I do both. If I'm trying to do a specific run, it's sort of quick. Otherwise I go slow since I like to enjoy Pokémon, and I can't always keep playing with school and stuff.

I usually take my time, getting everything I can in a certain area before going on. I usually make my Hall of Fame debut with about an hour worth of gametime.

I tend to take my time while completing the game. I like to enjoy while playing them, and there's things I like doing on the side.

Normally I take my time on my first playthrough. If I've restarted for reasons like for breeding or for items and such, I speed through.

There are typical reasons for doing both. The quick get to the goodies faster, and keep up at a good pace. The slower players give themselves more time to do what they enjoy the game itslef. At what pace do you finish a pokemon game? (Beating the champion) I usually do it rapidly -------------------- |

I definately depend on how much free time I've. In vacations, probably one week or less. During school, one month.

I take my time... Mostly there is so much too discover. And it would be a shame too miss that, just because I want a speedrun. And I always deafeat all Trainer I see. So I guess it takes a long time until I finish the story...

The minute I get my starter it's just a big race to the finish for me. I only start to stall towards the very end during E4 preparations (since that's where my inner strategist comes through).

Leisurely, It can be more than 1 month

I'm also on the 'leisurely' end of the spectrum. Mostly because I'm a big completionist, but that's almost impossible for me to do just on my own. Which is why I like the inclusion of the GTS in Gen IV.

I have that bad habit of completing every Pokemon game I get on the same day I got it.
