..I hope the user I'm shiny racing with figures out their settings soon so that the Vanillite Eggs I'm hatching/the Skrelp they hatch actually count towards our shiny race. I'm curious to see who's going to win!


On an unrelated note - anyone else enjoying the 3-day event in Pokémon Go? I caught a shiny Charmander and Beldum within hours of each other today, but I ran out of Coins to buy Incense lol. I can't get out much, but I try to make the most of things when I can.

I'm having great fun with the 3-day Community Weekend event in PoGo! I got out yesterday from 11-2 and caught 10 shinies! Finally managed to get 2 more shiny Dratini (I only got 1 on Dratini day), got my first shiny Bulbasaur (didn't get out for the original one), my first shiny Cyndaquil (didn't catch any last month cause I was car-bound due to an injury), and added 2 more shiny Squirtle, a shiny Beldum, shiny Eevee, and another shiny Mareep to my collection =)

Seems like the boosted shiny rates for the 3 hours like they do most months, not sure about the rest of the weekend

OH! And I finally finished my Shiny Rockruff hunt! I'd been racing against another user since May! They got their shiny in 45 eggs, mine was egg #778

Oh nice! That's quite a lot of shinies. I've got...none of those, except Eevee and Beldum. The Eevee wasn't even caught on Community Day, I was housebound at the time [like I am for most of the Community Days] and only 1 or 2 spawned near me in the first place. And I don't think the rates were boosted for the entire weekend, but I'm not too sure.

Congrats on the shiny Rockruff, as well.

It's a nice change to have a Steel PokéHunt - however they are extremely hard to find in the Lab!

I summoned my Misquaza yesterday and it's taking up a party spot I could have for a potential Steel-Type.

In the end I got a Magby and a Seedot, I love both of those Pokémon, but neither are the right typing. Such a shame considering I also missed the last PokéHunt too for the same reason. I seem to summon my legendaries at the wrong time!

I think I've said this before but I live in a village with a little number of pokestops and just 3 gyms but playing PoGo is fun. I've started last week, around wednesday or thurday and I'm level 20 and found a shiny Chikorita during the community day. There weren't as many spawns as I wish but one shiny is better than none

As of yet, still struggling to find a Steel-Type in the Lab, only landed a Murkrow and Foongus, but on the bright side, my Misquaza hatched! I named it 'Joey'. I tried so hard to think of a unisex name but so many I have already used elsewhere, so I gave in. It's a cute name for such a fierce Pokémon, but I've fallen in love with it for sure.

I'm currently in the process of levelling it up, though it's taking forever and Joey is rather unhappy. I'm using my Lemonades and Odd Incense to cheer it up a little!

But there are nobody breed it and I don't have a Carnivine.

Does anyone know if placing a 'mon in the PokeWalker or Mobile walker will raise happiness? Or does it have to be able to have other users interact with it? I've got so many megas missing in my dex still, and I wanna get the cosplay Pikachus as well, so I'm hoping for a quick way to raise happiness ^^;

Thanks! I'm super-excited about the two shiny Dratini, I really wanted to be able to evolve the rest of that line <3 And more shiny Eevee are always good because the evolution is random (I really wish they'd release the stones, cause it sucks).

If there's no Carnivine in Safari Zone, try to look in the lab. Their eggs are a bit uncommon, but it's possible to find.

Regarding pokewalker and happiness: nah. The only parameter that increases there is a level of pokemon.

If you have an Incense, i suggest to do this trick instead: use either of drinks on pokemon, then use Incense, and you can use another drink right away. Easy ~ 60 - 70 happiness points.

Other than that, it does depend on interactions from other people.
But usually, sticking the pokemon with 70-120 base happiness for a day in active party is enough to evolve it.
It might be a bit more lenghty process with likes of Buneary, who has 0 happiness.

I don't have an incense, but I stocked up on a few drinks to use over the next couple days. I didn't realize Buneary started at 0, this is gonna be fun...

I've been having trouble finding eggs for my hunt, so I'll just use my party. I've been lucky and found a few 'mon already evolved and at full happiness in the shelter, so that helped a lot too =D

Edit: Getting lots done today! I lost count of how many megas I managed to evolve (including Mega Lopunny a moment ago!)

My next question is I noticed some new novelty Pikachus in the dex, Original cap, Partner Cap, Hoenn/Sinnoh/Unova/Kalos/Alola caps. How does one go about getting the caps?

Just like most other evolution items they should appear every so often in the prize shop, which changes its inventory twice a day (around 6, I believe)

A couple days ago, I had to say goodbye to my 4TB hard drive since, after only a little over a year together (bought it pre-owned because I'm cheap), he died on me. I knew it was coming, he was giving me a lot of errors the past few weeks and corrupting my files. And after a last ditch effort reformatting, he whirred his last whir. Godspeed.

Joking aside, I'm pretty annoyed. Can't afford a new good one this close to the holidays and that hard drive was all my games. So I guess I'll be spending a lot of time here in the meantime.

No need to spend prize points on them, Pichus hatch with Cap Shop vouchers once in a while. That, or as semi-rare underground item.
Empty Cup is an underground item as well, i noticed.

Good luck getting the caps, underground, prize shop, or pichu hatching is your best bet to get some.

fighting Red in the Battle Tower yields Kalos Caps, you'll have to get the other hats through means that others have already pointed out.
i sell extra Kalos Caps whenever i can, i'm pretty sure they appear in the backroom?
