Welcome to The Dex Breeding Brigade!
Where our goal is to get the shelter to 214 unique eggs (and hopefully keep it there). Why 214? Because that's the number of breedable non-novelty eggs there are on GPX (for now :P). As many of you might know, it can be difficult to find those last few eggs you need for your Egg Dex, or to find a suitable breeding partner for your finicky Pokemon, or to even find eggs for your shiny hunts. While some groups cater to one Pokemon or to novelties, this group is designed to keep track of how many members are breeding [Insert Pokemon Species Here], and which species need more "love". There may not be much to do in this group, but that's one of it's benefits. You can easily be a member here, and be an active part of other groups, just as long as you're contributing eggs to the shelter to help reach our goals. Breeding Guidelines: A. You do not have to breed a species you don't like for the sake of it. Preferably, you should breed a species you LIKE. (a general tip to keep in mind) B. You don't have to donate all of your eggs. If you're shiny hunting, you can continue to take an egg from your breeding pair, just so long as you're donating at least one egg to the shelter. C. If you're breeding Novelties, you can sign up for breeding the regular Pokemon at the same time (I.E. Slugma if you're breeding Slime Slugmas), thus effectively killing two birds with one stone. D. I'd prefer if you would breed a Pokemon with another of the opposite gender (Two Bulbasaurs rather than a Bulbasaur and a Charmander), but it is not required (nor can it be done with non-gendered Pokemon) E. You do not need a Silph Scope or a Destiny Knot to be a part of this group. F. Try not to change your daycare Pokemon too often (it's not good for daycare romance, or my time altering the list) G. If someone PM's you requesting you inform them of a future drop of Daycare eggs, it is entirely up to YOU whether you want to accept or not. H. Try not to breed Pokemon that already have a lot of people breeding them. A good rule of thumb if you aren't sure, 3 is usually plenty of breeders. I. If you need to take a break from breeding for others, please fill out the Vacation form. When you return just fill out the breeding pair change form (with N/A or Vacation for old breeding pair). J. If you change your username on GPX, inform me via PM. Brigade Rules: 1. General Forum Rules apply. (and to reiterate the forum rules, PLEASE report rule breaking rather than confronting it yourself) 2. Do NOT post on here requesting a specific Pokemon Egg to be dropped for you. If you want to set up a private drop, PM a member who's breeding the Pokemon in question. Please note that it is entirely up to the member whether they accept or not, and please respect their decision if they decline. 3. Only post daycare changes if it has been a week or more since the last time you posted with a change. If it has been less than a week since your last posted Daycare change, PM me to inform me of the change, DO NOT post it again. 4. Brigade Staff will post changes to the Shelter's general number of unique eggs on occasion. Members SHOULD NOT spam those numbers just to post (I don't want to see "Whee, we got to 156!" "156? That's awesome. *high five*"). Make sure you have a reason to post besides that, and THEN feel free to discuss. Posts that don't follow this rule will be deemed Spam. 5. Okay, some new things have happened in the past two weeks, so I thought it'd deserve a new post.
We are now affiliated with The Shimmering Competition. For those of you who don't know about this group (have you been hiding under a rock?), they're all about hunting and racing against fellow members to get shinies. The group is a lot of fun, and I suggest you join the group if you can (just be sure to follow thew rules), though you don't have to join them if you don't want to. This affiliation will hopefully mean more members to our group, and more breeders to breed Pokemon to help with shiny hunts, so if all goes well, both groups will benefit from this. If any other group owners out there wish to affiliate with The Dex Breeding Brigade, feel free to PM me (be sure to include a link to your group please. In other news, I have finally gotten around to at least making a temporary userbar for members, so feel free to put it in your sig if possible.
