Hey, why is there suddenly no Poliwag in the shelter during a SWSH, with 103 people breeding?

That's the first time I've seen something like that happen. Where are they all gone?

There is a super close battle happening, it may have something to do with it. I found the same earlier with voltorb eggs, never thought I would be fighting other users for them!

*sad sigh* sadnod.gif Nothing wrong with GPX, but today I confirmed that the statement I read (was it out here? was it on FaceBook? was it through watching a YouTube video?) that when playing Pokemon Violet, when you send out your Pokemon to do random battles, we don't have to worry. It would never ever never battle a shiny Pokemon. *angry eyes* pissed.gif

Lies. Total lies. I "found" 4 shinies in my game (the most I ever came across), but my Profile said I battled 9. That makes me angry. Gah!!!!

So I just had to vent because I wasn't sure where else to vent so thank you for letting me.

Never to worry! The name "Shinies Battled" is a total misnomer and it does not actually count the number of shinies battled. Rather, it tracks the number of shiny dex entries you have. So by evolving your 4 shinies, you have produced 9 shiny dex entries. That's all the number means.

So. Today I was working the SWSH. Had three eggs in my Party. They were ready to hatch. All three were Lab eggs. TWO of them hatched shiny. Laid a minute apart. Both have IVs of 107.

How often does that happen? By which I mean multiple shiny pokemon hatching at the same time with the same IVs

Thank you, pumpkinking0192 for your response to my post. How certain are you of that? Because I'm wondering... my "Shiny's Battled" number has now increased to 16. It makes me wonder... I don't think I have battled any shiny's and either lost them or "killed" them... I think that is the number of times I have actually battled with my "in stock" shiny Pokemon. Could that be a more accurate explanation?

I noticed that it increased after I battled with a shiny I already had (that number has also increased thanks to two YouTube personalities that provide them). So I'm thinking that is how that number increases.

I'm still not certain if my Pokemon that walks out in front of me that I send into battles can, or does, battle unknown shinys. I hope not. I'm still not sure, which is why my progress is still pretty slow as I hesitate sending any Pokemon out to do battle in advance.

On another unrelated S/V note, but totally relative to GPX... today's egg giveaway... sweet! Thank you for that re-release! Did I just happen to get lucky with a shiny... or were they all shiny? I'm floored if it was the former and not the latter, but I'm also OK if everyone got a shiny one, too. That shiny novelty is really cool! looking, in my opinion. Thank you so for it, GPX! And.... happy birthday, Dark Krytie! I hope you are having a good time!

Oh! And, welcome back, barryhill. Here's hoping you can settle right back into the rhythm that is GPX. happy.gif

And, sweet rewards, RicFule! Congrats on the double shiny's. I've heard of that happening (very, very rare I think) where you claim a couple or so eggs from the Lab and they both hatch shiny. Very sweet how that works out and glad it happened to you.

So i'm getting ready to re-do Dark Saturday. I have to battle: kabutops, heatran, gliscor, swampert, rampardos, and metagross. What are the best pokemon to use against these? Any help is appreciated!

Hello fellow Pokémon lovers and GPXers. I've got a question.

About Pokémon Scarlet (I play Violet).

Is the new DLC, the new territory, ready and open and available? I see people with the masks on when I do Tera Raids (I just learned how to do those recently) but I don't see where or how to do that. When the DLC content first became available for pre purchase, I did that. And now I have the uniform as proof, but I don't see any mask nor am I aware of where to go to access this new exciting "world"/content.

Have I missed something? Or, are the folks I use on YouTube (Blaines and BrassCoin) have early access because of what they do for Nintendo?

In my own game, I'm still trying to level up to beat the Quaking Earth Titan. I just got my next badge that says Pokémon to level 40 (I think it was) will obey me. But, for this titan, I need to be 44 to 45. Anyone out there able to assist me in what I do next? It's getting a bit confusing.

Should I try the titan? Should I raid another base camp (I just did the poison one), should I go to another gym before facing the Quaking Titan?

Oh, and I did notice, though I can't tell you where on the map it is (save to say it is past the titan I'm aiming for) a question mark on my map. Is that where the new DLC place is? Or, since my best Pokémon are only levels 40 to 44, I should steer clear of that question mark?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm having fun with the tera raids, but since I have no mystica I can't vie for the shiny Applin and it seems I can't connect with Blaines' auto-bot raids for anything. *sad sigh*

Thanks, Everyone.

Yes, the content released on September 13th, as long as you have the DLC for Scarlet (Keep in mind there is a DLC for Violet and a DLC for Scarlet - if you bought the DLC for Violet but own Scarlet you'd be unable to access the DLC and Nintendo apparently does not offer refunds for this.)
But assuming you have the correct DLC and your game is fully updated you should be able to access Part 1 of the DLC: The Teal Mask regardless of how far along in the story you are. Part 2 of the DLC: The Indigo Disk releases at a later date and you need to complete the base game story before being able to access it.
Once you turn on the game with a fully updated game and correct DLC you should've gotten a phone call telling you to report to the Trainer School, once you do you'll be able to access Kitakami, the new DLC Region.

Hey guys. Biannual check-in, hope you're all doing well.
Question: how does the site still stay up? Sorry if that seems blunt, just legitimately curious. I think I've bought credits once or twice, but I can't imagine it was too significant to contribute to server uptime. Every time I remember to come back and play for a week or two it honestly feels like I should attempt to visit the site and see the domain for sale. Not to say I want it to go down, I have a lot of memories on this site and would love to see it up ss long as possible as a bit of a shrine to an era gone past, it's just rather surprising a niche site where the forum culture of adoptables has largely died out thanks to the rise of social media is still going with regular updates. Is upkeep expensive?

I forgot about the Egg Distribution on the 13th, though I did have an open spot as I only had one egg in my Party.

I checked today, and saw that I got one of the eggs, and it was ready to hatch. So, I hatched it. It was shiny.

Nice! I also got a shiny. Apparently it was 50/50 for shinies, which is pretty neat.
