I'm surely we have this instances when we look at eggs before clicking them. This happens the most when we're at the shelter, looking for certain eggs too.
Which egg (before you've seen its description or if the description doesnt help, the parents of the Pokemon, or ask anyone for help) have you mistaken for another Pokemon? Mine are: I thought the Chimchar egg was a Wurmple egg, the Bellsprout egg being a Weedle egg... Also when I first joined here, I thought the Slowpoke egg was a Skitty egg, and that the Slugma egg was a Torchic egg. Well, I'd love to hear your stories guys... xD; Oh this topic can be closed in case something like this is found, but I can't seem to find anything in the page... so... -------------------- Dragon Cave | My Livejournal | Last.FM Credit for Fanarts in Avatar* | DeviantART | Alert; Obsessions *Link is NSFW, Banner is done by me |

Ahh, one time I clicked a Murkrow egg mistaking it for a Munchlax. Then another time I got a Duduo egg cuz I thought it was a shiny Kubuto since the coloring was lighter hah

I mistook a Slowpoke for a Skitty too... and a Skorupi for a Shuppet, an Exeggcute for an Igglybuff, a Cleffa for an Igglybuff and a Tyrouge for a Ditto... I guess I'm not all that good at guessing. XD

I once mistaken a Horsea egg for a Seel when I claimed it, but when it turns out to be Horsea... (checked at "Identify your egg thread), I thought, Horseas are still cute, I'll keep it
At least I found a real Seel egg already EDIT: One more, I thought my Aron egg was a Skarmory... (meh, lab crisis) This post has been edited by Candy Water: May 1 2009, 03:00 AM -------------------- |

I almost forgot... Before looking at the descriptions and the parents, I thought the Surskit egg was a Machop egg... and that egg that looks like a Surskit egg, yeah, I mistaken it for a Surskit when it turned out to be a Mareep. Oh wow... xD;

The only one I can think-of off the top of my head is my Phanpy which I thought would be a Porygon.
For that matter; it's the same story with Clampearl. I hatched them anyway...but I still await that elusive Porygon~ -------------------- |

Some of them really are too similar I'm still learning, really as some are obvious while others aren't. It took me forever to think what I had previously thought was Charmander is actually Vulpix. *laaaaame~*

I mistook a Cyndaquil egg for a Wailmer. I was pretty pleased with that mix-up, though.
I also mistook a Tyrogue egg for a Ditto in the lab. I wanted it to be a ditto so badly. 'Twas a little disappointed at what popped out, but by no means heartbroken. -------------------- |

For the longest time I thought Bellsprout was Weedle, and I kept wondering why I couldn't find any Bellsprouts...

I mistook the Numel description for a grass type, and Mime Jr. description for a Porygon. Gah.

When I first joined I picked up a spearow egg... I went to the egg identificatin thread but instead of posting the egg I decided to browse through the previous posts, so I could find my egg and learn about other ones.
Spearow eggs and diglett eggs look almost exactly the same, so when someone posted a diglett, I thought my egg was also a diglett. I was really surprised when it wasn't. xP. (Spearow egg: Diglett egg: ) I also thought a gligar was a skorupi, and I briefly thought starly was a darkrai... xD. This post has been edited by Tangy: May 1 2009, 02:09 PM |

The only one I can remember off-hand is the Bellsprout/Weedle one, although there's been a ton of other goofs on my part.

These were all based on Lab descriptions:
- Thought a Duskull was a Cubone. - Thought a Sunkern was an Elekid. - Thought a Glameow was a Dratini. - Thought a Shellder was an Aerodactyl. It's all become a lot easier since the description updates, though. -------------------- |
