WHY has no one ever thought of creating an actual TV series about zombies?! We've had zombie film after zombie film, but never really a zombie TV series (except Dead Set, but that was too short to really count).

Who's watched The Walking Dead, and what are your opinions on it?

I absolutely love it, and cannot get enough. I always watch it with my boyfriend, who also loves it, but it annoys him that nothing really happens until the last ten or so minutes of each episode xD

I *SO* knew from season one that Lori was pregnant with Shane's baby!

I really liked the first season of the show, but the second season has sucked. It's character development, I know, but it's slow, and the characters are showing an incredible amount of stupidity. >_>

The second season is too much like a soap opera and there wasn't exactly enough.. idk, action?
The first couple episodes of the second season were good and then it kinda.. went downhill.

that was the whole point of the second season though :p develop character, so that when, and if that character gets killed off, we'd feel something, instead of the usual "oh they're dead, oh well" kinda thing I guess xp

So far the episodes are pretty great, I'm very excited to see what's going to happen next (thanks to the lovely comic)

Ok, no offense to anybody here, this is only in the the show The Walking Dead. This statement is not true anywhere else, and only in the The Walking Dead TV Series:

The women in The Walking Dead are complete idiots!

Who drives off because TWO COMPLETELY CAPABLE people are gone for like an hour!? Then isn't even paying attention when driving!?!? Come one Lori! Grow a freaking brain!!

Andrea is a complete dipshit! They told you not too shoot, it could attract more Walkers!! But no, I'm going to be a badass and shoot the walking humanoid that I can hardly even see!!

The guys are also stupid as hell though too! Dale! Take all the guns, alone, into a forest where Walkers fall into a marsh and get stuck (where you'd slowly die) where you could lose the guns, or worse, get infected, with the guns! Shane? WTH! Calm down and control your anger!!!

the walking dead... it's not one of my favorite shows but i have a feeling it'll get better.

the first season was just atrocious. zombie action is not enough to keep me watching a show from the network that brought both mad men and breaking bad. i was planning on not watching the next season, but the comics made me want to give the second season a chance.

the second season isn't the greatest thing ever, but at least i no longer hate the entire cast. firing the writing staff has improved the series. it's unfortunate that there are still plenty of episodes where nothing significant happens until the last five minutes. baby steps i guess.

god, i hope shane doesn't die any time soon like he did in the comics. i LOVE him as a character (though not as a person)

Sideswipe, it's not season 3 yet, it's still on season 2. They just took a mid-season break for the Holidays.. I guess. =s

I'd actually feel happy if any of the dumb girls die. I don't know if that's what they intended, but that's awful character development, imo.

I still really want to see their past. What they were doing and where they were when the outbreak happened. I thought that's what this season was going to do, but so far nothing. =/

Though last Sunday's (19th) episode was really good. It was the first time in a long time I didn't actually feel any hate for anyone on the show. lol

The only female character in the entire show that I can actually stand is Carol.

Sadly for me I just started to watch with the newly released episodes (and the day long marathon of the first part of season 2)...so I have no clue, minus the whole mention here and there, how Season 1 was. =/

But I would have to agree with the whole 'dumb girls' comment. I have yet to feel any connection to any of them.

adding to the Lori car accident - Do you seriously think your husband would drive past a flipped over car without looking! ...but I guess if you sleep with a guy you automatically have to trust everything he says.

Im getting real mad at the show! It's getting boring, I think the need to move locations, nothing can really happen at the farm without them needing to change locations.

I'd really like to find out how this thing started though. I doubt it jsut appeared out of nowhere

Daryl was beginning to be my favourite character in the first half of the second season. Going from a tough Redneck, to a bit of a softie looking for little Sophia. Now he sits by a fire on his own in a sulk, shouting at Carol every now and again. Silly man.

And there's something about Shane that's starting to bug me...

Was anyone else hoping Rick would shoot Carl when he came into the barn? Well how about after his actions ended up getting Dale killed? Yeah... I don't understand why they killed him off. The Talking Dead said that he pretty much had to die, comparing him to Piggy from Lord of the Flies, as he was the moral voice. How does that justify him needing to die? @_@

Back to Carl, he's just getting annoying. Stop trying to act grown up, and let the grown ups handle things. .-.

I was so annoyed last night.
First, Rick. Now, I understand that he's supposed to be "humanity" essentially but why has he let Shane get away with so much? After everything he's done he hasn't received any punishment. Rick needs to stop rationalizing the things his friend is doing and realize that he's a serious threat to everyone around him. At least put the lunatic on a probation of some sort!

Second, Carl. This entire episode he was horrible. I was never a fan of the kids in the first place, it's a horrible time for kids to be around and Rick and Lori have done the bare minimun to get him ready for the things he's eventually going to have to face. The kids pretty much had two options: Get shielded by parents that won't accept the world has changed and suffer the consequences, which definitely didn't help Sophia's chances when she went missing! Everyone knew she was dead when they didn't find her the second episode she was missing. Or they could be given tools to survive, Carl has gun training but Lori and Rick shield him from so much that when he encounters a zombie he decides to play with it instead of destroy it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Carl should be a full fledged member of the group but he really needs to be taught more about the horrors of this new world.

Third. Dale. Dale oh Dale oh Dale.
My favorite character since I started watching in season one, I even got him on the personality quiz. Not gonna lie but I got a little attached to him and I certainly didn't expect him to die the way he did. You know a show is great when you act like an idiot while watching. I was yelling in disbelief, shock, annoyance, and even sadness for the entire scene. Dale was a great character and the dynamic of the group is really going to change without him.

Also, I'll miss seeing his warm cheerful face every episode.
Okay, maybe that's a little dramatic.

I actually think episode 12 would've made a great season finale, what with the bit of the cliffhanger it was left on, but episode 13 works, too. I'm starting to fall in love with Daryl a bit
