Talk about whatever you want, whether it's GPX related or something going on in your personal life, just be sure to read the rules first before posting. There's always someone on the forums to read and respond to your posts, so chat away and maybe you'll meet some great people!

Rules

• Regular forum rules still apply here. Basically don't double post. Don't ask for clicks every time you fill your party. Unless it gets out of hand*, I'm okay with you linking to an exploration Pokemon who needs a specific berry.
  
  *out of hand meaning I don't want to see Pokémon being linked just for leveling or if they need drinks for happiness. These kinds of interactions can be handled just fine by being in your parties and signatures.
  
  
• Do not post your shinies here, there's a http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?showtopic=5491 for that. Discussing them is OK though! Just make sure you add content to your post.
  
  
• Make sure your post contains worthwhile content. If you're posting an exploration Pokémon to be fed berries then be sure to add other content to your post. Same with discussing shinies. Find people to reply to or start a discussion yourself! Your post must, with the shiny portion and berry feeding hypothetically removed*, not read as if you're talking to yourself. To clarify, your post should not be an out-loud thought to yourself, and should contain more general discussion than just information on your current shiny luck.
  
  *if you were to read your post, skipping over any mention of shinies, the post should still sound like a good post.
  
  If any posts are found breaking this rule then they will be instantly deleted and handed a 10% warn.
  
  
• Do not post your GPX+ gear grinders in this thread either. There's also a http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?showtopic=49472 for that. This is mostly for raging at staff or site events that you don't like.

Monthly Raffle

Nominations are now gone, and I'm using post count to determine how many entries you have into the raffle. The first 19 posts you have will count as one entry, and every ten after that will count as an extra. Think of it as the first number of your post count is how many entries you have. To see what your post count is, click on the number of replies any certain thread has. Nothing else on the site will influence the amount of entries you receive, so if you'd like a chance to win, then post here frequently!

The raffle is what chooses who gets to choose what's in next month's egg distribution. There are no other site advantages other than that, and even then the whole site gets a chance at that Pokémon that you chose!

How to get an egg from this event

• You must keep at least one slot open in your party.
• You MUST have logged in sometime on GPX+ in the last two weeks.
• You can not be in the restricted group.

IMPORTANT EVENT NOTES

1. No, you do NOT have to be online at the time I am sending out eggs.
2. These eggs do NOT show up in the Lab for the event. They are sent out randomly.
3. There is ONE set shiny for each Pokémon, but every other egg has a regular chance of being shiny.
4. If you obtain ONE of the eggs from this event, you will NOT be able to obtain another one from this same event. This means if you get an egg on day 1 of this event, you can't get an event egg from any other day during this event. By the way, abandoning an event egg does nothing. So if you get one you might as well keep it and be happy.
5. If we find any accounts being made just to get eggs from the event then they will be immediately banned along with your main.
6. If you were a winner of the raffle, your chosen Pokémon will be spawned into your party on the day of the event. It won't be forced shiny, but there's always a small chance just like any other egg! This will not count as an event egg and you can still receive one from the event.
7. There is no guarantee that you'll receive an egg. There have been about 3k users online daily and there are only 1,750 eggs going out, so that at least gives you a little more than a 50% chance at getting something.
8. Eggs chosen will not be available to pick from again for 3 months. If x egg was in the January egg distribution, then it can not be chosen again until April.
9. The event runs at 4 p.m. server time.

Event dates and what's being handed out

• February 2nd: Demonic Pinecone ~ Pokii ~ 350 eggs
• February 3rd: Darkrai - Winner: BBD - 350 eggs
• February 4th: What is pink and purple and loves to love? ~ Valentacool ~ 350 eggs
• February 5th: Latios - Winner: Volmise - 350 eggs
• February 6th: Virizion - Winner: Shaoo - 350 eggs

Hopefully February will be better for me than January was. I get depressed in the winter but if the end of this month was any indication it'll be relatively nice and warm this February.

I'm going to try and really push myself to get things done this month. January was a weird milestone sort of month with me turning 30, and while it was a good month with my beautiful girlfriend visiting and my getting back into yoga, I wanna try and be more productive.

I'm SO excited for the SWSH prize. I made it, and I hope that people like it.

Nice giveaway choices, too. I'll probably go for Latios or Virizion, but I might forget. >_>

Well the SWSH was awesome last month, ended up hatching more shinies than I thought I would. In the end I managed to get 7 shinies .

Can't wait to see what all of the distribution Pokemon are. I'm not picky with what I get so its nice to see all the different Pokemon the winners chose .

Yay, February! Valentine's and my dad's bday and a chance will get some decent rainfall! Also, MEW DISTRIBUTION!!! First thing in the morning I am going to get one. I might visit a different store in the chain every day of the month. I can get a mew in pokemon x!

You guys heard about the new legendary distribution each month for the rest of the year, right? Which pokemon are you most looking forward to? For me it's mew (obviously) and arceus.

I'm guessing the demonic pinecone is pokii? And the pink and purple mystery is probably valentacool. Not writing off the possibility of new pokemon though.

This month's explorations are pretty nice as well. I'm going for Three Singing Chatot and Finding Your Muse.

I checked out the market and 3/4 of my trinkets are available to Azurites. I hope everyone likes my trinket. The worst part, though, is that the trinket that I like the most is Wulfenite-Malachite trinket.

Good, good. I needed a second Diancie anyway. Well, the Mega Stone will eventually be released, dontchaknow, and I needed a second Diancie for my living 'Dex.

And yes, it looks like Pokii and Valentacool are the mystery eggs.

Yay new month! Also super excited that I managed to get picked for the raffle. Was beginning to think the only way to get rolled on was to be super talkative or spammy.

Anyways I was boring and went for Latios. Though I'm sure whoever manages a shiny off that day is gonna be super excited no matter what!

I hope you don't, either. This event is going to be so convenient for those of us missing living dex entries.

As for me, I plan on getting all of them, but I'm most excited for Mew for some reason. I guess it's because I never had it legitimately. Otherwise, I'm very happy to get legit versions of whatever I don't have. In fact, out of the list of what's being released, I think I only have Shaymin and Genesect. Maybe one or two others, though I don't remember.

Somewhat. The 2nd post says about an egg distribution. So if you win this month's monthly raffle, you get to choose the distribution pokemon. "Raffle tickets" are your post which has a ratio as Jen mentioned in her first post. And well, I highly doubt anyone would choose Magikarp for the distribution.

Yes. And no. While the winners CAN choose what pokemon is given out, it has to be a Legendary or Novelty pokemon, so no Magikarp, AND not have been chosen in the past three months. So, let's say you actually get chosen at the end of February, you would not be able to choose either of this months mystery pokemon or the three Legendary pokemon mentioned in the second post of this thread.

And also? Has everyone spotted the 7th Anniversary thread yet?

I'm trying to decide between Darkrai or Virizion, probably the latter because I did Darkrai last time it was distributed.

As for the monthly explorations, I'll be doing the Reshiram/Zekrom one and Finding Your Muse. The other two I remember doing just a few months back, so I'll give my more neglected ones a go at it.

And I notice the event right after I filled up my party. I'm restarting my mass Scatterbug hunt. I don't remember how many I still need to get all the shiny Vivillon.

I think that Deoxys isn't there because it's obtainable in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, but yeah, that would be nice for those who never got ORAS or didn't get that far in it.

So that means more Scratch Cards? Yay! Assuming the coins criterion for points are same, I'd need 300 for all the scratch cards right? Oh god why this month? I'm not gonna get anything good out of this event. Also, I've no Red, Pink or White shiny hunts active, so that's gonna be a bit painful.

EDIT: Ok, I just checked Mareep is white, so that solves the problem.

Yup, if they are levelling to 70+ levels, I doubt I'd be able to hatch the eggs and level them in time. I am not getting a complete hunt this time, at least. And I doubt there will be a long Scavenger Hunt this time around. Well, I will try though.

Well I finished Summon the Hero in 41 minutes and 8 seconds, my best yet. I'm going to cross my fingers that my new Zekrom egg hatches shiny, but that won't happen . I've only ever hatched one shiny Legendary on the site so it would be nice to actually get an Exploration Pokemon to hatch shiny.

Guess I'm going to be starting some Red, White and Pink shiny hunts. If the top prize is a Sh. Legend Voucher like it was in December I want it .

I finished Summoning the Hero pretty quickly as well and chose Reshiram this time. I haven't done it in a while so I forgot which one I picked last time. Now I'm doing Meloetta, as I said. I got a couple of coins thanks to me finding a couple spare Cleffa from the SWSH. Speaking of which, I didn't pay a lot of attention at the scoreboard this time around, and I hatched four overall.

My sister is starting a reptile buisness with snakes and geckos so she has rats and mice to feed to her snakes. Went to pet one and the little sh*t bit me hurt alot too. Flicked on the nose and im never petting it again it can just sit in the corner and be jealous of the NICE rats. just hoping that it was a clean rat i really dont want my thumb to fall off i need it for drawing and writing.

I love how the new novelty looks! Of course, the Larvitar line is one of my favorite lines in Pokemon, so I might be a bit biased.

Started my first run of DotW earlier. Let's see how quickly (or not) I can get it done! While also working on my undergrad thesis. ... I may have made a mistake there.

I can't believe I've been on this site since 2009! This is the same year the Pokemon RP I'm on started up so it's easy to keep track of how long it's been around when i've been on two pokemon sites for the same amount of time I still love clicking and taking care of Pokemon!

Also who is ready for 20th anniversary Pokemon?! To think I've been a trainer for 20 years!

Ever have those days were you just don;t want to sleep? That's me right now. I want to click and play and read more Undertale fanfiction (would you believe I never even played this game. But a few comics apparently is all I need to suck me into the story).

I spent a good portion of today mopping floors and getting the cats new litter boxes set up. Ah, its so refreshing to have things clean for once! I hate cleaning but I can;t deny it's nice when everything IS clean.

I completely understand the Undertale thing! I was obsessed with the game well before I even played it. Like, I listened to the music constantly, roleplayed it, read fanfics, etc. Since I knew the entire story and whatnot, that's all I really needed. :P I did play it eventually, though... like four times over the course of two weeks or so.

I also spent some of today cleaning, but I didn't quite finish. That's on the to-do list for tomorrow.

Congrats to those who were able to complete the SWSH hunts and thank you, Synx Itax, for spriting the new novelty!
I haven't hatched mines yet but I have seen others who did already and I gotta say that they look great~

I may try to go for Darkrai or Latios for the egg distribution but I forget to leave a space open, so...

Anyways, this hunt left me with three shiny Clefable so I spunt probably too long evolving, dressing up, sprite changing, nicknaming, and description writing on these three. It is amongst this chaos where I ask this important question. "What am I doing with my life?"

Oh gosh the music! It's some of the best I've heard in awhile for a video game!

This is kind of how my experience went over the past like three days:
Out of curiosity that finally broke myself out of my stubbornness (because I dig in my heels over getting into popular things, I have no idea why) I decided to watch a little Undertale. Game Grumps was doing a Steam Train on it so I picked a video at random. Of all things... it was the Sans fight on the Genocide run. They hadn't won so I went to a video that had.
And wow-ie was that an incredible fight to see in full. I fell in love with the music too so next stop -

Soundtrack! Fell in love with Sans battle theme. Then after I watched bits of one of the endings, those themes as well.

Then I started watching comic dubs. Then to Wikpedia. Then I went to tumblr. Then fanfiction. And now....

Welp. This is the first time I can say that the fandom encouraged me to like the product instead of the product making me appreciate the fandom.

P.S. Why am I making cookies at midnight?

Oh well

its a shame that only 1 of my SH are of red,pink or white colour, even bigger shame that it isnt very common in the shelter right now :/

I guess my goals for this month would have to be:
- Get max amount of coins needed for the scratchies
- Do as many scavenger hunt tasks to aid in that coin getting
- Finally find the snowlax that still evades me
- Finish my second DotW run (on task 10 atm with 35k clicks left to do but laziness prevails)

I guess I could try and get a few furfrou combs aswell but im really not that invested/good at the battle system here soooo ._. yeah

have a good month guys may the shinies come to all of you!

None of my shiny hunts are the right color for coins... oh well. I'd like a shiny legend voucher, but I don't think I can get enough coins for that in any case!

Heh, I wonder if there can be more than one user with a certain name... Demonic Pinecone is pretty cute.

I'm guessing 4 is Valentacool, so I'm trying for one of the legends.

Also, I thought about the coins some more and the easiest scummiest way to lots of points is hatching Magicarp for the whole month. (And doing the scaveger hunt.)

I think I'll also hatch 3k eggs that I don't have the shinies for Anybody want to race?

Siiberchen, would you want to do a shiny race for Absol? I've actually been wanting to go after a really good one for the battle tower, and it's white so goes along with the coin event. Also, I'd love to have a Shiny Mega Absol :P Doing the legendary bird trio exploration then I'll be going for the Absol Just let me know!

Also I love the new novelty, I'm dropping my current novelty hunt (300 Painted Torchics....) to try and get a shiny of the new one!

also uh, the fandom is kind of, not good... although there is a part of it that isn't all that bad, like the comics and dubs are really really awesome. But a huge majority of the fandom is starting to become like FNAF's fandom.
But I like the game and appreciate it for what it is, and that is a damn masterpiece
Xenoblade still tops it in my favorite games list though

Regarding this month and the raffle, I'm doing Darkrai and Diancie's explos and going for Darkrai. Trying to get a shiny to knock down one shiny entry and I want to test something out with Diancie's explo. But first I've to finish DotW.

Quite a possibility. There is only one technical problem and that is there is no pre-loaded condition for it. So the site will either consider the first Diancie is satisfying the condition (since there is none) or might not recognize it at all. Well, it's definitely worth a try. I'm looking forward to the result (and might hang my second exploration based on that).

I don't need any of this month's exploration/raffle Pokemon for my living dex, but I think I'll try for shiny Moltres and Reshiram in the expos, and either (what could possibly be) Valantacool or Latios in the distribution.

I also cancelled a bunch of my shiny hunts to start ones for red/pink/white Pokemon. I did pretty average for the last coin event, so hopefully I'll go better this time I can't believe the site is 7 years old! I'd definitely say I've enjoyed every moment of my 6 and a bit years on here Looking forward to what else is coming later this month!

Congrats to our February winners and welcome to the wonderful month of looooooooooove, Everybody. This is shaping up to be a great month on GPX and I'm looking forward to the fun times. I hate that I'll be gone all of next week (for all intents and purposes), but so glad that it'll be next week and not the one after (when the Scavenger Hunt begins). *phew*! Dodged that bullet! I think that, when I plan my company's next event, I'm going to have to make sure it isn't interfering with any major GPX events. *smirk* Piece of cake. Right?

So today I'm prepping for next week but hoping to hatch a lot of Valentine like colored Pokemon. Here's hoping!

And oh yeah! Jeez! I almost forgot! Game Stop tonight to collect my Mew distribution cards! I'm not sure if he'll be able to give me one for each major game, because the store clerk said they have a limited supply, but he did promise to hold at least 3 aside for me (he knows my daughters and I play). Hopefully I can score 5 cards though, but I'll see.

Well, it might have? If I'm not mistaken, you can only change Dracowymsy's Regular form sprite if the Dracowymsy is the one rewarded at the end of the Vespertine explo. Anyway, I'll try it as soon as I'm done with DotW and the Trinket explo.

By the way, speaking of scratch cards, I'll probably be getting my coins from ice types, namely Delibird and Vanillite. And can't we have another indicator other than going to the Stats to see how many coins we have?

Well people have the right to express their opinions. Including my opinion that there will be some people who would always be there to criticize you. Don't cry Spacetar But honestly, to call Spacetar dumb is definitely is definitely something that would anger me and many others in this thread. But I do understand your outrage that you wanted a Snowlax, Lumpy Oatmeal. Some are still breeding/releasing it, so you have your chance there. And I haven't ever seen a novelty which is already distributed repeat as SWSH prize.

On another note, I just have 1 more shelter grab remaining. I regret not getting those other two shelter passes now.

I'll eventually be breeding the Snowman Munchlax again, but not this month. Not while there are coins to be considered for the red, pink and white Pokemons. The way to obtain a novelty Pokemon though is definitely not by talking trash about another one. I don't think it'll make others want to help.


I just checked my Shelter Grabs. I've got 14 left. But! I'm fairly certain that count will increase as my activity does. Maybe not as much as if it were a multiplier day but... ah yes. I see your pain. It isn't available in the market today. Grrr! Argh!!

And the Valentine's event (you can call it what you want, but let's face it, it's Valentine's). Honestly probably not gonna be doing this outside of any scavenger hunt coins I get or any mons I just happen to hatch that fit the requirements. Seriously, I'm still working on the stuff I hatched (and kept) from December's thing. I don't need to flood my boxes with MORE stuff.

My lovebirds' first baby hatched today!! I could only get a quick glimpse of it, but it's so tiny and covered in white wispy fluff -proud grandmother moment-
I was woken up this morning by my mum running into my room yelling "There's a baby! There's a baby!" Just being woken up, I had no idea what she was talking about until she dragged me to the lovebirds' cage and I heard the little baby cheeping :P So that's one egg down, four to go!


Eggs are hatching surprisingly quickly today for a non-multiplier day, so I'm running out of Shelter grabs too! Though maybe that's my cue to go to bed :P

I'm going for Meloetta and... something else (either Diancie or Reshiram, not sure yet), and Darkrai for the distribution. Shouldn't be too hard to remember to keep my party locked until the second egg was what I thought last month too and I failed horribly.

Might try for a shiny legendary voucher if I don't get too caught up in other games.

And I'm not excited at all for the anniversary thing because I hate that code distribution crap with a passion.

Thanks. Getting 99% of all Trinkets and one shiny novelty will definitely be the hardest. Master Commuter will eventually come with the leveling up tasks on DotW and TBD and I'm only missing three legendaries (both Landorus forms and Xerneas [Active]), two Arceus (Steel (using the Plate right now) and Ice) and two 'mons for the living dex (Mewtwo and Kyurem). Between doing TBD 3 times, waiting for Landorus, Mewtwo & Kyurem's explorations/raffle and all the other new explorations and features that will surely be introduced this year, I'll be pretty busy.

Yup, 52 eggs per day is 1508 total. There are a few 2k maturity eggs that make it easier, and with the scavenger coins, I don't think I'll need to be super focused on hatching tons of eggs outside of multiplier days. For now I'll try to get as close as I can to 52 and then go all out on weekend nights and multipliers.

Megolovania is beautiful and intense. I think it's hilarious that I landed on one of the most popular fights, with the most popular tracks, with one of the most popular characters... without even knowing any of this, just pure chance.

I know there's always those dark areas for fandoms, but I gotta say, the work being turned out for Undertale is amazing. The artwork, the AUs - I love the creative side of fandoms, I really do. And this work being churned out is stunnnnnning.

Nothing can ever top Kingdom Hearts for me though

Hatching literally anything red/white/pink I'll be honest. I'm trying to avoid fairies for multiplier days as I have the Pixie Plate already, I wouldn't mind trying to see if I can finish one of my other almost complete plates, and perhaps start another.

I suppose in that case: Pawniard, Cubchoo, Vanillite, Foongus, Seel, Emolga, Litwick.
Anything along those lines I suppose..

I'm hatching Mareep and Frillish because they are part of an ongoing and long accumulating hunts. I started them long ago and got distracted due to swishy and hanukkah and sort. No more distraction this time. If one of them ends successfully, I'm on to Pachi because of its low egg step and Zap shard!

For the most part, anything that I find in the Lab that I don't already have a shiny of. {If it's a pokemon with no evolutions. Yes, I'm looking at you Solrock.} Or one that I still need Shards for. I have one spot empty for advancing in the Diancie exploration when I can and one spot for the task pokemon. I might also throw in a NON-coin pokemon, if I come across one that I want the shiny of.

EDIT - @ nokrow: Do you have Prize points? If so, and you're not holding on to them for something special, buy another voucher or two. If you ARE holding onto the Prize Points, breed. Me? I bought two extra Vouchers, myself. Maybe one of them will actually have a better IV spread than 47.

Today has been such a crazy day. I didn't wake up until 11 am this morning, I wanted to be up early for once, oh well. Then my neighbor finally got off his butt to clean the driveway....only for him to bash into his garbage cans in his truck, causing a huge bang. I just sat in the living room watching the carnage XD.

It was my sister's birthday today, so we ordered pizza and nachos. We bought her a cake as well, it was pretty good, though I didn't really like the icing. They use this certain kind of sweetener in it that tastes disgusting, I just scraped it off and ate the cake *laughs*.

I'm just hatching whatever eggs I can get my hands on. I'm mostly grabbing them from the lab, as I'm very low on Shelter grabs at the moment. A good chunk of them have been Flabebe, Cleffa and Magikarp though. I've hatched a good chunk of eggs though, wish I had a bit more time though. Got work from 8:30 to 3 tomorrow, so I really got to sleep soon.

My Zekrom also did not hatch shiny *shakes fist*. One day I'll get a shiny legend from an exploration.

I may stop after level 150 for Kyurem on Shuffle. The 140-149 level range is the first one where I really started to have problems. It took me a couple of attempts to clear some of those levels, and I don't want to burn through all my coins quite yet, and who knows what we're getting for this week.

When I saw Lunar Larvitar, I loved the colors! He seems like a fun novelty, since so many Larvitars & evolutions end up in the Safari. It'll change things up from time to time.

Trying to figure out which eggs to hatch for the anniversary adds an interesting level of challenge to the month, but it's frustrating because all of the Corsolas I'd been hunting are getting snatched up! Maybe I'll feel better once I can start circulating eggs again. With the no-multiplier yesterday, I had to summon as many legends as possible to give me the best chance of grabbing them.

Got super lucky on Shuffle and caught both Skymin and Reshiram on my first try, and I got Sharpedonite as well, which was nice because I missed out on it last time. Now it's back to beating the poor Meowth senseless for coins again.

I totally forgot about Sharpedo's event last night, although my score was more than enough to get Sharpedonite.

Regarding the new Special events... this is why I fucking hate Shuffle and RNG sometimes. Had Skymin with 80-something % and had to use 2 Great Balls get it. With Reshiram, after not capturing it using Attack Power, had to use Attack Power + Complexity -1. And guess what? I also needed a Great Ball. Went from 42k to 17k. *sigh*

Morning Everyone!

Just dropping in to say thanks for that list of the red/pink/whites for the month. I've been trying to keep a few Pokemon in my mind for when I "Shelter Dive", but my old brain can only handle remembering so many. And wow! There are so many more to choose from! I've even passed up a few because I wasn't sure so... thanks for the assist.

I opted to begin a hunt for a shiny bug, Ledyba, and I see that this week's Poke Hunt is also bug. I don't think Ledyba would fair well at all, but if one happens to hatch with sweet looking IVs, I'll probably run with that. But for now I'm just trying to put in as strong a coin showing as I can since I'm loosing next week. It'd be cool to get a prize beyond the scratch cards, but I'm not holding my breath. Too much to do before the meeting next week. But! I'm determined to click as much as I can and have fun doing it. To me, that's what its all about. Not catching up to BBD because, like, yeah. That ain't happening [by me]! LOL

Back to the coins topic, I just have a lot of time at this point and I am really determined to be in top for most coins obtained. After checking Zerxer's post, I really hope that I (and others) will get Shiny legend vouchers. Having Shiny Darkrai is my dream.
Although, I don't know how long I will keep this lead..

I'm also at 97 percent, with 90 left to get, but I'm sure that will dwindle once I start collection more of the February trinkets. I got three new ones in one fell swoop yesterday by opening one of the shiny Pokechests.

Yeah the RNG can be a real pain sometimes (*coughReunicluscough*), but I'm guessing it made up for that for not having me waste my coins that much for those events.

I've no idea what I'd get if given the chance to choose but know that, if that day ever came to pass, my GPX party would always be at 5 available. Save for those times when the explorations call for 5 Pokemon and then you need 1 free spot to move on. But other than that... my shiny legendary would forever grace my party because... well... I'd finally have one. *happy sigh*

If it will happen that I get my shiny Darkrai, it's going to be in my party for a while as well. Tomorrow gonna get one Darkrai egg from winning raffle, and maybe another one later on. So there is always a chance. If that would happen then I don't even know for which I would go.
It's been over two months now as I am back to GPX and every single day was spent nicely. Lots of new friends as well. I regret nothing. As of now, I am just clicking for shelter grabs and watching serials/videos while hatching the eggs. So I am kinda chilling.

Shuffle news@ Next week we're having a Diancie's escalation battle (with a lot of items AND hearts (5 each time; 10 after stage 150) as reward, besides Diancite) and a Mega Abomasnow competition. I'll try to get as many coins as possible this week and go as far as I can on the escalation battle. Too bad Mega Speedup only shows up after stage 149.

I've noticed the site lagging since I've gotten home from work. It took me forever to hatch the eggs in my party and it only showed they hatched when I refreshed.

Well I didn't get today's egg, so I'm going to try and get Darkrai tomorrow. Maybe it'll hatch shiny *hint hint*.

I've also had no time to hatch eggs today, I worked until 3 pm and then had to cook supper. It was pretty good too . I'm hoping to get at least 50 eggs hatched today, let's see if it happens.

I'm lucky enough with Shuffle, I was able to beat both Reshiram and Shaymin sky but couldn't catch them I'm farming for some more coins and then I'll try again.
GPX+ wise, my search for pokemon that can give me coins gave fruits. Today I hatched a shiny voltorb, which came with my 4th zap shard Now if only there was more pachirisu in the shelter for me to finish this hunt that would be sweet.

And yes, I saw the trailer for Lego Star Wars! I love those games. I can understand why they're cashing on TFA, but it's strange to see the game so soon when they did whole trilogies at once before. I've been burned by the Lego Hobbit (they were supposed to complete the game with DLC to cover the third film...) so I'm a little faster to raise my eyebrow at those games now...

I'm not sure if anything can beat this one Pokémon (forgot what it was) I got that hatched with 9 IVs. That was miserable. Lol.

I'm doing okay. I need to finish a few things, start a few things, go to yoga, organize a few things. Plus, I'm also enjoying the cooler weather we've been having. Looks like Walking on Sunshine (who's also on the Gulf Coast) is experiencing the same thing.

I've seen three shiny Lunar Larvitar so far on the site. Hopefully people will evolve them to their final form!

Oh yeah! I should go grab Mew. I guess I'll get it for my Y and Omega Ruby games (since I own but never actually played the other Gen 6 games), and I'll shove them into Pokébank.

It looks like this month I'll be hatching things that aren't on my hunts... I guess that's okay. But something is bound to hatch shiny, I'm overdue. At least it'll result in a shard. But after seeing the prizes in December, I think I'm right to focus on earning coins.

To save them for the hunt tasks I guess? It's what I do. You can get unlucky and need to open a lot to get the rarity needed.

The last Lego game I heard about is Marvel Avengers, but if they did more Star Wars that would be awesome! I would rather they wait for the other 2 films to come out first though, so we have a ton of stuff to do. I also would love if they redid the other 6 movies as well. IDK how they'd put 9 movies into one game, but who knows!

Also, um, I'm trying to make a gofundme right now and an image is required, but idk what to use for it. I'm basically gathering funds to pay off my rent debt to my mother for the last 3-4 years, so a photo of myself isn't going to do anything (plus I don't want to share my face online) Anyone have any ideas on what I should do?

I see people talking about Mew. Wish I could get one, but I live nowhere near a Gamestop/EB Games . It would have been so much easier if they made all the events wifi instead of picking the best ones for in-life events. That was my biggest pet peeve about Pokemon Events and still is today.

Snagged a Giratina egg from the lab. I was resetting trying to find a Fletchling egg I refreshed over and found that instead. EDIT: Okay and now I grabbed a Lugia egg XD.

I just don't like how the company is going the way of "exclusive console content". Even if it is timed exclusive, I still hate it. And that is the only reason I haven't gone and gotten Lego Avengers yet. I'll get it when I can have Ant-Man on my game.



As long as they put them all into one game for episode 9's, I don't really care. I saw some people worrying they'd do another Lego Hobbit where they would do the first two but never did the last.
I'm sure they have enough stuff to do to fill the game and make it $50 worth like the others. Maybe freeroam on the planets.

I have a strategy question: I've hatched a shiny, rare pokemon with mediocre IVs for the Pokehunt. I plan to evolve it fully for use in the pokehunt. However, in the past, I've submitted a shiny and gotten 3rd place, and also submitted a decently-IV'd pokemon and gotten first. So is it better to submit a shiny, or a pokemon with high IVs, assumming those are the only variables?

Even though they aren't the only variable but assumption wise, a high IVd pokemon is usually better. Shininess, if I remember correctly contributes only 10-20 more IVs. I'd always go for high IV than shininess.

I really like Stellar Pupitar (more than Astral Tyranitar :P), especially its description and it's evolution criterion (I see what you did there ). I shall shiny hunt it one day (when my Mistilil hatches purplish) and that day I won't allow it to proceed beyond Pupitar stage, even if that means I'll lose a shiny dex entry.

Always go with rare, high IVd, highest egg steps possible and primary type 'mons. Shininess won't give you much and it's only worth if you don't have the Unique Entry achievement.

Accidentally hatched a shiny Cleffa while hatching pink stuff. I'm glad there are so many things to hatch for this coin event (as opposed to just Fire-types). I need to get more active on here to finish Guardians before Valentine's Day.

Keeping track of beers and money won at trivia this year. January alone had 3 gallons of beer and $275.

Question I usually don't ask: for anyone paying attention to the Oscars, what do you think should win Best Picture? My money is on Spotlight right now. Of the movies I've seen, it's absolutely the best.

I went to EB Games during my lunch break today and got my Mew

I'm still trying to nab a photo of my baby birdie for eveyone who's asked I tried today but Azula wouldn't get out of the nest (it's pretty much a cave the way she's built it) so every photo I got was just her eye glaring at me between all the leaves xD

I am not much of a movies guy but I have seen only The Martian among the best movies category. Even though it was great I don't see it to be an Oscar winning film. It was just a movie which would make a Sci-fi fan jumping on his feet, but Oscar is not won by them. Just think Inception. Also, I wanted to see The Revenant but it isn't releasing here before the Oscar weekend. It would be really funny if it wins the Best Picture award or LDC wins the Best Actor (still rooting for him ). As if I've seen it and it won Oscars.

Azula has those motherly feelings which wants her to protect her baby at all cost. Maternal psychology is a tough subject to discuss about. I really want to see the little birdie though.

Azula should be really confused. Especially, 'cause someone she knows is coming with an odd box, trying to fiddle with her little home which has her little baby. Well, now I want a picture of Azula as well, trying to protect her young one. I like the whole maternal-child relationship thing.

Pokehunt news, I hatched a Larvesta, 126 IVs, so I evolved it into a Volcarona and it goes into Pokehunt. I don't care if it gets rank 2 as well, I'm already having a hard time with 5k pokemons.

Ermm.. true. She should be used to the camera enough to know it isn't harmful enough. Also, there's another thing that came into my mind, Azula would also be wary of the flash (if eevee uses it that is), since she might be frightened that the intense light will hurt her baby.

Deadpool's actually the first movie I'm ever going to the first showing at a movie theater around here. Usually I wait a few days for crowds to thin(And during school hours to get the school crowd gone too) but it's Deadpool. I love Deadpool.

I'm so happy, I remembered to keep an open space in my party and got a Darkrai . This pleases me greatly, now I don't have to redo Deep Desires to get a chance at a shiny XD.

Well today was super slow, I went to work at 11 am and by the time that 3 pm rolled around I had nothing to do. I pretty much spent the last 2 hours walking around aimlessly trying to find things to do. I really hate it when I don't have anything to do, work drags on if it isn't busy.

I'm more interested in seeing Deadpool over Zoolander 2. I'm just hoping people do not spoil it because I won't get to see it as soon as it comes out. The movie theater we have here takes at least a couple months after a movie releases before it comes here. That's what sucks about living in the middle of nowhere, it takes ages for movies and things to get here.

I got up early today to work on a paper for college, then got that done and was quite happy. I left for class and was walking to the bus stop when I stepped down from the curb and tripped. After excessive cursing, I took an inventory of my limbs. My hands were scratched, and one knee was bleeding, but OMG my ankle. I'd twisted it. It felt like it might be broken. So I took a deep breath, and slowly maneuvered my body into a standing position. Finally, it came time to put my foot on the pavement. I slowly eased my weight onto it, and took a step. It HURT. But at least it was holding. I limped across the road to the stop, my knee bleeding and my hands stinging. I could tell my ankle was a lot weaker. When I got to campus, I washed off my knee and hands as best I could, and went to class. Prof asked if I was okay. I was, my ankle just hurt a lot. If I let it rest like I normally did under my desk, that was a no-go. So I tried to keep it in as amicable a position as possible and still was able to participate well in class. As I made my way back home from the bus stop, I noticed that my ankle was popping. A lot. I was careful to walk in a way that didn't make my ankle hurt or encourage it to twist. Now I'm at home with a bandage on, some ice, and it's sitting on a pillow looking all sad at me. At least I have the Internet to entertain myself. Definitely won't be volunteering tomorrow at a job where a major part of it is standing and walking. This ankle will need some time to heal.

tl;dr: OW MY ANKLE HURTS 'cuz I sprained it

I doubt that Deadpool will have much material in a way that it turns out to be a major spoiler. Probably some easter eggs related to the X-Men. I think that people want to see this movie more because of the character's humour and the gory action scenes associated with Deadpool.

And yeah, for the third time so far (if I'm not mistaken), I forgot about the distribution. Not being able to found a 6th ice type when I was looking was definitely a sign. Oh well, Valentacool or Virizion it is.

When I woke up this morning it looked like Independence Day outside, the sky was all this grey green orange purple red mix and it looked extremely ominous. Maybe there was a giant spaceship there somewhere!

Oh yeah Deadpoool. I have had very little exposure to the character of Deadpool, but he seems fun ('fun'). And I've enjoyed all the other Marvel movies I've seen, so I might go to this too.

I only just started hatching valentine eggs today, very slowly. I really wish I'd finished that Cleffa hunt in time. Or not ended it (but how was I to know I'd want to continue?) Well, hopefully we'll get a big multiplier and Honey+ some day and I can hatch a couple hundred eggs.

There is so much hype for Deadpool. I'm not used to comic characters, but I knew him because is the most famous one (or the only one idk because of my lack of knowledge in comics) who breaks the 4th wall, and I like this kind of stuff for a literarian like me, tehehehe.

I'm in treasure hunt of mysteries exploration. I like the name, it reminds me some tv series I like, like murdoch murder mysteries or phryne fisher murder mysteries haha.

I'm actually not really looking forward to any movies this month. Most of the movies I end up wanting to see in theaters are horror movies, and I never get to go see those.

Has anyone else ever found out that an internet friend/acquaintance actually lives really close to you? I was on another site a while back and someone started talking about the "Little Caesar's over on [Unusual Name] Road" and while her location wasn't stated, I have an [Unusual Name] Road in the nearest city. I asked her about some other nearby landmarks and surprisingly, she knew what I was talking about! And another time, on an older VPS (Virtual Pet Site for those of you who don't know), one of my friends was talking about "I had to go into [Other Nearby City] for grocery shopping" and I was kind of like whut. I asked her, and "Yeah! I live near [nearest Arby's location]!"

Those times are always awesome.

I knew of all Age of Ultron spoilers on a Sony article and I knew about the SW:TFA spoiler on some random website. It's really frustrating.

So, I just completed the exploration "Finding Your Muse" and honestly, Rhapsody, that was one heck of a story. I really enjoyed reading it and actually, rushed through the tasks only to get to the next part of the story. Thank you for making such a beautiful exploration. That, combined with Synx's art style makes it my favourite exploration till date in terms of storyline/artwork. I'd really enjoy reading it multiple times.

But come on why Shelter+ is at 60%. You dont really need shelter grabs if multiplier is active, just click a little bit.

I'd provide two points: 1. Some people don't have shelter pass, so this is a good oppotunity for them to get extra shelter grabs. 2. Free grabs v/s clickable grabs, Human Psychology is a bit shifted towards the lazy side, so everyone would like to have double shelter grabs without doing anything at all. Shelter + is just useless during swishy, when you have infinite grabs.

Shelter+ is actually going to be helpful due to the Coin event, with people grabbing low maturity eggs. Besides, the point doesn't even have to do with being lazy or not. We're not on holidays and people don't have time to click in the middle of the week as much as they had in December.

I would actually prefer Honey+ > Shelter+ > Trinket+. If every Plus were to be filled in the day after the previous one ended, we would have Trinket+ on a weekend and right around the Scavenger Hunt, allowing people to get some Pokéchests and not have the urge to immediatelly open them.

Azula isn't tame, so that, along with her maternal instinct is probably why she's wary of people lurking around her nest.
She's happy to fly around and share the same house as us, but doesn't like being approached. Zuko on the other hand is tame, so if Azula is next to him, she won't fly off as quickly if I go up to her then, because Zuko is standing his ground...if that kinda makes sense. So pretty much all of the photos I take of her, Zuko is in too. If he poses for the camera, she will. If she's by herself, she'll most likely fly away :P

Since I still haven't been successful in my baby bird photo quest, I'll just post another photo of Azula and Zuko for the time being :P The photo is a couple of months old, but it's cute

Is there more to life than being ridiculously good looking?
My sister and I are planning on going to see Zoolander 2 on the opening day. I'm really looking forward to that! Also pretty excited for Deadpool I won't be able to go on the opening day, but I still plan on going to the cinemas to watch it. I never go to the cinema...Frozen has been the only movie I've seen there in probably the last five years xD and now I'll be watching two movies in a month!

Yep, it makes tiny little cheeping noises, like a little chicken That's how I first found that an egg had hatched, because I couldn't see in the nest properly, but I heard little baby cheeps :P I'm not 100% sure what colour the baby will turn out...I think similar to Zuko's colours but a bit darker? I got confused trying to understand lovebird colour inheritance...so many different factors ^^"

Edit: I'm struggling to find any of the pink/red/white Pokemon I'm shiny hunting in the Shelter...I might have to start breeding one of them myself. Still plenty of Cleffas around though xD

Birds should be allowed to fly as they please. I don't have too big a house, so I don't think I'll ever get a house, but if possible I want to get an aquarium in the future. Fishes are still in their natural habitat just restricted. And well, my mother likes fishes as well, so I doubt I won't get consent.

Oh, I agree feather colour inheritance of multiple coloured birds in sometimes pretty complicated. We get it as a genetics problem sometime and I personally take quite sometime to figure it out.

My mom has a parrot that she would let fly around the house, but she was abused before my mom got her so she tends to bite. She's actually really sweet just a bit skittish. And anyone who says birds shouldn't fly around because of the poop- they can be trained to only poop in their cages, if you leave the door open for them. The training is just different from cat/dog training.

I actually really like fish, but I hate that they seem to be treated as living decorations instead of pets. Pretty much any landlord who says "no pets" will allow fish or other aquatic animals, as long as the tank isn't so huge it poses a flooding hazard. My mom's actually the aquatics expert at a pet store and while she doesn't have a saltwater setup she ends up with all kinds of strange pets. She's had several crayfish (crawdads), crabs, snails, and even a lobster once. The best part is, she knows how to keep them alive. A lot of fish owners tend to ignore the (general) rule that you need a gallon of water for every inch of a fish's maximum size, and goldfish actually need more than that. That's why they don't survive in bowls. Bettas are more suited for bowls than goldfish are.

I think I'm going to start breeding Slowpoke with my Corsola. I was trying to breed Valentacool, but no eggs have been showing up and the Tentacool eggs don't get selected in the Shelter, coin hunt or no.

Okay discovery- Bayo and Corrin are so awesome.

I've been mostly used the Jeanne palette swapped Bayo and I adore the fact that her wicked weaves change color with it. Ah, this game has detail <3

As for the red/pink/white egg things, I've mostly just been picking up whatever I see. I am shiny hunting Smeargle which are apparently white, but I've been too busy lately to really make much of an effort on this. >.>

Our birds always had their own room. They kind of needed it because of all their dust, but yeah, cage open and they can go where they want. When I was still living at my mom's house, the bird cage was in my room. My bed was just a hop away from their cage, so Belle would constantly come over when I was there and snuggle and the others came and went as they pleased. It was mostly Belle though. (:

The Zoolander quote along that we went to last night was fun. The props we got were little cell phones with bubbles inside them, a trash bag to wear as a poncho from the Derelicte design, and some pouty lips to match Derek's pout. Ready for Zoolander 2 now!

I finally got a response back from Sussex so I could FINALLY MAKE MY UNIVERSITY CHOICES! It means SO much because I've wanted to go to Bristol for 5 years, I've been rejected last year but accepted me this year so fingers crossed I'll get the grades Today has certainly been a happy day today!!!!

I really need to dedicate a couple of days to hatching, speed through my college notes and get them done so I can focus on the multipliers.. really want to get something decent out of this event!

I've slowly been trying to do more hatching every day for this event. Maybe once we get more multipliers and the scavenger hunt starts I'll begin picking things up even faster. I also ended up getting Valentacool from the giveaway. At least it'll count towards my coins.

I've finished watching Batman vs Robin yesterday. No unnecessary backstory, not aimed for kids and no "I need some cough medicine" Batman voice. Solid movie!

Bugger, I have an Articuno to hatch - I accidentally picked that up and not the Moltres what with being in a hurry. It had better have high IVs when it hatches... or maybe be a shiny?

Oh well, gotta keep on hatching hard. I've got a Fairy Plate, but I'm not gonna use it until the Coin Gathering is over. The quest is too distracting and long for that.

Okay time to gush about the site again.

I was talking with a friend last night about the donating system here, how everyone benefits and the only individual benefit is hiding advertisements (which we can all admit doesn't do much). There's no friction between users who donate and those who don't, and it's really a wonder more games (online and video games) don't implement this kind of system. I mean, the whole premise of the site is to benefit everyone (nobody is excluded from the Users lists) and I think that breeds a feeling of teamwork that holds the community together despite the competitive aspects (SWSH anyone?).

All of this got me to thinking- why do you donate (if you do) or why would you want to (if you don't)? Is it just for the plusses or is there something else that drives you? A lot of us talk about hating games where you have to pay to either move forward or access extra content, but to me, personally, this site is totally worth it. The community is worth it. I'd hate to see all of this disappear.

I agree, that the community is worth donating for. If I would donate, I'd solely do it because I feel bad that I am enjoying some privilege which I didn't pay for, rather someone else did for the whole site. It is as if I am a parasite feeding upon others. I would donate just to remove these thoughts from my mind. Hopefully, as I will turn 18, I'll have a bigger allowance, bigger saving and a debit card, so I can donate something, even if it is too much, to the site. I feel bad to be only in the receiving end. Also, I adore that Raikou in the trainer card. :P

EDIT: Beats me, anyone has any idea, why is the SWSH Trash Talk thread still pinned. I thought it was removed after SWSH months end.

at least in my opinion

besides it helps to keep the site up and running to donate
and I guess that's what we all want, right?

I doubt it will be a 3. Not a SWSH weekend, so no bonus for that. Pass Counter isn't anywhere near being filled, so no bonus for that. The only way it would likely hit a 3 tomorrow is if a site personnel has a birthday. Does anyone? Idaknow myself.

Huh. I think this is the longest I've been since the Egg distributions were re-instated that I HAVEN'T gotten an egg early in the distribution. Well, when I had a Party slot, anyway. I locked myself in at least one month.

What kind of system? One where ALL users can benefit? Why would producers/developers do that? They work for a company and a company wants money/profit. This would give them way less than they want/need. That's why there are microtransactions and why this method is growing more popular. The closest that you'll have is free DLCs and those weekends where you gain more XP in fps games.

Anyway, when I donate the few credits that I've, it's for me. I mean, isn't that why the majority of people donate? For themselves? Don't get me wrong, it's amazing that other people end up having the same benefits that the one that donated, but I always thought that people donate for themselves. Either to have a multiplier, try to finish shiny hunts, get pokéchests, etc.

I think of it this way- if every active user donated regularly, we would have a constant stream of plusses and pretty soon the site dynamics would end up lopsided. There might not be enough Pokemon in the Shelter, there might be too many in the Safari, that sort of thing. So while the site would be very well-funded, I think it's best if we maintain a population of non-donating users.

And if you were referring to my Trainer Card (I didn't see a Raikou anywhere so I'm assuming you are), that's a shiny Arcanine, not a Raikou XD


I could see it where in any sort of game where you play on teams (MMORPGs or FPS's primarily] you could pay for a team boost, or towards a map that has extra goodies for both teams in team v. team games, etc. Really, the reward just has to be great enough. Here, it works because plusses are a pretty integral part of the game, turning what is otherwise a leisurely game into something more action-packed, especially when it comes to the near-constant events. When was the last time we had a SWSH that didn't have plus after plus after plus?

I usually just donate around SWSH to help with Honey+ and such. I love the site too and I don't mind sparing a bit to help.

The main why I donate is to get rid of the ads, but this is pretty much the only game I'd do that for. I've been one here consistently for a while now, so I have no problem at all paying my $50 a year to help keep the site up and running. And as Ara said, this community is totally worth it

I think the main driving force for me donating was the fact that i'd been here for around 5 years and I thought I should really give back to the site for all the hours i've enjoyed here. I couldn't donate much being a student and all but it worked and ill probably start doing it on a yearly basis hopefully being able to afford a bit more.
as for the adblock i haven't even activated it since donating as the ads have never really bothered me

Ah, no need to be so hard on yourself. Many of the donors are in their twenties and can manage their money more freely. Besides, the site still gets revenue from you seeing ads. While the site probably couldn't stay up if nobody donated, what happens on the site (forums and gpx+) would be a lot less fun if "F2P" users didn't participate.

I agree with Aragarthiel that the plus system is great, but imo it's pretty tailored to a site like gpx+ that is very cooperative to begin with. Of course the ranking is competitive, but the most important aspect of the site - interactions - is something that you do but also rely on other users for. You always get something for your efforts, eg. levellig via pokewalker/battles, doing explorations, doing all kinds of things to improve your rank. But at the same time, many activities you do (clicking, breeding, sky gifts) benefit other users.

As Silver said, buying credits helps you - but I find it nice that it also helps the rest of us! :P
...and now I've talked myself into buying credits. Whoops.


Another big congratulations to Sam! I see so many people stressing over getting into a good Grad program (or are you Postgrad already? I forgot ), great job on yours!

Congrats on your shard! I knew I had forgotten something this week, and god darn it- it was the Pokéhunt

I have been pretty busy with designing and creating costumes for a ("revue" according to google translate) this week, and then suddenly the premiere happened and BOOM - a whole three weeks of potential reading for exams GONE

It was pretty hard work (we are talking; falling asleep at the nursery-room at the university and continueing sewing after 3 hours of sleep), but the costumes look Ah-mah-ziing so it was all worth it

I did miss alot of gpxplus-ing though, which is sorta sad (could really have used an insect shard )


As for the donating discussion; I donate because I hate ads. I also enjoy the plus goodies, but honestly, I just really, really, really hate ads. (even though it actually was an ad who led me to this wonderful page 5 years ago <3 <3 )

A reward that would benefit both sides would not work in those games. Nobody wants to give the opposing team a chance to win in such competitive games. And a reward that would benefit only your team is the type of microtransaction that the majority of the gaming community wants to be abolished. It works on GPX+ because we're not directly "fighting" each other and people can have different goals.

I never did get to download Corrin or Bayonetta cause no internets were to be had. Couldn't even do my online homework I did update my 3DS, it had preloaded an update a while ago, but said update had a bug and so I spent a tense half hour or so unbrickening it. I will get my smash tonight, though, so I'm looking forward to that!

Per donating to the site, I haven't, and I won't in the near future (since I have no money for that). If / when I donate it wouldn't be for a plus; any amount of credits that would make any significant difference to a plus would be way too expensive. It'd probably be to block ads while supporting the site (as opposed to blocking ads like I currently do ).

Speaking of pluses, thanks to the donors who did fill up Honey+. Been waiting a long time for that.
