[Maizono]

You are a Gijinka, a being that is half human and half Pokémon. Not being able to fit into one world, or the other. And beings like you, seemingly outcasts, gather together at the large, old building you see in front of you; Gijinka Academy.

At Gijinka Academy and its surrounding territories, Gijinkas of all kinds are welcome to live, learn, and play out their lives in a world of people just like them. By many of their sides are PokéPets, Pokémon that have bonded with a Gijinka and accept them for you they are, a companion. Though in its name is the word “academy,” the school is not simply a place to learn, but a place to find a family, and a world in which you belong in.

Will you approach the looming doors, and join your kin?

2. PokéPets are special companions, and therefore each character may only have one.

Personality: Wendy is stone cold. She generally prefers to put on a uncaring attitude to hide her shyness. She mostly refuses to talk to people, and finds it tedious most of the time.
Appearance: Wendy is about 6', she likes to think herself average height. Her hair is tied in a tall bun, being a sharp red color. The wings of a Flygon stretch across her back, but she wishes she was just normal. She wears a long-sleeved jacket, and red gloves near her wrists. She wears a short red skirt, stretching just above her knees, and long red stockings. She wears simple red flip-flops. She also has a long tail, which stretches as long as 4 feet.

Personality: Draforin is, unlike her Pokemon half, a nice and kind-hearted person. Being hated and hurt by humans, Pokemon, and even some gijinkas, a shell of untrust has encased her, leaving her outwards personality cold and lonerish. She doesn't really hate people, she just doesn't get too attached. If you can manage to crack her outwards personality and reveal her inner one, she is loyal and willing to stand up for you, even at the threat of her own feelings or body.
Appearance: This is the image I used as a base.

Draforin is about 4' 10", generally short in comparison to others around her. She wears a off-yellow longsleeve shirt with black arrows at the ends, and black pants that turn the same shade of yellow near the bottom and reach her ankles. Her shoes are the classic kid's dress shoes with the strap across the middle, but she always wears off-yellow socks underneath them. Her hair is a grayish-black, put in a high ponytail that extends to her shoulders and parts in the middle. The rest of her hair hangs straight down like earmuffs on an earmuff hat, except they aren't, you know, earmuffs. Her eyes are a penetrating red, which are often glaring but soften if you get to know her. Not suntanning, but burning under sunlight, her skin is a light, light shade of tan.

Personality: Celia is usually a cheerful girl, though she has periods of time when she grows quiet and tends to converse only with Furre. The Academy is a place of great comfort to her and she can't help but feel that she has been here before, even though she remembers nothing. She is slow to trust those she doesn't know, and enjoys flying during times of freedom.

Perhaps you will see her crack a small smile, laugh at nothing, but those times are occasional and Lynne seems to prefer to keep them that way.

Personality: "Don't touch me."

With a bitter personality at first glance, Valerie isn't the best person you'd want to be friends with. What is there she can offer? Basically nothing good - unless you think being told off and pestered is good. The Rotom Gijinka never really makes friends - she only considers them acquaintances. Too much of a bother, she thinks. She never had any good uses for friends. Such a waste. Cold hearted and basically a jerk, she's sometimes mistaken as someone who thinks they're better than everyone else. Well, who blames her? She's thinks that everyone else is a waste of time, so why should she bother with them?

Valerie doesn't mind talking to anyone - that is, if they can handle her. She's rude and doesn't mind being completely honest. Does that dress make me look fat, you ask. No, she replies. But you don't look good in it. Obviously if you surprisingly reach the point where she considers you even the slightest but not annoying (or even more surprising, and actual friend! Gasp!) she'll be nicer to you. Although it comes with a negative side - if she believes you're her friend, she thinks you already know that when she insults you it's a joke half the time.

Valerie has orange hair with random blue streaks in them. She's pretty short - shorter than most people her age, although she doesn't mind at all. What's the big deal with being tall, anyways? She prefers to wear sweatpants and baggy clothes, although jeans aren't bad either. Valerie just doesn't like skirts and dresses. Oh, high heels and sandles are a no-no as well. Sneakers are the best way to go - not that she doesn't mind boots either.

* Very forgetful to the point where people mistake her for being amnesiac - if she really is amnesiac is unknown
* Cannot connect names with People's faces very well
* She can take over appliances easily, changing into another form. Although when she does this, she takes the item with her and if she changes back the item is where she changed back to her normal form.
* If she stays in her appliance for too long, she can get an overcharge of electricity which makes her catch colds and fevers easily.

Personality: "Hey, let's be friends!"

Too cheerful for this world, it seems like Allen would love to be surrounded by daisies and rainbows. Although, he knows that isn't possible - although he dearly wishes it were. Allen is more of a childish type of person, who won't stop at anything to have someone he's with. He doesn't like to be alone - no, not at all. He doesn't mind physical contact either - although it's almost as if he doesn't know when to stop. You might have to tell him, in case you get uncomfortable though.

Appearance:
Being an average height, sometimes Allen pretends to be taller just by floating a bit off the ground. He's slightly heavier than a normal person his age and height, although he doesn't mind at all. He has a lithe body - so most people seem surprised by his heavier-than-normal weight. And the fact that he can float. He doesn't really care what type of clothes he wears. Formal? Sure, that's okay. Casual? That's okay too. You can find him wearing a wide variety of clothes - or rather, what he grabs first from his closet.

Personality: Sky is quiet, polite and considered quite calm and amiable when first spoken to - like a flower with its petals frosted over and unable to bloom. Somebody who could be a sweet companion, if only for a little while.

But she isn't that, not at all. This persona of hers was what she used to be, now wielded as a social tool. Her formality and limited kindness is simply what gets her by in the world where easily misinterpreted words are exchanged to communicate ideas.
Beneath the surface of the iceberg that is the initial demeanor is a tormented, bitter, sharp-edged and grimly chuckling heart that rests within a placid pool of dead or dying motivation. She knows that this is not what the world wants, or rather needs, too, and has thus adopted what she considers to be a magnanimous policy - that all creatures, no matter their flaws, temper, personality and actions all have reasons and stories behind their actions, that they are not selfish or beyond perfection or lesser than others, that all can be forgiven with spite lagging behind - simply to escape the judgment her critical eye would pass unto herself.
(this policy of hers is rarely 'exercised,' at that, often being left on the back burner or merely kept in mind~)

She tells herself that she cares not for the views and whims of others that eventually sink to the same floor as any other's, yet despite this, will flinch if another so much as disapproves of her - and Sky cowers at the shadow of the monsters that could be, or will be if she can not be greater and topple them, and due to this, she is beginning to delude herself into a supremacy that contradicts her current world view, beginning to believe that she could be, and this in time folded together, is an abandoned god (o-or something with as much regality, prowess and security as one, ahaha--)

But, just as her worldview dictates, though holding all of these traits that could be labelled asinine or heartending, she, too, isn't corrupted or diseased. She has merely been making do with what she's had, and this is the result of all that's been thrown at her.
Appearance: A limber posture, with somewhat bony shoulders, arms and hips and a drawn-out face with uplifted cheeks, Sky appears semi-glamorous and ill, leaning towards the illness that causes her eyes to droop and a tiredness to show on her features - it is also for that reason that little mucus is visible, often hard to notice when observing a healthy Cubchoo.
On her shoulders rests the collars of a desaturated navy trench coat, sewn from a firm fabric that reaches past her kneecaps, and is decorated at the ends with bright, golden patterns of circles and lines inspired by constellations.
Underneath this garb is an unexciting forget-me-not blue and white striped turtleneck shirt, with long sleeves reaching several centimeters past the drooping trench coat sleeves to reach the base of the wrist area, a gaudy orange and dark rose hued skirt modeled after goldfish and koi fish, and stone gray pants.
All of this blargarb is concluded with boots that are a combination of dress shoes and ugg boots, dark cobalt in colour, with two large yellow-orange buttons lining the outward side of each.

Sky's eyes are charcoal black with rings of teal, with long, thick clusters of lashes, her hair hanging off her scalp in a hue of dull, indigo tinted gray-blue, descending into curls and a final wave as it ceases at her shoulder blades.
Often tucked inside her turtle-neck shirt.
Eyebrows are thick and fluffy and lend either a lightly growling or a snickering mood to her features, dependent on the curve of her lips.

Age: Nearing two centuries, but goes by "seventeen."

PokePet: Not quite her own, the [male] Swanna 'Uyles' [oy-illz] has been assigned by her noble family to monitor her activities, acting as both a messenger and reminder. He is a constantly sighing, stressed and ever-so-slightly smug character that yearns for the old days, back with his happy mess of a family.
Personality: Tenrai is not without a spark of life in her, but that spark has been reduced to something dull and precious and fragile, weathered by many years of a lonely life, though a protected one. She is polite, quite formal, serious and gently assertive -- and considers time to be one of her only constants. After all, it has been both her bane and her enlightening blessing.

She hasn't seen much, hasn't seen much endings, but tends to imagine what unfolds, and the beauty of many things that is also accompanied by such sadness, one that outlives brief, sweet joy - this sadness she breathes in like the truth everybody speaks of, always.
Others have been lovely acquaintances to her, though she hasn't quite pondered what's become of them these days, as she forgets the being, but remembers the effect.

Tenrai muses to herself, a substitute for the constant chatter and the people that she has managed to escape this far in life, and learns a small amount from the stream of thought - enough so that it tends to distract her from current events, from others.
Being so without others, Tenrai takes great care of her body, or rather, has taken precautions to assure that she will not tire of herself, not in her eyes or in response to the narrowed eyes of others.
That is, agelessness, appearance, etiquette, movement and a void now compose and mold her shackled self, and it's so beautiful that to let it go would shatter so much, and the range of the shards would not be limited to her.

Appearance: Tenrai is slender and fluid in movement, levitating and gliding with the practiced poise and turns of a dancer, (though she often makes sharp and rigid movements, too, as she is an amateur uhuehuehue) her skin pale and warm, high-cheeked and well structured face and skull framed by long, silky white hair that spills and floats in collected strands gradually reaching a burning point of icy blues, greens, violets and lemon yellows - her bangs loosely pinned to the back of her head in shapes resembling the petals of a flower.
This fire burns coolly though, its temperature controlled by Tenrai, and its licking flames held in place by bands of elegant white ribbons and levitating mauve, metallic bands to the back of a cream-tinted white dress.

Said dress has cups designed like the folded wings of a Swanna, and its length is beyond that of Tenrai's feet, ending in edges like that of crinkled lily petals. A translucent, soft material is folded over darkened rose pink sleeves of a duvet-like texture and a floral print, acting as secondary, puffed out sleeves.

This same floral shirt is seen in three soft-edged squares where the fabric of the white swanna dress has been removed.
Tenrai adorns white stockings that abruptly end at the ankle, and her eyes are feathery and long lashed, slightly slanted and a cold ocean blue. Eyebrows are neatly trimmed and lend her an unamused look.
Soft, light mauve lips that naturally frown.
Other: Tenrai once attempted to bind her feet, and though the majority of her bones remain unscathed, the pain of the feat (feet? feat? 8D) still lingers. This is well concealed by her attire.

Oky, so I lied a bit. I'll make some of it before I go in. :P

Name: Hannibal Reynolds
Gender: Male
Age: Pushing 18, but still 17
Species: Gabite

Pokepet: His friend for life is one no one would really expect. Someone would say something like a Dratini or a Bagon, but this is not the case at all. His partner and best friend is a Male Nidoran by the name of Jasper. Their story goes ways back, to when Hannibal was no more than about five years old, as a small Gible child.

Jasper was found as Hannibal was exploring the forested area around his former home, his parents hiding him from human eyes so he would be safe. However, the forest wasn't very big, and Hannibal was a curious child. Small spaces and curious children are a horrible combination, so it was no surprise when he wandered away from the safety of the trees and into a nearby city. It wasn't as obvious that he was a Gijinka at the time: his shark fin hadn't quite grown in. Instead, a small patch of his blue hair that stuck straight up where it would be appeared on his head like a cowlick. No one really suspected the strange child who had wandered unwittingly into their midsts.

Hannibal's secret had been discovered when he was found trying to eat a woman's pet Skitty. He wasn't as controlled as he is now, and children did get hungry fast. Sensing danger, he tried to run away as fast as he could, only to be caught by the Skitty owner's young boy and pinned to the ground. At this point, Hannibal expected the worse and felt a beating coming on when he heard an angry squeal. A purple flash tackled the boy away from him and screeched, sending the boy crying to his mother. Before he could be caught again, Hannibal ran away as fast as he could.

It seemed that the tiny creature had been watching him from the distance, observing his childish and innocent behavior, despite his hunger. He had come to like the child as he watched and, when the child was found eating the Pokemon, he became angry that the people could turn on innocence so easily. As such, when the boy was caught, he let him go by stepping in.

It was some years later that Jasper appeared to Hannibal again, when Hannibal had become a newly evolved Gabite Gijinka. He had found the little Nidoran injured beside the river that ran through his home, a bullet wound in the Pokemon's right ear. He took him home and nursed him back to health, not really realizing that this was the Pokemon that had helped him some time ago. Ever since, Jasper has stuck by Hannibal, even after becoming healthy again. He still has the bullet hole in his ear, but he doesn't pay attention to it. In fact, it's like a battle scar to him.

Personality: Hannibal's not exactly the most social person in the world because of what others think of him rather than his own personality. As a Gabite, it's normal for his kind to, shall we say, delight in "finer" meats satisfactory to the palate. To put it bluntly, he's a natural cannibal, and people stay away from him because of it.

However, he's not as bad as people think he is. A bit blunt and sometimes seemingly cold, but he's virtually harmless. He may sy or do things that hurt others on accident, but he means nothing by it. There's nothing personal between him and anyone else. He's not one to hold a huge grudge and, even if he tries to, he forgets about it in a short amount of time and will approach the victim with a smirk. Sure, he's got a taste for other people's flesh, but he can suppress it for some time before he has to satiate his hunger.

He's a rather funny person, if you're brave enough to look beneath his carnivorous nature, and he's quite optimistic despite his circumstnces. He tried to kid around with others, but they all seem to turn tail and head for the hills as fast as they can. He's also a proud man, grateful and glad to have been blessed with his unusual body and his great family. Who needs friends anyway? He's gotten to the point where he's begun to write his family letters, but they never answer. He's managed to convince himself that they're a ways away and the letters take time to get there, though he assumes the worst.

The only time he ever really shows what he really feels is at night, all alone. He has no roommate: everyone was a bit too unkeen to bunk with him. Nighttime is when he feels the loneliness the most: a time where truly nothing but the shadows are there to comfort and surround him to help. There's always hope in his mind, but he's beginning to doubt it.

Appearance: Hannibal is a little taller than most guys his age due to his Gabite blood, and he's quite a fighter because of it, too. He's of average weight with a somewhat muscular build around his arms and torso. His muscular build, you would think, would make him a stupid jock. Well, stop stereotyping! This is not the case. He devises his own pranks almost flawlessly, the occasional one going off too early and becoming an obvious prank gone wrong. At any rate, he's both smart and strong.

His skin is slightly tanned, though he usually hides most of it beneath a royal blue jacket, shaded almost exactly like his messy, unkempt hair on his head. He always wears a similarly colored pair of headphones around his ears. The headphones are shaped like a pair of missiles. Most of the teeth resting in his mouth are jagged and shark-like and he likes to flash them off with a huge, toothy grin plastered on his face. His eyes are surrounded by dark circles and are nothing more than a yellow iris with black slits for pupils. On the bottom of his palms rest a sharp, knife-like claw. His shoulders are home to a pair of dark blue fins colored royal blue at the tip, but gradually fading into his tanned skin color A similar fin rests on his back, torn through the back of the jacket.

Besides his blue jacket, he can be seen wearing a red shirt beneath it and a pair of faded blue jeans tugged tightly on and kept up by a black belt. His shoes are a pair of boots tipped with three short metal spikes. There's a huge tail digging out the back of his jeans, royal blue in color and tipped with a fin near the tip.
