Currently, I have done only 100 soft-resets, and still no Shiny Giratina. But I have a question, can I save after the "Giratina is quietly eyeing _______"? By what I've seen in videos, the overworld Giratina never appears as shiny, and you only see if it is shiny one you start battling it.
Currently I have my game saved one step away of the last floor in which when you step, Giratina comes for precautions, but it takes some time to soft-reset, give one step, wait for Giratina to come, click A for the boring text to go away, click A to talk to Giratina, and click A again to begin the battle. So, I just wanna know for sure if I can save in front of Giratina. That would save me alot of trouble, and all I'd have to do is keeping to press A until I start battling it and then do R+L+Start+Select to soft-reset. |

You can save right in front of him. I've done it. I tried getting a shiny Giratina, but I gave up after an hour.

But if you didn't actually get it, how can you be sure it'll work?
What if I save it in front of Giratina and loose time for nothing Better to risk it, it'll be less time lost if I actually get it... and all signs point to yes soooo... Thanks, I'll save it in front of Giratina! |

Overworld sprites are never shiny, so it should be possible to get one that way.
But yeah the chances are VERY slim, so prepare for lots of soft-resetting. (I gave up on soft-resetting for a female starter in Ruby... of course after getting male Mudkips and Treeckos I suddenly got a female Torchick on my first try:3) -------------------- Uxie Anitarig Daisuke Weasley Sceptile Rika |
