Life on other planets., Do you think "Yes" or "No"? |

Life...
You know, some organisms on earth DONT breathe oxygen, some bacteries use sulfur to fuel themseves... Now look at Venus A planet which, on the surface reaches 500+ by celsius, ON THE SURFACE, But in the atmosphere, its ONLY 50+, and it in fact it full with sulfur... Even more, Venus contains some Oxygen in its atmosphere. Now put it toghether..... And think about whether life can only be on planets like Ours.. There are a lot more planets like Venus out there, maybe some life has become more sapient that us, Maybe they live in our solar system, maybe it isnt even ours, maybe they own this sistem... Think about it, and when your done Tell me, Why would we think we are Alone? --------------------  - My party, Clicks accepted! |

I'm going to start my opinion with this quote.

There is a lot of space, a lot of worlds, I think we would be rather arrogant to believe that we are the only species in this place. Of course, you might not believe in green/purplbe/blue/silver beings with big eyes that want to destroy/study the planet, but life means that, somewhere that is not earth, there might exist a plant, and there might be oxygen and a pecies is living there already. It doesn't mean that it's more advanced than us, it simply meant that there is possibility of life outside of the Earth. I beleve there is. --------------------       I am the Shadow on the wall. |

I believe in life on other planets.

I believe in the mediocrity principle, or that there is nothing special about humans or the Earth.
Earth is a relatively ordinary planet orbiting a relatively ordinary star in a relatively ordinary galaxy which is one of countless others in a giant universe, or a possibly infinite multiverse. Then – given sufficient time – life must have originated elsewhere in the cosmos. -------------------- |

Well, I believe that there is life on the other places in the larger-than-larger-than-largest universe of ours. It would seem quite stupid to believe that Earth is the only place in the whole universe that can support life.
But of course... that may just be a possibility, and being impossible is also just one... --------------------  |
