Well, you might as well link to the help page, because you can find the type chart that that is actually used on the site there. There are only a few differences from the game, but it's worth mentioning the help page, since there's other information on there as well.

All I know is, don't bring fairies or fighting types to Karen's Dark Party. You WILL get Gengar'd and Vileplume'd. Instead, I would try an Alakazam with Vacuum Wave, or a Dugtrio or Skarmory.

I actually did take Sawk to fight Karen, but my Sawk is equipped with an ice gem, so Vileplume wasn't really much of an issue. I also took Azumarill, which handled Houndoom just fine. The last one I took was Zergoose, so between those three, Karen wasn't much trouble. Shauntal (non-rematch) destroyed me because she kept getting crits, but then I beat, and the rest of the league, just fine in the rematch battle. Tip: try to bring someone with Haze to most battles. You're probably going to need it. -------------------- |

Tip: try to bring someone with Haze to most battles. You're probably going to need it. THIS! Seriously, be prepared and bring a fast mon with Haze just in case. I've lost to Steven because of that. Also, for example, against a dark type E4 trainer, don't bring just pure fighting types. Try to cover dark type weaknesses and have a backup plan if things go south. -------------------- |

Notable for the Alder fight:
Gyarados is godlike, as it beats all three of Alder's bugs and can charge up and sweep the rest of his team fairly efficiently. The only real worry is his Druddigon there, and a good Fairy will finish the job. -------------------- |

Question: do the elite 4 members battling with 3 Pokémon only have those 3 Pokémon, or do they have the 5/6 Pokémon they have in the games that are randomly picked from at the beginning of a match (like the BS trainers)?
I let myself get caught off guard too many times so I only have three combs so far At least at some point I realised that many ice types are also water types :P -------------------- |

Shauntal (non-rematch) destroyed me because she kept getting crits, but then I beat, and the rest of the league, just fine in the rematch battle. I want to comment on Shauntal because her Froslass with its Fighting Gem and speed destroyed my team, which I totally wasn't expecting (I was counting on Zergoose to sweep, so I used Swords Dance, and wasn't expecting that with a Speed-boosting nature Froslass could outspeed another pokemon when I tried for another boost). Guess I expected an easier first match to make it more accessible to people lol. -------------------- |

That Froslass is kind of annoying, yes. I did manage to beat the Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova Leagues this time around, but I lost to Karen, again. I was prepared for her Gengar now, but for some reason, I forgot about that Vileplume. I'll have to wait a couple more hours now to take on the rematch teams.

Little quirk with some of the stat spammers, if you continuously Haze them they keep stat spamming. Ended up 12% Mega Mawile vs. Charizard and beat it out by Haze spamming so Leftovers got me back to full and just Metal Claw->Hazed for the win.
Johto Lance might need some help, started Dragonite v. Plusle and he switched to Gyarados, back to Dragonite when it died, then switched out to Charizard and back to Dragonite when it died, then switched to Aerodactyl. Took out half the team without Lance ever issuing an attack. This one's a nitpick rather than a screwy AI, Shauntal the First shows up after the Johto League, while all the others, including Grimsley afterwards, are in the correct spots. Buggy stuff out of the way, that friggin Steelix. Brought in Darmanitan the first time expecting it, only to get crit and lose the match, then brought Darmanitan and Sawk for round two, only for both to get crit and one shot. Steelix v. Ninjask is not a matchup I wanted to see twice. This post has been edited by Cajun: May 14 2015, 10:06 AM -------------------- Inactive but still drop by sometimes. I'm definitely going to need to pack some speedier Pokemon and/or Agility; Gary's entire party outsped everyone on my team except for Jolteon, and even then Venusaur surprised me with Agility. I think I'll bring Haze along once I recruit a Dugtrio or someone else to the group.

Ok well, this is what I encountered. If anybody could help me finish off the rematch entries that would be great. Will be interesting to see if any of them change.. have included any items I've seen (but if anybody has seen anything I've missed then let me know!)
Some Pokémon I didn't really have a chance to see if they had any items, but if you're going to be looking at my guide, I'd like to say make sure you've got stuff to resist every type possible. If I'm not allowed to post everything in the spoiler, then I apologise and accept its removal. Spoilers. You've a typo there, Sam. It's Lance instead of Drake in the Kanto rematch. He has Kingdra, Aerodactyl and something else that I didn't get to see the last time.

Will add it in and put the post in the thanks oh and I just assumed Diantha's team is the same as in-game [makes sense] so I filled that in earlier. Am still confused by Johto's lack of rematches? I always thought rematch teams were possible in hgss? e: there are second match things so, unsure why there isn't any! Everyone has their ingame teams actually, just not complete teams for the ones with only 3 mon.
And I guess there's no Johto Rematch because there are only 9 combs. And here's my item list so far: Lots of leftovers! (click to show )
