I used to have Red Gyarados, Mewtwo, Arceus, Garchomp, Feralligator, and Blastoies, now I use mt old Platinum team, save Garentina, who is replaced with a Pikachu (leveling up).

Feraligatr, Meganium, Flygon, Tyranitar, Crobat, and Raichu. I know, ice can kill most of it, but it's still my best team.

Get a good mix of types so you can cover most things. If your starter isnt water you should use a duel type water pokemon such as Lanturn or Poliwrath. Hmm Im just gonna give you my choices on best types to pick for ingame.
Water:Feralgatr Lanturn Poliwrath Mantine Electric:Hmm Magnezone or Electrode would be your best bet if you didnt go with Lanturn. Ampharos also but I don't really like it much Grass:Meganium Vileplume...tangelas evo cant think of any others Fire: Typhlosion Magmorter Arcanine Bug:Scizor Pinsir Yanmega Flying:If you use one dont use farfetch'd its... no just stick with pidgeot fearow or noctowl. you can also use gligar/gliscor line but thats just me rock:golem..err golem steel: steelix scizor dark: umbreon tyranitar which is later ghost:gengar Misdrevus can be fun to use which can be found early in safari zone psychic:starmie alakazam espeon.. umm hypno maybe? poison: ariados weezing muk ground: Donphan gligar line fighting:machamp hitmonlee normal:tauros miltank..clefable? ice:jynx mammothwine thing weavile now if your looking for an early tem then id go with Typhlosion-Noctowl-Tauros-Lanturn-Grass time-scyther/scizor (if you have trade) My team on HG is Typhlosion Noctowl Dunsparce Tauros Gligar Mantine -------------------- |

Mewtwo, Persian, Arbok, Gangar, Feraligatr and Charizard. I base my pokemon around my likes mainly because I don't have WiFi and can't really seriously fight. I prefer just keeping my team of my favourites and training then all to lv 100 (only one left).

I mostly stick with my favorites, but I try to go for balance too.
On SS, I currently have an Empoleon, Blaziken, Giratina, Darkrai ( Recently aquired so I'm raising it a bit. Usually that slot is reserved for my fly HM slave/a flying type. ), Torterra, and my beloved Groudon ( He can wipe out a variety of types on his own since he knows fire, grass, and ground type moves. <3 ) Occasionally, I'll switch around with my Typhlosion, Luxray, and Absol. The levels, I'm a bit ashamed to say, are all over the place. Most of mine are in the low 40s/high 30s level wise, because I'm lazy when it comes to grinding and usually win through a combo of Groudon and type exploitation. Groudon's my strongest any way you look at it, because he's my only level 100. ( That's what you get when you've had a pokemon for over 7 years LOL ) And no, I don't EV train. I don't even know what the heck it is other than a ton of math. College calculus is all greek to me so I'm not even going to TRY and understand some complicated math to get better at a game I play for FUN. >.> On HG, I'm not even to the third badge yet ( I've played this one a LOT less than SS, I got SS first. ) so my team isn't all that special yet, but I've got a Croconaw, Grotle, Luxio, Combusken, Giratina, and Dialga. ( Yes I like Giratina. ) LOL I am going to have fun and frustration on HG, because my all powerful Groudon is stuck on SS. My levels are actually more balanced because of that. On HG, I'm actually taking my time to level up my team for a change. That's one of the reasons I haven't gotten very far yet. Meh. I might trade in my battle battalion from diamond when I get the chance. When I do that I'll be using a Raichu, an Absol, a Latias, and a Walrein, as well as two as-of-yet-undecided pokemon. My advice to you, PinkUrban, is to play with your favorites, but play it smart too. If you want to use a legendary in game, it's your game so by golly, use that darned legendary! Like I do with my groudon! But it never hurts to teach your pokemon moves of different types, to cover a weakness so that it can potentially stand alone if it needs to. My Groudon, for example, knows Earthquake, Eruption, and Solarbeam, so it can get a super effective hit even against a lot of types a ground pokemon would normally be weak against. My Raichu knows dig, so it can take down a lot of rock or rock-ground types that it would normally struggle against. ( I hate when the AI uses earthquake or magnitude while I'm underground. But that hasn't happened to me too often. ) Well. This turned out longer than I meant it too. I was actually just trying to kill time while a youtube video buffered so I'm going to shut up and go watch that now. -------------------- |

I have Typhlosion, Lugia, Parasect, Kingler, and Staraptor. I don't choose "cool" Pokemon, I choose the ones I love best, just like how Karen says.

At this moment, I have Metagross, Shiny Typhlosion, Shiny Meganium, Empoleon, and Dragonair in my team. I already know of my gigantic weakness to Ground and Ice Moves. Which is why I'm already making a replacement team as well.

Espeon(Shiny): Lvl: 35 Attacks: Sand Attack Swift Confusion Quick Attack Ursaring(Shiny): Lvl: 41 Attacks: Night Slash Slash ??? ???( can't remeber) And Can someone tell me how to teach it Body Slam. I would prefer it over Return Slacking, Steelix, Metagross, Haunter: All level 1( Yes they are Hacked) Its A pretty diverse team. I can't wait till I'm finished with it -------------------- |

Crobat, Weavile, Swampert, Rotom, Oddish (yes, an Oddish), and Kabutops. (Sometimes I replace the Oddish with a Vileplume for serious battling, but other than that...)
My HM slaves are Salamence and Bibarel. ..Oh, and now I have a SS team (: I haven't traded anything, just used Pokemon I pick up as I go along. It's almost more fun this way: Quilava, Graveler, Furret, Crobat, Espeon, and this random Poliwhirl.. I picked her up as a Poliwag when I just needed something to Surf, intending to trade her out for something stronger later, but she's surprised me... I beat Jasmine single-handedly using Poliwag, and she was under-leveled. Poliwhirl has become an HM slave now, though :/ This post has been edited by Galactic Boss Cyrus: Feb 17 2011, 11:20 AM -------------------- |
