Forum rules updated., About 'click my eggs' posts |

The forum rules have been updated. Under the "Spamming" section, I have added this:
QUOTE Asking people to click your GPXPlus eggs/Pokémon or other site adoptables shall also be considered spamming and will be given an instant 10% warning as well as an automatic 2-day suspension on both GTSPlus and GPXPlus. Read this for other guidelines. We're getting tired of people assuming this entire forum is dedicated to GPXPlus and posting in sections outside of the GPXPlus discussion and adding things to the end of their posts saying to click their eggs. We're also tired of all the spam threads that pop up in the GPXPlus discussion section. We may also apply this rule to other spammy threads/posts that are pointed out in the 'Read this for other guidelines' link in the new rules. Yes, if you are suspended on these forums, your GPXPlus account is automatically suspended as well. If new members are too dumb to read the rules beforehand, then they will just have to wait out their suspension and learn the rules. By the way, I should mention that if you ever get completely banned here, all of your GPXPlus Pokémon will be sent to the shelter and your account there deleted.

K guys, no need to reply to that spam post with more spam. I believe they learned their lesson now; Wymsy suspended them for 2 days just as I said we would.

Whether or not it was a joke, it was hilarious in a sad sort of way. (Like a person posting "I agree" in response to a post stating two word posts are spam...) Good rule addition, though. Clickspam gets terribly annoying, especially for the ones who have to deal with it. --------------------   |

w8... im confused. on GPXplus.net it says this:

I hope I understood that right myself:
clicks from forum DO count, as do clicks from the profile if you send somebody the link. What doesn't count are VIEWS - if somebody just viewed your profile without clicking anything it doesn't count. (in contrary to dragon cave, where it does). To get views you need to post your party code into your signature (or other places that allow that) - then, even if a person doesn't click your egg you'll get view for it (that's why people have eggs in their siggies and not links to their profiles). Yeah, it basically means that you don't get views if they click them directly off of GPX+, they have to be linked from another site/forum, like here. In your sig

You can keep your eggs in your sig, that's fine. Just don't go making posts or threads asking people to click them. That's what we have a problem with.
Also, what that message about not gaining views means is that by viewing your profile and stuff on GPXPlus, you won't gain views. The forums here, however, are fine, as are just about any other external web page. -------------------- "Java is to JavaScript as ham is to hamster."    |
