Just a general question;

In Furoh, is it the same as real life?

18 or older to move out.
16 to drive.
14 for learner's permit.
etc.

Stupid question, i know.
Just answer it please?
(Sorry if i seem rude.)

Well, the laws of the pokemon universe seem pretty... Hard to define. We know that children as young as ten years old can take a journey for an undetermines amount of time, to regions that in real life would make a grown man tremble. With some exceptions, everyone walks. Their transortation and weaponry are modern, but their computer tech is a stage above modern, and they have mastered a form of matter-to-energy conversion, nearly to the point that the devices to do so are portable.

In somew contries, the age of consent is lower than in the states, as low as 16, as is the drinking age and the driving age.

So let's make some definitions:

A child can travel, alone, as a pokemon trainer at a minimum of 10. He can drive an automobile at 14 legally (but if he has a pokemon that knows fly, surf, or rock climb, he can get around just fine). At 16 he can choose to move out, but most wait until 18. Some even choose to stay with their parents in an extended family setting (see older families and asian culture).

Doc can supercede this.

Team Rocket also pointed guns at the Safari Boss. And HE pointed a gun at Ash and company. We're still not gonna see a whole lot of guns in Furoh.

Yes, but that brings up another point: It being a more frontiersy area, there are probably a lot of younger people working, driving, and even marrying. We may not see it, but it might be happening o.o

Frontiersy? You mean like the Wild West? Wouldn't that imply that their would be more guns?

We bear and train creatures that could conceivably kill a man in one blow. Ones who have 5000 degree fires in their bellies, that fire lightning from their cheeks, tails, or heads, that can freeze a man in seconds... why do we need a gun?

hmm.. *Go Flareon! Use Fire Blast on that jerk*
*Rhyperior, Horn Drill! aim for the head awesome.gif *
*Steelix, Iron tail, destroy the building*

Do people assault/hurt/beat others like in real life? It's kind of easy to use a Pikachu to paralyze someone... or a totodile to hurt someone bad using its powerful jaws... Or I guess people of Furoh/pokemon world are more good-hearted by their nature?

What about the fights between pokemon trainers? Lets say I have a Charizard and a Typlosion...how can I practice without burning an entire forest/city/population with Lava Plumes, Eruptions and Flame Throwers?
I'd want to keep the thread of the logical events. Are the buildings/the ground/grass/trees etc... made of some sort of special minerals/stones for constructions, that can take low damage from devastating attacks? ok, maybe its too exaggerated... cat.gif

Are the guns/knives/very powerful attacks outside of the gyms/contests - prohibited by the laws of Furoh?
umm-uhm, excuse my intervention ^^" but i'd really like to read a logical explanation walloftext.gif aren't some addition essential, when it comes to this world's rules?

Darryn was assaulted by bullies who set their Poochyena on him. Human vs human, Pokemon vs. Human - it's all conceivable.

What about the fights between pokemon trainers? Lets say I have a Charizard and a Typlosion...how can I practice without burning an entire forest/city/population with Lava Plumes, Eruptions and Flame Throwers?
Practice in Pokemon battlefields (conceptually at Pokemon centers and in Gyms/Halls). They should be fireproof etc. Otherwise you can practice in the mountains away from trees. Or even in grassy areas if you are kind enough to have a water type around to put the fires out. In short, it's your RP so you can make whatever you want from it.

I'd want to keep the thread of the logical events. Are the buildings/the ground/grass/trees etc... made of some sort of special minerals/stones for constructions, that can take low damage from devastating attacks? ok, maybe its too exaggerated... cat.gif

Are they prohibited in the anime? No. All we ask is that you keep it sensible and believable (as much as possible when playing a Pokemon RP!)
