Well, I figured i might drop by now....

As the young trainer walked through the shimmering gates he was awestruck. Never had he seen such beauty. It was the place he longed to be for most of his pokemon career, and he was finally here. Though, not to apply, but to challenge, for he knew the key to success was to start where he was most familiar, in his grass type ecosystem. After what seemed like hours in the fair garden he came across a trainer, staring at his reflection in the pure waterfall. The trainer's eyes soon met, and the trainer, so happy to be there stated, "shall we begin?"

Knil returned his Tangrowth to his ball. He was slightly upset, but pretty much overjoyed. He bid Narcissus farewell and walked off smiling, glad he was able to visit the notorious maze and get his chance at the grass badge. He will remember the brilliant strategy, and be sure to remember it in the next battle.

[Living Arrow]

David watched the challenger appear in the gym, weaving through the vegetation with wide-eyes. She seemed so innocent that he almost felt guilty for what he was about to do.
*No badges?* He mused silently from his perch atop the rocky waterfall. He announced his presence and halted the girl in her trakcs. She gazed up at him in awe, still in shock from the utter lusciousness of her surroundings. That expression soon turned to a stern forwn of concentration as both trainers released their Pokemon and the battle began.

"Return, Nelumbo!" David recalled the Ludicolo from its position within the plunge pool of the waterfall and gave a chuckle. "That was a good battle - nice to see so many grass types on my field. One thing to remember - take note of type adantages and you'll go far... Maybe so far as to beat me."
The girl sadly recalled her fallen Tangrowth from atop the rocks nearby and bowed towards the Vain Narcissus, offering her thanks for the battle before slowly making her way out of the gym.

"You may return after three days!" David called after her as she disappeared from view behind the myriad of leaves within the gym. With a sigh, David Narcissus sat back atop the waterfall, holding the white flower back to his nose and daydreaming the afternoon away.

Thanks for the match, Knil. You may try again from Friday evening but I may not be able to battle until Monday.

I know this is a double post, but I felt I should give an extra one for clarity's sake.

"Is this some sort of joke?" The Rose had gone, lost among the flowers of the arboretum. The Trainer had left in a huff, taking his frustrations out on an unfortunate petunia that had dared to step in the mighty redhead's path. Calling again upon his thunder bird, the Trainer took to the air, attempting to clear his thoughts. At length, a nap, and a dangerous amount of those little caramel chewy things, he signaled for the bird to land.

The bird called shoe landed, needlessly spiky wings folding to allow the Trainer easy dismounting. Gazing upon the waterfall for a moment, he thought to get a drink. Knelt before the pool-

A crunch not done by triple toed feet. The Luxury Ball was out and pointed before he finished his sip. "Fresh. Just the way I like it." He turned. "Ah, the Vain one himself. I did hope you'd be in. I always figured I was handsome, but I never really got anyone to compare to. Well, the Vain Narcissus versus the Wandering Trainer. Hold back one, right?" He nodded at the bird. "Hold back, Zapato."

"C'mon already. Or are you afraid of mussin' up your hair?"

The Vain Narcissus swept his arm around to recall Gekkon and bow his head in defeat. A pitiful loss but at least his Pokemon weren't as ugly as the challenger's.

"Well done, trainer." David said, returning to his seat atop the waterfall. "The path you seek is through the cave under the waterfall. Follow it through to the other side and turn left at the red roses. There, you shall find the Leader."

A narcissus was pressed to David's nose once more at the challenger followed his directions towards his final battle.

A long wait ensued before a trainer came swooping around his waterfall battlefield upon a mighty electrical avian that made David's skin tingle with anticipation. He almost felt in awe of the trainer until he opened his mouth and began spouting foul sugestions of comparison between them both.

"Puh-lease," David snorted while looking the newcomer up and down with an appraising eye, "you are so far from handsome that we can't be compared."

He stood slowly from his seated position and yawned. Vanity sure was tiring! With a reluctant shrug, the Vain Narcissus hooked on his Pokeball belt and pointed at his head.
"UltraClutch Hairspray. It won't get mussed... unlike your Pokemon. 5 Pokeballs, no time limit!" He announced that last with a flourish of a ball and set it spinning into the waterfall arena.

He held out his pokeball and called Purity back inside it as he watched Gekkon fall. "Sorry, but beauty only gets you so far", he says as he starts heading down the path given to him. As he walks down the path, he comes across a large waterfall. "Hmmm...he said it was through here", he says as he crosses through the waterfall and enters the cave.

Before he exits the cave. He lets his pokemon get a quick rest, making sure they are ready for what awaits them. After about an hour, he gets up and exits the cave, only to see a field of red roses. After taking in the sights and scents of the lovely garden, he takes the left turn at the roses which leads him down a long path.

At the end of the long path, he sees a person awaiting his arrival. "So you are the Leader..", he says as he grabs a pokeball, readying his pokemon for a tough battle. "Bring it on"

UPDATE

I am going to go ahead and put a hold on all challenges for the time being. I am making serious changes to the current gym roster that should be finished in about a week (maybe less).

Challengers may still challenge Living Arrow, as his Team is perfectly functional (to my knowledge).

Don't worry, I'm still and will always be here
