was the man they had been chasing earlier too! It dawned on him when he saw the uniform that was green and white. It was a friend after all. He turned to him and spoke loudly so that he could be heard throughout the room,

"It's been what, twenty-three years sense I saw you?"

"Well, as you did I washed up here in Noverus, but couldn't get word back home because Magma was gaining power over the city. How are my dear Brothers?"

"Dr. Blaine has almost retired, and already has a successor ready. Mr. Fuji is as youthful as when you left, but more importantly......"

He looked around and motioned for him to come closer, "I've been appointed the Gym leader of the Town, there are more than nine badges in most continents now."

Mr. Hujia seemed flabbergasted at this last statement. Lavender Town was a little town when he was last there, over twenty years ago. Now it was a bustling place with a Radio Station that Broadcasted to all of Kanto and far into the ocean and a large Clock tower, in addition to the renovation of the Pokemon tower and the addition of a gym.

He turned to address the entire group, making sure his old voice could be heard across the room,

"My name is Mr. Hujia. I am a Senior member of the members at the base. I can assign you youngins on....What's the word......Oh yes, missions. Jonah knows me from experiences in the past back in his hometown. Well, anyways because of the supplies base on the surface being destroyed, we need some supplies from a small Magma settlement. You new members have been assigned to this task. Remember we are sending other members on similar missions, so if you can't finish the task, don't risk it and come back without being tracked. Most of the Magma grunts have moved away, except for a few newbies who are having trouble getting supplies to the next Magma raid. You plan is obvious. Go now, and have good luck."

Jonah looked at the man as he walked back out, probably to another event. His family was very influential to many people around the world. It was no different here. After this was over he would be back home with his siblings in Lavender town. Jonah stood up and pondered about this as he walked through the meandering hallways that led to the exit.

With longer legs, he got there first and decided to wait for the others to come...

Blank followed Jonah out of the briefing room. He did not recognize the old man, but Jonah seemed to know him. Blank reminded himself to ask about it later. For now, he would have to focus on the mission. He was about to ask Jonah how to get there, then realized he did not know Noverus as well as Blank, who had spent his whole life there.

Blank looked at his Poketch. He watched as a new app downloaded itself. Blank saw it displayed the coordinates of where he had to go. It also told him the quickest and safest route. "Look at this," he said to the three other trainers.

Blank also remembered something else he had to do. He asked if everyone could register themselves onto his Poketch. That way, Blank could contact any of them whenever he pleased. This would be not only convenient, but essential to executing a successful raid against Team Magma.

If it wasn't for the miracles of modern technology, Maeko would have found this mission briefing a bit haphazardly put together. It did only last a few minutes, which involved two older men talking to each other, and there wasn’t any visual props used to explain the mission. Maeko let out a soft sigh as she watched everyone leave the room, she didn’t want to get pushed and squished around by a large crowd, and then walked out of the room to the small group of the people she knew on base.

She of coursed listened to Blank’s suggestion and registered everyone’s information in her Pokétch to make contacting them easier. After she registered everyone, Maeko looked at the locations and immediately began to mark various routes that she thought would be useful if anything had happened. Once she was done with everything she could think of, Maeko sent her information on the routes to everyone in the group and then let Virus back into her Pokétch.

“You know what to do Virus, just remember the signals I told you to give when navigating through the routes,” Maeko told her friend.

"So," Maeko said turning to look at everyone, "I'm ready to go at any time. I'll be waiting for you at the entrance."

With that she began to walk towards the spot where they'll begin their mission.

Aubrey shifted in her seat, mostly out of nerves, but there was a little bit of her nagging at the back of her mind, wondering if she was even ready for everything that the Rebellion had in store for her. Looking over Maeko, Blank and then Jonah, she noted with a jolt in her seat that an old man had appeared to start chatting up with the one who had dragged them all together in the first place.

Fidgeting, there wasn't much to do than wait for the mission to be announced. Picking up the egg at her bag, she tapped its exterior with a slight look of distaste.

'Come to think of it…I really don't know why I brought this along with me in the first place. I won't even know what hatches from it until too late, you know?' She thought to herself just as an old man's voice echoed through the room. Almost dropping the egg, she caught it just in time and placed it on the ground in her bag, listening to the mission with a apprehensive look on her face.

"Ah, but-" She spoke after the man finished, hoping to get to ask a few questions but failing miserably on that part. After he had finished talking, he left the room in quite a hurry, followed by her fellow new rebellion members in a slightly slower pace. Jonah then Blank then Maeko. Did she always have to be last?

Dragging herself to the exit through the halls, she managed to catch up moments before Blank proposed his idea to the group. Nodding her head, she added in the other three trainers into her Poketch, fetching the device from her side pocket. No later than she had finished, she already received information from Maeko concerning routes they could take and the location, both of which were very useful. Before she could thank the smaller girl, she had announced that she would go ahead, and was already taking her small body to the settlement where they would start.

Holding back a sigh, she slung her bag properly over her shoulder and turned to the two remaining males. "Well, why don't we catch up to Maeko and head over? We could always go over how we want to do this and fill her in later, if that's alright," She spoke, butterflies in her stomach already.

Jonah heard his Pokegear set off and start to download information wirelessly. He turned to Blank, who was registering the others on his Poketch. He quickly came up and added his info after Maeko, and did the same with Maeko and Aubrey. He turned the dial on the one end of his Pokegear to focus in on the update sent through the air. It was simply amazing that they could transfer info through the air, to shorten briefing time!

He fiddled with a few switches, and started to feel guilty that they where part of the fall of the supply center. It was pretty sad. Boy! If this failed he would be a failure for the first time in his life, but if he succeeded, he would continue to be a great hero. So much was at stake for him and his Pokemon…

As he looked at the others he motioned for them to go, and they went to the entrance. Jonah pushed the button that apparently let a tube come down from the ceiling to let them breathe, according to a rumor he heard from some rebellion members talking.

As the door opened and he stepped inside the tube, he realized that the tube was moving at a faster rate than he expected, he had to walk quickly, even with his long legs. He hoped Maeko, who as being younger, had shorter legs.

In no time at all, they were all out into the horrible smelling building. Jonah forgot about the stench and closed his nose with his hands. He quickly got out of the door, into the alley, full of trash. As soon as he got out of the stinky alley, he looked down at his map and began to study the buildings to help him navigate.

Soon they were there and a few grunts in red where hanging out trying to do some work. Jonah Looked at the others and asked,

“Is everybody ready? This might not be easy!”

Blank left the base while being contained ion some strange tube. It was full of fresh air, and made it all the more disturbing when he was exposed once again to the wretched air outside. He left the alley as quickly as possible, and followed Jonah to the building where a few Magma grunts were loitering. Jonah looked at him and asked:

“Is everybody ready? This might not be easy!”

Blank was born ready for this. His first chance at getting back at Team Magma for wrecking his life. He targeted the grunt with only one Pokeball tied to his hip. Blank sent out his Sableye, and it used Scratch on the Team Magma grunt before he could bring out his Pokemon. Unfortunately, Scratch caused the Pokeball to come loose, and out came an angry-looking Carvanha.

Sabre's initial attack had left the trainer sprawling in pain, and the Carvanha was thrashing wildly. Having no direction from the grunt meant it could rampage and do a lot of damage in the process. Sabre and the Carvanha struggled, and Sabre did enough to prevent it from hurting anyone else. Eventually, the Carvanha was withdrawn by the now-recovering trainer.

Seeing as he would not do any better than a stalemate if he re-summoned his sole Pokemon, the Magma grunt went for his walkie-talkie. Blank knew that if he reported the rebel's attack, reinforcements would come and the mission would be blown. Blank grabbed the walkie-talkie from his hand, and threw it into a nearby dumpster.

Blank shouted, "Don't let them report! Take their electronic equipment at all costs!"

The Team Magma grunt used this distraction to aim a punch at Blank's head. Blank reacted just in time, grabbing the man's fist. He was a short man, not that hard to pick up, Blank realized. Using every ounce of his strength, he lifted his opponent. The grunt followed his walkie-talkie into the dumpster. The lid then shut with finality.

BLank shot off at a Magma grunt, Jonah was surprised that the youngster was so strong! Jonah turned to see another Magma grunt with three Kecleons surrounding him. He had a phone coming up to his face Jonah shouted,

"Hibiscus! Vine Whip the Phone!"

A green vine flung through the air and initiated a tug of war in between her and the grunt. Jonah hoped this could buy him enough time to take care of the Kecleons. They change their strengths depending on what attacks hit them so if he switched the pokemon who was attacking...

"Limao! Attack the first Kecleon then the second, then the third with Bubble Beam and repeat. Abbey! Razor leaf the Kecleon that Limao Bubble Beamed. Ember! Flamethrower on the Pokemon that just got hit with the leaves."

The Kecleons were sending elemental attacks straight at them when the Pokemon initiated the maneuver. Ice hit Limao, Fire Abbey, and Ember, Water. They barely were able to finish the counter attack. The three beams of the elements started to increase as Jonah started to apply the potions on them. He was really frightened that they could pass out, failing to realize that Hibiscus was loosing.

Hibiscus flew right over Jonah's head as the man with the phone was swinging his arm around. Jonah quickly jumped up when the poor Chikorita thwumped heavily into his hands. Jonah yalped as it fell into his hands. He quickly and lovingly cradled the Pokemonb on his arms, before shaking wildly above his head to get pull the phone away. The man, unexpecting of the counter dropped the phone, and it smashed on the floor. The man then turned around to see his Pokemon beat up. He quickly withdrew his fainted Pokemon and ran.

Jonah smiled, his job was going well. He looked over to the truck that was housing the supplies, the final grunt was almost done loading the truck! They had to stop him. "Get the last Grunt!"

((Look, I’m really sorry for not being more active. I can’t actually think of any other way to express how bad I feel. I’m not dropping this RP, and I hope that you aren’t’ as well.
Again, I’m really sorry. pinch.gif))

Aubrey’s felt like she could drink an ocean and still be unable from wetting her mouth, which was dry from how nervous she felt as she followed Jonah and the others towards the entrance, the elder man already taking the lead in the mission. In less than 24 hours, she had gone from investigating a warehouse to becoming a Rebellion member to going on her first mission. Everything seemed to be blurred as she tried to keep up and watch the others for cues of what to do.

Even Maeko seemed more confident in herself than the dark haired trainer, causing her to let out a slight sigh in defeat. It was bad enough that someone two years her junior was having an easier time doing this - she doubted things could get any worse.

But things always proved to be able to around her. Jumping slightly as a strange tube encased the group, she noticed, just as she surmised Jonah did due to his quickened pace, that the tube moved at a quicker speed than she expected. She had started off slowly, only to later figure out that she would have to move faster in order to keep up with the strange contraption.

It figured, however, that her legs decided not to cooperate. She wasn’t exactly sure, but she somehow managed to fall behind the tube and be left in the hair curling stench that the building seemed to be abundant in. Yelping, her hands clasped her face in a futile attempt to try and smother the smell and catch up to the breathing tube the rest of the group was travelling in.

Holding her breath, she ran as quickly as she could, not really caring that yes, she looked dumb and that yes, she could have sent out her Chikorita to dissipate the smell but no, she didn’t’ have the heart.

However, even though she managed to cross the rest of the building’s floor in one breath, the others still probably unaware of the fact that yet again, she was the last of the group to arrive, there was still an alleyway that separated her from the godly thing we call fresh air.

Groaning, she forced herself to take the horrid smell and suck in a deep breath, ignoring the fact that the atmosphere of the alley was most likely the filthiest thing she would ever end up breathing.

’I swear for the love of Arceus, I will convert if I make it through this corridor of hell alive,’ She prayed, lungs threatening to burst as her hands disallowed for any chance of air escaping from her mouth. [i]’If he has pity on me, then he will let me live. If he loves me, then my lungs will not be permanently scarred. If he…’[/s]

This process continued until Aubrey finally made her way out of the dark passageway, breathing in as much as air possible while spotting the others already following a map straight ahead. Bolting to catch up, she arrived a few steps after, only to see Blank throw a Grunt into a dumpster, blinking at the sight. However, when Jonah pointed out the last one, she looked around frantically to find him.

Seeing him by the side of the truck, she immediately sent out her Houndour to block his path. As the fire type growled, the man let out his own pokémon as well, annoyance written all over his face.

“Come on, Chimchar!” A red light shined from the pokéball in his hands until the pokémon was on the field. Catching up to grunt, she shouted out a command for it while she was still running.

“Houndour! Use Leer!” In an almost comical sense, the fire type dashed up and neared his opponent, shooting a piercing glare at the pokémon as it ran past. Jolting back, the Chimchar faltered and opened itself up for another attack.

“Um, now use Ember!” She shouted, hesitating slightly, while her Houndour was much more enthusiastic to spray the monkey with flames. However, to her dismay, the Chimchar was barely fazed by the attack, causing the girl to falter slightly. The chimp then lunged at her pokémon, latching its body over his eyes. Whining, it started to run in circles while the fire type scratched away.

Panicking slightly, she tried to think of a way to shake off the pokémon before calling out another command. Just as her Houndour was turning another corner, she had an idea as he was about to face the wall.

“Houndour! Run straight right…now!” Following her command, the pokémon head butted the Chimichar into the wall, effectively knocking it out at the same time. As the pokémon fell to the floor, the grunt let out an aggravated sound before sending out his two remaining pokémon.

The black hair trainer faltered as she was faced with a Machop and Nuzleaf, but managed to send out her own Chikorita to ward off the second pokémon. As the grass type was just coming out of its pokeball, her Houndour was already scorching the Nuzleaf, causing the grass type to try and run from the relentless pokémon.

Just as the grunt was going to call out an attack for his Machop to use, Aubrey beat him to the chase. “Chikorita, tackle!” She cried as the smaller pokémon threw itself onto her opponent. Knocking the fighting type back, the grass type let out a small victory cheer and started to dance while the Machop quickly recovered and picked the Chikorita up by its back. Squealing, it tried to free itself from the Pokémon’s grasp, while Aubrey groaned as she watched on.

“Chikorita! You have to stop doing that!” She moaned as the pokémon struggled, its whole body flailing around. Just as the grunt and his pokémon were getting cocky, the grass type’s leaf swung hard and hit the Machop over the head, blinding it and knocking it back at the same time. Just as it was recovering, the Chikorita let out a quick growl and tackled yet again, sending the fighting type sprawling back into its trainer and bowling over the two. The dark haired girl let out a small victory cry when she saw that the man and his pokémon failed to get back up.

“I-I got him!” Aubrey cried out excitedly, turning back to the rest of the group. A feeling of pride washed through her as she waited for a response. Her pokémon were at her feet, her Houndour trotting over with a triumphant look on its face after taking care of the grunt’s last pokémon.

Blank saw two petite women dressed in Magma outfits reaching into a small space and pulling out boxes of supplies. Blank saw that he could carry all of what the two women had between them. He approached them, motioning for Sabre to attack. One woman dropped her boxes and sent out a Jigglypuff. The two Pokemon engaged.

Sabre tried furiously to scratch the Jigglypuff into submission. However, he grew tired quickly due to his foe's incessant singing. Before the task was complete, the Sableye released its grip and fell asleep. Blank immediately switched Sabre out in favor of his Grimer. Little Miss Sludge poisoned the Jigglypuff, and that combined with the fatigue caused the Pokemon to faint.

Next, she sent out a Piplup. Little Miss Sludge aimed a disgusting ball of ooze towards it. Then, to Blank's surprise, the Grimer sent it flying into the Grunt who had not brought out any Pokemon. Her clothes covered in the ghastly substance, so she shrieked with horror. She dropped her boxes and complained about how many showers she would have to take to get the stench off of herself and how many times she would have to wash her clothing.

The other grunt rolled her eyes and ordered her Piplup to clean her comrade off with Water Gun. Instead of thanking her, the now-soaking lady started shouting at the perfectly clean trainer. The two had an argument that became increasingly heated, and they began to yell directly into the other's face.

Meanwhile, Blank returned his Grimer to her Pokeball and picked the boxes up. He made off back towards the base with his arms full of boxes. Nobody noticed, not even the Piplup that was supposed to be fighting him. It simply lolled about stupidly while its trainer bickered with her teammate. Blank was the first in his group to successfully complete the mission. After giving the supplies to some technicians, he patiently waited for Jonah, Maeko, and Aubrey to return.

Awsome

Runi adeptly finished off the truck grunt while Jonah attended to his weakened Pokemon. When it was all said and done, Blank was nowhere to be found. He had probably went ahead of them. He was almost definitely a loner at heart. Jonah had a feeling that they all were going to be scolded for various reasons, not just Blank. Of course, they were newbies so it would be understandable, even if he was a gym leader back at home...

He stood up and went over to the truck. It seemed fairly simple to use, but when he turned the key it stalled. Smoke started to rise from the engine. Jonah jumped out of the car to see that part of his attack had been redirected at the engine. It was not going to move.

"Maeko, Runi, it looks like we'll have to carry it all by hand!"

Jonah went to the back and gave each of his Pokemon a parcel to carry and took several himself. He headed off down the route back to the base. When Jonah got to the base he saw Blank standing there. He came over, parcels and all and dropped them on the table.

"Where were you? Why did you leave without us?""

Blank nervously shuffled when the other three members of his team came running towards him. He knew what was coming, thus he was not surprised when Jonah dropped his parcels on a large table and asked, "Where were you? Why did you leave without us?"

Blank knew that living on the streets gave him habits that he may never shed. He simply muttered, "Fight or flight mentality, I guess."

He then looked around as other Rebels were coming back in from various missions. He silently chastised himself as almost everyone he saw was returning with their assigned team. He stood silently with his hands in his pockets until the supplies they had collected was taken by Rebellion workers. Blank then waited for some sort of debriefing, so he could get something to eat. He was starving and had disobeyed orders, but at least he had finally done a small bit of revenge against Team Magma.

Jonah listened to the response, he wondered if many thought like this. Soon a higher up member took each of them to a different chamber. Jonah felt bad. He was like the head of the mission and he had let it go unorganized. He knew he would be scolded. The man smiled as he explained just as he thought he would be scolded on. Then, he pointed out the positive. He had completed the mission so it was all good in the end. Jonah smiled it wouldn't be to hard to make a name in this crippled city....
