Appearance: Alex is about medium height for a girl, around 5 ft 5 inches tall. She's slim, and has long, brown hair, it goes down past her shoulders. She has big, chocolate brown eyes, and is very pretty. She doesn't wear make up as she has natural beauty. She wears a green blouse, with the top button or two undone, and she has a black medium jacket that she wears if the weather is cold. She wears a medium length, dark coloured skirt, occasionally wearing trousers, depending on what the weathers like. She has slim, slender legs, and wears sneakers. She also wears a leather bracelet on her right arm, and a black necklace.

Personality: Alex is a confident girl, who can go from chatty to quiet in an instant. She is fascinated by both people and pokemon, with the latter oftentimes taking priority. When she's with her friend Oran, the two of them spend their time constantly bouncing off one another, usually joking around and insulting each other. She cares about her pokemon as much as she does for Oran, and for her parents. When meeting new people, Alex often makes the first move, to try and make friends. She doesn't like to fall out with people, but her chatty nature and constant bright outlook often annoys people who don't know her. To her credit though, she rarely fails to raise a smile on anyone's face.

Biography: Alex was born to a loving mother and father who had wanted a child more than anything in the world. However, they only wanted the one due to their love of pokemon. As a result, Alex was surrounded by pokemon pretty much from birth. As a result of this, she is fascinated with studying every type of pokemon, and is always looking for new types.

When she was seven years old, she and her father went out to search for a pokemon of her very own. They were wandering around the city for a while, when they turned down an alleyway, and spotted a Chikorita being ravaged by two Rattata's. Her father immediately leapt into action, sending out his Machop, who scared the Rattata's off, and Alex walked towards the poor pokemon. It was covered in bite marks, and was cowering in the corner. She moved closer to it, and put her hand out to try and pet it. The Chikorita, scared, used razor leaf, and cut Alex's arm. Undeterred, Alex picked the pokemon up and stroked its back. This immediately calmed the pokemon down, and eventually Alex managed to put it into a pokeball. She called the pokemon 'Chi', and spent her time nursing it back to health. They soon forged a strong bond, and Chi is now very protective of Alex.

When she was 11, Alex and Chi were walking through the city when she noticed a Shinx wandering around. She'd never seen one before, and so set off in pursuit, as she wanted to study it and capture it. As they neared the city limits, the Shinx suddenly stopped. Alex caught up with it and looked at it closely. As she got out her pokeball, she noticed a large shadow drop over her. Turning around, there was a huge snake-like pokemon with metal plates all around it. Alex stood in front of Chi and the Shinx, and stared at the pokemon. It roared at her, and was coiled to strike, when suddenly a boy and his pokemon ran out and tackled the pokemon. There was a loud thud, and a crunch, and the boy fell to the ground. He was unconcious, and the pokemon turned its attentions to him. Alex screamed out, and both Chi and the Shinx attempted to hurt the pokemon, both failing to make an impact. The boy's pokemon was stood in front of him, trying to stop it from hurting its owner. A man heard the fracas, and managed to scare the pokemon off. The man then ran off to get help, leaving Alex to tend to the boy. She also managed to capture the Shinx, which she called 'Shi'

The boy recovered, and Alex and him soon became firm friends. She found out his name was Oran, and the two of them became firm friends. When Alex turned 16, she and Oran decided to leave to explore the world.
