Question: Why /must/ the nicknamed pokemon be in said user's party? I mean...isn't this group about nicknaming pokemon in general it's called nicknamers united...not keep pokemon in your party united...why must there be a party mascot for the most part involved. There are many people who love to nickname pokemon but fill up their party with eggs for the most part...like me..and I know there's others besides me...whether they'd join a group or not is beside me but that's besides the point xD;

I nickname all of my shinies and legendaries..or rather I plan to nickname them all..I haven't quit finished nicknaming them yet...I need to think of names for some still...

bvt yeah....back to my original question. I don't get why the pokemon must in in one's party...is it to limit who joins or something? O.o It just seems pointless to me....

If I can't join..that's fine...I'm just curious to the reasoning is all *shrugs*

@Cupcaeks: Well, when I need a nickname I tend to use names from mythology that are somehow linked to either the type of pokemon..or their "personality" (whether one means their "nature" or perhaps a personality you made up for them). Right now the only mythological name coming to mind is Poseidon...though I know there's a ton of other's just a website away *cough*wikipedia*cough*...or..maybe you like fantasy names? Or sometime if you like giving pokemon people names, you can glance around baby name sites. Sorry for the wall of text..I'm a "hardcore" namer who puts wayyy too much thought into things. xD

Snivy - Snape (if you like Harry Potter..I don't..lol), Sniffelump (Winnie the Pooh anyone?), Sarcasma (if female)..Smirk..Smirky...

Shimama - YO MAMA..Lightning...Zeus...Thundra..

I can't think of any for the others at the top of my head....nothing really strikes out to me about them as of yet..I only said stuff for Shimama because of the beginning joke, haha.

Well, other contests have had summoning items as a prize..BUT..the chances of the winner actually getting the summoning item sold for them is slim due to the fact sold items appear randomly in the next 24 hours (or so I've heard).

Other's have offered breeding...like..they'd breed the winner a novelty or something..again...the chances of the winner getting the bred egg or dropped bred pokemon is limited..but not as bad of a chance as summoning items (I seriously don't know why people even offer summoning items as a prize).

The most popular prize is made by the artistically inclined..lol..in short, the winner is presented a pixelated trophy of sorts made by someone (usually a golden recolour of a pokemon or something).

I would offer to make a pixelated trophy, but I'm rubbish with pixels xD. I guess I could probably do a golden recolour one...but it would take awhile...since I'm a bit of a perfectionist.

and I could make a silver and bronze one for 2nd and 3rd place. But I'd need at least until the new year to make them..if you take up my offer.
