I'm having problems with connecting to people through wifi. Every time we try to converse and trade it kicks one of us and says we failed to respond. Then we get the error code 86420. I have soul silver and this is the version it is doing it on. I tried getting rid of my firewall for my wireless signal but the wifi is community access and they changed their username and password for the login, thus I can't access security settings that way. Btw GTS works fine, just not friend codes.

Please help if you know what's wrong or how to fix it! Thanks for your time and consideration.

Trouble connecting to a friend?
If the above steps have not resolved the issue and you are trying to connect with specific friends, the problem could potentially be an issue on your friend's network. Your friend will have to perform these troubleshooting steps with their home network.
So...that's that.
