Just checking the viability and interest in this idea. Has there ever been a group formed around odd incense and, if there was, was it sustainable? I could understand if it happened once a long time ago and just never resurrected or something similar.

Here is the main idea:
Becoming an organization that signs on at expected times of the day to manually turn on their odd incense and go around odd incensing Pokémon they've already interacted with. This allows the citizens of GPX to make sure the Pokémon they want interacted with again is in their party at that time, or to start explo at times they know their Pokémon could get interacted with again.

We could even do three subteams. The Morning Bird (begin incensing at 9 am EST), Noon Ninjas (begin incensing at 12 pm est), and Night Owls (begin incensing at 10 pm EST, giving 1 hr and 50ish mins before reset). The names of these subteams are merely suggestions to demonstrate different times to do shifts, especially since not everyone lives in EST and is American. Maybe include a fourth shift, for the hours between reset and 9 am.

Name suggestions: [Name suggestions welcome]
Smelly Society
Odd Incense Knights
Fragrance Squad
Scent of Success Foundation

Leadership suggestions: [Leadership suggestions welcome]
1) Someone who loves the odd incense feature.
2) Has the time and ability to check applications, rally up the group, etc.
3) Should be a team leader and two supporting folks. Anyone interested?

Membership suggestions: [Membership suggestions welcome]
1) Must have Odd Incense.
2) Must be willing to take on a shift of odd incensing.
3) Must be willing to do at least more than 300+ Pokémon for one Odd Incense session.
4) Must be conscientious of proper berry interactions.

Enticements/Group Info Suggestions: [For intro forum post or something like that. Open to suggestions]
1) "Are you obsessed with proper berry interactions? Do you long for a group of people to crusade through the user lists with odd incense wafting about and happy Pokémon left in your wake? This group is for you." Lol.

I realize this probably should have been in the SUGGESTIONS forum. The reason I selected a general discussion forum was because it wasn't a specific gpx feature proposal, only a sort of fan group/community help group idea to bounce off of other members and see if there was any viability. It's totally open to everyone else and something that can be "hatched" out before submitting to the gpx groups and armies list.

This is a really cool idea - thank you for sharing! I think three groups is fine - if GPX is underrepresented in certain time zones that also means there will be less people available to use the odd incense at a certain time. I think it'd be fun if all the groups were named after birds but I'm not knowledgeable enough to think of a good one for the noon group - Dayhawks? Daybirds? I hope there's enough interest - I will share this in the Discord.

Edit - I also think this is the appropriate forum - I think the 'Suggestions' forum is more for site suggestions and things you'd want the staff to implement.

I definitely think a 4th shift could be added - I for one live in PST and am rarely available at the same hours as the EST hours. Whenever I'm online to click people, there's not a lot of active users. Good idea overall.

Hm... I'd be interested but I don't think I could participate. I'm living in the CE(S)T time zone, so my 6 AM is the East Coast's midnight. I'm also working over the day so I wouldn't be able to make any time frame.

I'm also using the mobile site mainly (I'm online through a smartphone & I don't have any PC or laptop) so there's never much to click for me anyway.

Thanks so much! Man, I haven't logged into Discord in forever. Yeah, I think running with the bird idea might be amazing, since birds are more closely tied to time metaphors and symbolisms, as well as knowledge and wisdom.

I'm a night owl, personally, and definitely have noticed less people throughout 1 am EST and on. I also do think that 4th shift would be a worthy time and might interest more people.

Part of why I'm leaving the votes of main leader up to someone else. I'm busy most of the day and on my phone unless it's the weekend, then I have more access to PC. But I can still run as a "mod" or support staff for sure, and as an Odd Incense team member.
