You can request as many things as you like at once, just so long as you realise that I'll get to them when I get to them, and if you request a lot of similar things at once I might get bored and wander off to do something else for a while...
But yeah, request however much you want. I have far too much free time to fill, after all.

Oh, no worries. I don't expect anything I request in any timely manner. It's done when it's done~

I just need some help here, because I can't seem to get how I want him to look straight in my head, even with the description, so. 8D

Also, if the bases are too difficult for what I'm asking, use whatever base works best. I honestly don't care which base you use, as long as it's male and adult.


For Trainer Sprites:
Base Sprite: Lt. Surge (Army Dude with the sunglasses)
Pokemon: None. He's just a straight human.
Description: First, his hair is a bit longer (not to his shoulders or anything, there's just more of it), looks pretty well kept, and is as a dark reddish color. He still has the boots, so you don't need to change those any, but his pants are jeans, not camo, and they aren't tucked in (they just end a little past the top of the boots). His shirt, while still sleeveless, is a lot more loose - pretty much a turtle-neck with the sleeves cut off. It's dark red, and has a purple symbol on the right that looks like a stylizied half-Pokeball. Take out the sunglasses and just leave his hands empty, and give him a bag around his waist.

This is basically the "old" draft of him, but not much besides the shoes have changed, so feel free to use this as reference.

Trainer: As Lt. Surge doesn't have a backsprite, this might be harder - either Lance (very bottom, cape) or Riley (blue outfit) would work. Whichever is easiest for you.

I'll probably start with the C-Dex pokemon, since that's just a recolour so it's not so bad. Then I'll give the others a go - the only one I forsee major problems with is the backsprite, since I haven't had much practice with those and, like you said, Lt. Surge doesn't have one, so it's a pretty heavy edit. Other than that, I should be able to do all of them without too much swearing and tearing my hair out.

Anyway, I'll go start on the Grovyle now, and work from there. I'll post them as I finish them, so you don't have to wait forever.

Just a note: If you can't do the backsprite, that's not the end of the world - just tell me. The guy you're doing is named "Viktor", a Gym Leader for my own Pokemon Region. I'm mostly gathering/making sprites and such for if I ever get around to making my own game, thus the backsprite, since Viktor was going to assist the player. However, if you can't do it, that's fine. XD It wasn't terribly important.

Okay, just wanted to know what you think of this before I declare it to be awful and scrap it (mainly because the more I look at it the more convinced I am that it's not as bad as I think it is.) I'll make the background transparent when I'm sure we're happy, because it's easier to edit if I don't have to fiddle with the background each time (ah, the downfalls of using paint)


No, I'm not sure why he has a mohawk, or why his legs look like they're made of wood and detachable, nor why he looks so fat. Of course, all of those things could be in my imagination (oh dear please Goddess please say they are) but if you think it's crap, please say so. Really, I'm fully prepared to scrap this and try again, maybe with a different sprite.

... the more I look at him, the more... german he looks. I'm crazy. I must be.

Oh, and I get the whole 'gathering sprites' thing. I hoard the things. (My avatar may be a case in point, there. I will never need a Bob mugshot.)

Well, some of those are your imagination.... but you're right. XD;; It doesn't look quite right, so likely, Lt. Surge was not the best to pick.

His hair's supposed to be longer. More like the actual sprite I linked you, though not necessarily in that style. And I think I'd rather keep it the color it was in the sprite I linked. The band around his waist is supposed to be pink, along with the bag...

Other than that, the rest of the details look fine.

You're right, though - likely, a less muscular sprite would work well. Use any that you think would work. ^^

I may lift the hair directly for the sprite you linked; if I'm honest, I'm not really very good at hair edits. I was thinking about using the D/P hero character for the sprite and see how that goes. I have no idea how I'll do the hair on the mugshot. Probably take me a couple of tries...

Anyway, I'll give it another shot. Don't worry, it's not a bother; I did say I was bored all the time...

in all likelihood, he doesn't really look german, I'm just insane. It happens. My brain makes random associations where none exist.

I'm gonna run this by you before I tranparent because... well, I think he looks like a very successful transvestite. I mean, he looks like a guy, but... you know... *sigh* I'm feeling really critical tonight. Must be tired.

Also; hah, I worked out a good way to be able to do his hair on the mugshot; steal the hair of someone who has a mugshot. Bob wins! ... also, if you can believe it, for some reason the hair on the sprite you linked made him look even more like a girl. I have no idea why.

Anyway, what do we think? Needs more work?
