RP THREAD HERE!

*facepalm* No, not the Pocahontas-In-Space "Avatar", the epic pseudo-anime "Avatar"! =P

It has been roughly a century-and-a-half since Avatar Aang and his allies brought down Fire Lord Ozai and restored balance to the world. Both Aang and Fire Lord Zuko have been dead for at least fifty years.
One year prior to the present day, a man from the Northern Water Tribe was rumored to be on the brink of a strange new discovery when he was found murdered in his home. Burn marks were found on his body. Anzin, a Firebender who had taken up residence in the Tribe, was immediately accused of manslaughter, found guilty, and imprisoned for life. Throughout all of this, Anzin insisted that he was innocent, but his cries fell upon deaf ears...
All except for two ears: those of the deceased’s teenage son, Koryu.
Koryu is convinced that Anzin is innocent. Nevertheless, he wants vengeance and closure. Who really killed his father? What was this revolutionary discovery he was on the verge of revealing? Was his father’s death even murder?
To answer these questions, and more, Koryu leaves his home in the Northern Water tribe to seek out the Avatar, rumored to be in the Southern Water Tribe, to help him in his quest. This is no easy feat, however, so he will need help along the way, from all four Nations.

History: Koryu was brought up in what could be considered a middle-class home. His family wasn’t really anybody of significance, but they were well-known and liked in the Northern Tribe. He discovered he was a Waterbender at age 4 and studied Waterbending with others under the tutelage of Mistress Kya, the granddaughter of Aang and Katara, for eight years. At age 12, he and his classmates graduated from the class. Koryu went on to be a sentry at the gates to the city, often wondering what lay beyond the frozen North Pole. When his father died, he resigned from his post and became a recluse, living in the shadows of the city.

Appearance: Has the tan skin, blue eyes, and short dark hair styled into a short ponytail typical of Waterbenders. Is slightly taller than the norm for his age, with lean, sinewy muscles. He often has shadows under his eyes from staying up late practicing Waterbending or kayaking. His face seems to be frozen in a permanent scowl or frown—he hasn’t been known to smile since the death of his father. Always keeps a flask of water tied to his hip, even though there’s plenty of water where he is. He has rather large feet.

Personality: Koryu had once been a fun-loving and cheery person, very outgoing and caring. Unfortunately, that part of him died along with his father, with whom he was very close. Now, the only things he is known to enjoy are solitude and silence. He spends all of his waking hours wandering throughout the city in somber thought and reverie, or kayaking or practicing his Waterbending. If you ever get him to talk, it will usually be short, one-sentence responses, often just telling the other person to leave him alone. He is sarcastic and cold, and can turn rather violent at a moment’s notice.

Other: He doesn’t think much of politics, believing it to be long-winded and somewhat unnecessary.

Name: Mayumi
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Nationality: Northern Water Tribe
Bender?: Yes; Water. She has recently been practicing Water Thermokinesis.

History: Mayumi was born into quite a socially popular family, since her father was a high ranking warrior for the tribe, while her mother was a healer. Her father however, died in a great battle with pride when Mayumi was only 5 years old. When Mayumi learned of the water bending powers she possessed, she was always expected to be trained as a proper female bender as a healer, but she wanted more than that. Mayumi practiced her water bending as an offense and defense when she was supposed to go to healer classes, wanting to be a female warrior rather than just a healer in a hospital. She finally convinced her mother that she was old enough to choose what she wanted to be, and was free to stay or leave the village whenever she wished.

Appearance: Mayumi Is shorter that average for her age, only standing at 4'9" and weighing at 106 lbs. She usually has her long black hair in a ponytail, with some of her hair strands beaded with white and blue beads, and the ponytail is pinned up a little at the top-back of her head, in a little bun. As for her clothes, Mayumi wears a two-sided skirt cut up to her thighs on both sides, with tight fitting cloth pants under them, which go down longer than the skirt does. Her shirt is two layered tank tops, but she always wears a winter coat over top when she is at the North Pole, but doesn't wear it in warmer weather.

Personality: Though she belongs to a 'socially rich' family, Mayumi never acts like she is better than anyone else, and because of that, she is a very down to earth person. She is quite the rebel however, never wanting to do what her mother wanted, always wanting to do her own thing. Mayumi can be sarcastic and joking around, but she can be serious too. She can usually be seen with a smile on her face, hardly ever grumpy.

Other: Mayumi keeps a flask of water in her left boot for times she isn't at the North Pole, even though she has never went so far south there wasn't any water supply. She keeps it in her boot at all times, even though there is always a water supply in the area.

Earth Kingdom:

Name: Kira
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Nationality: Earth Kingdom
Bender?: Yes, mainly Earthbending, but she is learning to use Seismic Sense.
Alternate weapons: None.

History: Kira was originally born in Ba Sing Se, but her parents decided to move to a less crowded city to raise her in. They couldn't quite find the perfect place, and they would never stay in one city for more than 3 or 4 months. Along the way, Kira learned Earthbending by sneaking away from home at night and visiting wild Badgermoles, who had eventually learned to trust her. Kira had the technique mastered by age 13. When they moved to their current home in Makapu, a young Addapard followed her along the way, so she decided to keep the new creature as a pet.

Appearance: Kira is at the normal height of 5'7'', and she weighs about 109 lbs. She has thin brown hair that reaches slightly past her shoulders, which is fairly short for a girl since she recently cut it. She has a small section of her hair tied back in a bright green tie. She has green eyes, which appear to match the dark green colors of her Earth Kingdom outfit. She wears a bright green shirt and leggings under a darker green vest and skirt. She also has white wrappings around her wrists and lower legs. Her shoes match the greens of her outfit.

Personality: Most of the time, Kira is a prankster. She's not very good at it, however, so she usually acts sarcastic and clueless to make herself appear innocent. Kira often finds herself getting in trouble, and she likes to blame others for things that she's done. Because of this, she usually finds herself making more enemies than friends.

Other: She has a pet Addapard, which is about the size of a Winged-lemur. His name is Dojo.

History: Kuma was born into a military family. His father is a Commander and his mother is a Nurse Practitioner. Kuma was raised to join the military by the age of thirteen. When he finally turned that age he soon learned that the military life style was not for him. So on his entrance exam he bombed it on purpose. Ashamed Kuma's father exiled him to the outskirts of the kindom in the slums and left him for dead. Kuma then vowed to prove to his father he wasnt worthless out side of the military.

Appearance: 6' tall and 200 lbs of solid muscle. Wears a green tunic with a black long sleeve under shirt. His golden yellow pants are little bit flowy to make bending easier on him. His hair is an rare blonde spiked short. A tatoo of the earth symbol on the bottom of each of his feet. No shoes (feet are on the large side).

Personality: Kuma is rough around the egdes. Dont get on his bad side. In your face type fighter. Hungry for adventure. Leader like speech but dont put it to use. Does his own thing unless your doing the same thing or he is very into what you asking him to join.

Other (optional): Has a runt Badgermole that is half the size of a normal one. Kuma took him in after it was abandoned as a cub by its mother. Named it Stubs because of its short runt tail.

Age: 17
Nationality: Earth Kingdom
Bender?: Earthbender
Alternate weapons: Nuh-uh

History: Born and raised in the Earth Kingdom, he had no significant family, or occupation, or anything. To be blunt, he was just an average person. Aside for the fact that he was an illegal Earthbender in his small village in Hayashi Town. Having to keep his abilities a secret for many years nearly drove him insane. Soon, he after becoming "one with nature" and training his powers, he acquired the ability to manipulate nature itself--growing plants instantaneously, etc.--and then he mastered this strange power, and no one, not even his parents have found out.

After about seven months of this new ability's creation, he had heard rumors of a Water Tribe member that was on the verge of discovering something new and amazing, had been killed. Intense burn marks covered his body, and a lone firebender that lived there was accused of this crime, and sentenced to life in prison. Leif himself could really care less for the occurrences in the Water TRibes, he thought it was ridiculous and stupid for a firebender to be accused just because of the burns. The discoverer's son was 100 percent convince it was not he that had committed the crime was going to solve this puzzle,a nd release his father. Leif then decided it would help lift the burden off his shoulders of the legallity issue of his powers, and also because he had nothing better to do.

So he set out for the Water Tribes...

Appearance: Dark golden-green hair with black random streaks that comes below his jawline; his hangs hang over his eyes in a "emo-style swoosh".
Wearing the typical attire of a normal Asian villager, but oddly on his chest in the marking that is rumored to be the symbol of the great Nature Goddess herself. He wears black gloves void of all fingers, minus his thumb.
He is around 5'10", and 135lbs. He has a very feminine figure, shoulders, curves, and even hands, and feet. You'd expect him to be a woman from the back, but further inspection shows that he does not own the breasts of a female (that seems to funny... had to put it ).
His footings are dark green, and have many silver swirls spiraling around them.

Personality: Many womanly in mannerisms. He can take on a very girly tone when being a sarcastic smart-ass. Normally though, he is very secluded, and hidden from most people, and doesn't normally converse with others, even when spoken too. But if you are of the lucky few whom gains his trust and respect, don't expect him to be like that to you; he'll talk your ear off if given the chance.

He is very determined, once he's set his mind to do something, there's nothing on Earth or Heaven that'll change his mind; translating into: he is very stubborn.
He has many fears: the dark, snakes, the thought of he'll die, etcetera. Main foods of his liking are lots of spicy foods, and those greasy, and unhealthy ones. He's a very humorous person, though he can't tell a joke to save his life, he can find humor in the most non-humorous of things... like the thought of someone's face collapsing in on itself from sucking on something way-sour.
Some of his petpeeves are of the following: Hatred--doesn't understand how people can hate; jealousy and envy--why would you want to do something, be something, or have something that can't be?; And last: being teased on what he is--not only is he an earthbender, but he is gay--or his likes.

Other (optional): I've already stated, but I have to repeat: He can manipulate not only earth, but nature.

Fire Nation:

Name: Kojuro, usually nicknamed Koja.
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Nationality: Fire Nation
Bender?: Yes, Firebending.
Alternate weapons: Bow and arrows.

History: Kojuro's parents were of different nationalities; his father was a Firebender, while his mother belonged to the Earth Kingdom. His parents did their best to keep everything a secret, allowing him to be raised by his mother because he resembled an Earthbender. However, when Kojuro began to 'play with fire' and nearly burned down the house, his mother took him to live with his father in the Fire Nation.
He was raised as a normal Fire Nation child, despite the fact he looked nothing like one. However, when he was 15, the secret of his origin was revealed, and his father was placed in prison for it. Kojuro would have gone along with him, but he ran away before anyone could find him. Ever since then, he has managed to survive by settling in the Northern Water Tribe, despite the accusations made against him for being different.

Appearance: Kojuro is around 5'8'', and he weighs around 136 lbs. One of his most eyecatching features is his blond hair, which seems to go slightly past his ears, managing to reach his jaw. His eyes are usually light brown in color, but they appear to have darkened to a more blackish brown over the years. To cover up his normal clothing, Kojuro wears a black hooded shirt, along with black arm protectors. His pants will usually be black as well.
More often than not, Kojuro will be seen wearing casual Earth Kingdom attire to keep his identity hidden; a dark long-sleeved shirt along with pants, covered by a cloak sporting the dark and light green colors of the Earth Kingdom. However, on rare occasions, Kojuro will wear a red vest along with red pants that cut off at the ankles to show that he is originally from the Fire Nation.

Personality: Kojuro has always been quiet, even though he can be very aggressive at times. He prefers to handle situations on his own, even though he is usually outnumbered. He is a strong and brave leader, although he doesn't usually step up and take control. He is an expert at keeping quiet and staying out of other peoples' business.

Other (optional): He usually prefers to use his weapons instead of his Firebending, although his bending is much more powerful.

Name: Ayane
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Nationality: Fire Nation
Bender?: No
Alternate weapons: She uses twin crescent daggers Also, she is trained in the fighting style used for fire bending (northern Shaolin King Fu)

History: Ayane grew up in the capital of the Fire nation, her family one of the more affluent ones, she had an extremely comfortable life growing up. Except for the fact that her four elder brothers could bend fire and she couldn't. However she did try, however futile her attempts were, she only managed to burn herself. However, she still trained with her brothers when they were practicing. Soon becoming skilled in the fighting style, even if she couldn't send bursts of fire flying at her opponents.
When she was twelve, She was given her daggers by an anonymous traveler. He didn't say anything to her except, "Make good use of these, I have no more need of them."
She was suspicious, but took the daggers anyway. However she didn't use them for a long time. they just lay, hidden in a box under her bed.
Even so, the temptation of the weapons grew, She began practicing in the dead of night. This worked for a few years, until her second eldest brother, Kuromaru, caught her sneaking out.
He told her that he had been watching her for a while and was impressed with her skill with the weapons. He wanted to test his strength against her with her weapons.
She agreed.
The fight began and she seemed to be disadvantaged at first, it was all she could do to not get hit by his fire. At least until she managed to land a hit on his shoulder, the blade sliced easily through his flesh, barely a fleck of blood on the weapon, it even took Kuromaru a moment to figure out what had happened.
But after that injury, it had become harder for him to land blows, his movements were slower. but he could still launch fire at her.
She managed to get in close to land another blow, however, she missed her intended mark, some powerful force took over her and instead of aiming for his arm like she had intended, she had slashed him, from his throat to his chest. Again, with the cut so swift and clean it took a moment before blood sprayed out, splattering Ayane, waking her from whatever force had possessed her. her brother collapsed seconds later.
He lay, dying, unable to speak, but his fearful eyes reflected her own horrified expression.
She stood for a moment horrified with what she had done before she had fled. there was nothing else she could do.
She changed her name and appearance. and has been running ever since, rarely staying in one place for too long. She could not bring her self to get rid of the daggers, instead, carrying them with her as a reminder for her sin, and so that the weapons do not fall into the hands of another.

Appearance: Ayane has short black hair and Golden eyes that look somewhat hollowed, making her seem as though she is older than she really is. She wears a short Scarlet yukata and black shorts. She carries a dagger on each side of her waist, On her arms are several small burn scars. She wears simple sandals on her feet and bandages around her ankles and calves.
Personality: Ayane is a reserved person. she rarely speaks to others an usually travels alone. She can't stand injustice however, In her own unspoken way she tries to help. to maybe atone a little for what she had done. She fears that by some far-off chance, some one would recognize her. So therefore, she keeps to herself

Other (optional): She will almost never use her weapons, even if her life s in danger.

Air Nomads:

Name: Mimi Linne
Age: 15
Nationality: Air Nomads; Southern Temple
Bender?: No
Alternate weapons: She has a whip; the rope to the whip is hidden inside the handle and is sent out by the force of movement. She also has a small dagger, but prefers the whip.

History:Mimi always lived on the edge of the city of the Air Temple. Not many air nomads populate the mountain, and few are air benders. Her father was born and raised in the Southern Temple just as Mimi was, but her mother was from the Fire Nation. Because of this, Mimi was an outcast and the other children didn't what to associate with her in any way. Recently, she left the Air Temple and traveled to the Earth Kingdom, a flying bison taking her there, then returning to it's home. Mimi is currently roaring the Earth Kingdom, never fitting in because of her split nationalities.

Appearance: Mimi has light brown air, long enough that she wears it in one braid. She has bangs, but her arrow is still noticeable. Her clothes are of the Air Nomad's colors; orange and yellow. Her shirt is long sleeved and baggy, and the collar goes in inch upward, loosely around her neck. Mimi's pants go down to her ankles and are just as baggy as her shirt. The arrows on her hands are more noticeable than on her head, and so are the ones on her feet, because she wears sandals.

Personality: Mimi is more of a quiet type of person, and doesn't like to take the rule of a leader. She has had plenty of time to practice her weapon skills, and is good with her whip; she wont hesitate to use it. Mimi is use to being alone and is comfortable that way. She doesn't like crowds, and prefers to stay in the back of them. If a fight that does come up requires her to use her dagger she will, but only if it is life-threatening.

I would have picked Air or Fire to fill those places, but I always saw myself as Earth or Water, so I'd better relate with them. Saw all the anime eps.. applying for this RP... Avatar movie this summer? Epic.

Our school's computers are always under close watch by teachers. I probably wouldn't be able to get past the content blocks anyway. But I'm on break right now, too.

Name: Kojuro, usually nicknamed Koja.
Age: 17
Nationality: Fire Nation
Bender?: Yes, Firebending.
Alternate weapons: Bow and arrows.

History: Kojuro's parents were of different nationalities; his father was a Firebender, while his mother belonged to the Earth Kingdom. His parents did their best to keep everything a secret, allowing him to be raised by his mother because he resembled an Earthbender. However, when Kojuro began to 'play with fire' and nearly burned down the house, his mother took him to live with his father in the Fire Nation.
He was raised as a normal Fire Nation child, despite the fact he looked nothing like one. However, when he was 15, the secret of his origin was revealed, and his father was placed in prison for it. Kojuro would have gone along with him, but he ran away before anyone could find him. Ever since then, he has managed to survive by settling in the Northern Water Tribe, despite the accusations made against him for being different.

Appearance: Kojuro is around 5'8'', and he weighs around 136 lbs. One of his most eyecatching features is his blond hair, which seems to go slightly past his ears, managing to reach his jaw. His eyes are usually light brown in color, but they appear to have darkened to a more blackish brown over the years. To cover up his normal clothing, Kojuro wears a black hooded shirt, along with black arm protectors. His pants will usually be black as well.
More often than not, Kojuro will be seen wearing casual Earth Kingdom attire to keep his identity hidden; a dark long-sleeved shirt along with pants, covered by a cloak sporting the dark and light green colors of the Earth Kingdom. However, on rare occasions, Kojuro will wear a red vest along with red pants that cut off at the ankles to show that he is originally from the Fire Nation.

Personality: Kojuro has always been quiet, even though he can be very aggressive at times. He prefers to handle situations on his own, even though he is usually outnumbered. He is a strong and brave leader, although he doesn't usually step up and take control. He is an expert at keeping quiet and staying out of other peoples' business.

Other (optional): He usually prefers to use his weapons instead of his Firebending, although his bending is much more powerful.

Wow, we have a lot of 'K' names, don't we? Fire Nation, FTW!
