Sorry for the necropost, but I've got a new weird game:

Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.

The game is so WTF after you meet up with the positioned-as-such Big Bad, Yuga. He's an evil mage that can turn folks into paintings. Not to mention the central gameplay mechanic of wall-merging. I remember my first playthrough, and I was all "WTF?!" after the first boss battle. It still kind of weirds me out... ._. And I honestly wonder whether or not the dev team went on a collective acid trip or are just that damn creative. You'll see what I mean when you get past the first half. Quite possibly some of the trippiest stuff I've ever seen in a Zelda game.
