Everytime ppl in the show talk about love in the show...ash looks confused and clueless!! in the episode with phione, phione wants to battle pikachu for buneary, and dawn says "wow, that's so romantic!" then brock says "Phione, I totally understand you!!" and ash is like "HUH?!?!"

Dude, Ash is totally gay. But he's so deep in the closet and defensive that he just pretends he's clueless. Meanwhile, whenever anyone brings up love, Ash immediately has thoughts of Brock lovingly ramming his ass. He's quite the actor, yeah? Poor kid. That's what happens when you never go through puberty.

Ash just doesn't seem to age in the show, like time is stopped and he's forever with a 10 year old mindset. Otherwise by now he'd start hitting on his female traveling partners and maybe even start to see Brock's point of view when it comes to pretty girls (Ironically he did in the first season when he and Brock were drooling over that know it all Pokemon Academy Girl) But as the show went on he seemed to get MORE clueless if possible. Misty was the perfect girl for Ash and then they put in May, then Dawn. Next will probably be this Iris girl. And I mean honestly these other girls usually have another guy for the love interest besides Ash. Like May has Drew, who is by far a better fit for her than Ash. --------------------     |

He's even clueless about water - I remember in that Mewtwo Returns movie, everyone tried the spring water. These were the results -
Brock: (drinks water) This water is great! Misty: (drinks water) Oh, it's so wonderful! Ash: (drinks water) ... Kinda tastes like something's been swimming around in it. Brock: We should've known better than to ask your opinion! Ash: Huh? Misty: You know what your problem is? Brock and Misty together: (pointing at Ash) You. Have. No. Taste. Ash: Maybe I don't, but neither does this water! Pikachu, try this. Pikachu and Togepi: (drink the water)  I miss Misty too. I thought May was sort of boring, but I like Dawn because she developed into a much more interesting character as Diamond/Pearl went on. I think it's kinda strange Ash is always 10.. I've always imagined that in Sinnoh he was at least 14 :'D
Sorry off. But anyway, I like how clueless Ash is. That brings more funny scenes to the show! And it would be very strange if Ash thought that "Oh my God she likes me <3" O____o Besides, Ash isn't a total jerk when it's about love. He have charmed few girls, like Angie.
