My overall favourite strategy game would have to be Halo Wars for the Xbox 360, I love using ODSTs to rush the enemies in combat Although I end up getting rushed at the beginning of the game.
What is your favourite strategy game? |

I like Fire Emblem, but Madden is a pretty good strategy game if you're up against a good player.

Never played Halo Wars. To be honest I'm not really in to strategy games, but I think I've played Bloons TD before(that is a strategy game, right?).

Other than Pokémon? Hmm. Either Bejewelled or HOARD. I'd mention Ni No Kuni too but I think that's more of a JRPG.

I dunno if this is counting RTSes, but me and my friends have had tons of fun playing Supreme Commander 2. Rounds on x2 speed last just long enough to not get boring, and with enough people (we usually have no less than four), and the amount of variety (we also have the game modded a bit), matches can be incredible. In one round, one of us had launched four waves of twenty nukes consecutively, which had both been hype as hell and terrifying for those unaffected. To put that in perspective, a standard antinuclear facility holds 10 antinukes, and you usually shouldn't ever have to expect more than 20 nukes at once. The target *did not* survive.
In another round, another player had built an impenetrable fortress of shields and turrets. He had no units to directly combat mine -- just simply an incredible number of turrets. The shields, however, run on energy, which he had a limited supply of, causing short 'power outages' every so often that were my only window of attack. It ended up taking about 15 minutes to get through and destroy his base and it was a helluva time. Another game we've picked up recently is "Star Wars: Empire at War". We're all (mostly) hugely into Star Wars, and the sheer number of mods in this game has made for a good time. The main problem with this is that it really only has short, fifteen to thirty minute land/space battles with up to eight players, or an incredibly long (I'm talking potentially up to ten hours) two player campaign. It's still tons of fun, though. -------------------- "Find something to believe in, and find it for yourself.
