Semi-relatedly, does anyone else feel bad hatching and instantly releasing a legendary after an exploration? Since they nearly all end with you vowing to take great care of this new powerful egg and becoming the best of friends with it. Or safeguarding it. Or whatever. It occurs to me that I am not a very good trainer.

Though it's even worse when I end up corrupting them. 'Yeah, I'll protect this Adamant Orb from anyone who wants to abuse it!' Cue evil Dialgas popping up all over the place.

I thought I was the only one that did that? Even with event Pokemon; if it's not shiny or high-IV, I tend to release it. I mean, I don't need 5 of the same Legendary.

I don't have any 6th or 7th gen games, but chaining was my favorite method for shiny obtainment. It was grindy, but it was predictable. I failed often, but with enough perseverance, you'd get that shiny, and that was such a gratifying feeling.

Berry to Dedenne! Good luck. (Does anyone know what dictates which Arceus you're getting? I always seem to get the plate with the lowest alphabetical index.)

Three days now. Still no bite on the matchmaking request. That's just bizarre.

They're just a random selection. You'd also be better off just asking someone to race or something, might be quicker.

Thanks Sam. I'm on the final task now. Gonna take a few days to push through it.

I abandon legendaries all the time. I used to feel guilty about it really early on, but now I'm 65k plus released and I'm a monster. I have more to release as well whenever I get my PC organized. I'd really love a "sort by generation" feature.

And yeah, I feel like the 1 month and 23 days thing was just an arbitrary number that was put in for exploration length. I wouldn't mind seeing just how long some people take with TBD/DotW, though... I know people have taken over a year for each.

I think my record is about a year and a month exactly.
Motivation issues.

I haven't done TBD for that same reason.
I find DotW to be doable compared to TBD, but that's just my preference in tasks.

Kind of a random question, but does anyone have any dessert place recommendations? There's not much around where I live...My area of NorCal is a culinary wasteland apart from shoddily-made Vietnamese food, and one tends to get sick of that after a while. Even if it's not around where I live, I'm sure I'll get to it eventually. I hope.

@AregularFrankiefan: You're in NorCal? I reccommend Porto's! They have delicious cheese tarts and guava tarts!

Looks like I won the raffle! I hope you guys enjoy my choice. My dex has more holes than I realized so I think I'm gonna actually try to organize again.

Was there ever any social media posts about the new Pokemon being added? I never saw anything about this, and I'm just learning about this a week later? Gee thanks.

And now I can't even log in.

My Loves

I, too, won the raffle. First time for me. happy.gif Yay!

Regarding shiny hunting, I'm only really a fan of super straight forward shiny hunting methods while using the Shiny Charm. So basically the Friend Safaris and SOS stuff. Hatching eggs with the Masuda Method is okay, too, but it gets too repetitive for me, and so does soft resetting. Actually, they're all pretty repetitive for me... I'm just not that patient, I guess. Definitely not a fan of the Poké Radar as I was never good at it and it involved too much... well, thinking.

Dessert places in NorCal? Well, I've only been to the Bay Area and could recommend a few places there. Bi-Rite Creamery and Humphry Slocombe in SF are both excellent, and Fenton's over in Oakland is great, too. But it's hard to go wrong with any non-chain place over there.

Yeah, hopefully I can cap off my hunt too. I got a little passed 200 in my dex. Still missing a handful of Pokemon from them, including an Unown (U). I already have the dex data for it so it should be fun to get again. Good luck on your final day, everyone.

Never heard of it, so I'll definitely have to look it up. Thanks! I'm a sucker for guava haha

@Synx Itax : I've tried a few Humphry Slocombe ice creams; they sell some flavors in pints in grocery stores around here, and they're pretty tasty. I like their Blue Bottle Vietnamese Coffee and their Chocolate Smoked Sea Salt the best [may have gotten names slightly wrong there]. Haven't got around to visiting the actual place yet, but I will when I can think of an excuse to go to San Fran that doesn't pertain to a holiday. Think I might have been to Fenton's when I was small, but I can't remember for the life of me.

And yessss, more Honey+. Too bad I can't stay awake for the next whole day and a half to take advantage of this bounty, but oh well. Like I said, you win some, you lose some. And I don't think I'm winning this month's SWSH, so I'm hoping the Prizes will be available a different way.

I was wondering when the raffle would be drawn. I'll have to post more next month so maybe I'll have a better zhance of winning. Life has just been busy for me lately.

RIP shiny Jangmo-o.

Edit: I just went to check on my Jangmo eggs for the hunt, only to find my party empty. I must have forgotten to adopt more eggs, lol.

And I will once again add to the choir of people saying good luck to the people still searching for their SWSH shiny. Quick question if you're still hunting, though; do you plan on continuing your hunt as a regular one after the timer runs out, or do you just plan on dropping it? I plan on continuing my Jangmo'o hunt, but only because I don't have any Draco Shards yet.

Also, if you still play Pokemon Go, how many Legendaries have you caught? I've only gotten an Entei; hard to get anything else when people keep refusing to help you in Raids and you can barely get a Lugia to 2/3 health on your own.

Someday I'll win that raffle. And Primal Dialgas for everyone. :P

I picked up my old Pokémon Emerald and am trying to catch a Feebas. What am I even doing with my life. This wouldn't even be so bad if Emerald's fishing system wasn't so obnoxious. You can't afk it. You have to be watching the screen. There aren't even sound cues.

I wouldn't mind a Primal Dialga tbh. Also, agreed on the subject of Emerald's fishing system being difficult. It was my first Pokemon game, and I thought that that was how fishing was normally done until I bought a different game..

When I first got the game, I couldn't even use the Super Rod. I didn't understand what was happening. It was years later when I figured it out. x_x.gif

Clearly they were trying to make a more involved mechanic, and after the feedback received, decided to never do that again. Which was a good idea. Unfortunately, this coincides with the game where Feebas is obtained in six random tiles in a hundred-tiles-long river and it's not even guaranteed to appear on those, so you have to trawl the river fishing several times on each spot. I've been doing this for an hour and I've only covered maybe thirty. It's awful.

I have many gripes with Emerald, but it's also the game with the best Battle Frontier hands down, so I get a lot of replay value out of it even though its battery is dead and I can't trade anything to it.
