Okay, another newbie's question, can we make an NPC? Do we have to make the profile of the NPC?
NPCs are pretty common around PANE. They range from the permanent fixture to the recurring guest star. There are only two rules regarding NPCs (that I know of)
1) They may not take part in gym battles or contest battles. These activities are reserved for player characters only. Due to the nature of contests, they may join in on the appeal round.
2) The average level of their pokemon must be no higher than the average level of the PC's pokemon. Nor may they have one or two pokemon that are significantly higher than anyone else's in your group's pokemon, and then others that are much lower, evening the average out. (for example, if you have an average level of 20 on your team, and your NPC has 4 pokemon, that NPC's pokemon cannot be a 30 mudkip, a 30 torchic, a 10 caterpie and a 10 weedle. Their pokemon must be more or less in line with yours, unless all of them are significantly lower (for example, if your average level is 20, and the the NPC's is 10, that's OK.)
Also, it is a good idea to make sure their battling is not more than yours, as your battle score will be awarded for YOUR battling, not theirs.
It is a good idea to make a profile for them on the wiki, but there is no profile requirement for the board.
I mean... The NPC I plan is to make my character to meet each other, only for events, not being a companion.
The guidelines I've provided still apply. We have several of these "guest star" NPCs, see Reilly Combs on the PANE Wiki for an example.
