QUOTE Tomorrow (on the 4th of April/Easter), there will be a Painted Torchic distribution! There's extra chance of finding a shiny one, so be sure to keep a party space open at 4 PM server time! Good luck! Happy Easter and thank you, Zerxer and GPX! I didn't even realize this was a thing but had a free party spot. I appreciate the Easter egg (literally) LOL -------------------- |

Hey!
There seems to lots of people on the site nowadays, which is cool, but since the down time 3 days ago, it's not responding well. Navigating through the site is annoying and mass clicking is awful. Does anybody know if something's happening? Good luck on your scavenger hunt! Edit: And just now it's responsive again after 3 days. I hope it was just a problem with my ISP not going through the proper route or something. Edit 2: and now 3 days later it's started slogging again, to a point it takes seconds to do anything. All we know is that we got migrated to a different server node on April 15th (During the time of the Baby event) Nick restarted the server a few days ago, which helped to improve speed from where it was at initially. It didn't completely fix the lag and he has acknowledged that it exits. He said he'll look into it further once he gets the opportunity to. Hang tight! -------------------- |

Good morning Everybody!
First off, happy belated Canada Day to our friends from "up north". I hope that your day and weather and GPX play were all positive and fun. Next, best of holiday luck to my US compatriots that are melting in the extended heat wave(s). Where I'm at, in the (AZ) Valley, we haven't seen rain since... um... I don't remember. Even still, there are going to be fireworks around various cities. Curious. Real curious. But if we're out camping... no fires and no fireworks. So wherever you are celebrating I hope you will be safe (from fires, monsoon floods, and illegal fireworks). I'm trying to wrap my head around work today (not going so great, LOL) and looking very much forward to a 3 day weekend (we're taking Monday off). I've been in and out of GPX for a number of days now and, sadly, didn't get a perfect score from the Scavenger Hunt. Was very upset when I woke up one day and realized that I (stupidly) didn't finish a basic level 17 requirement. Ugh! I was so mad at myself for that oversight! But running into the shiny helped to lessen that sting. Not sure how this month's SWSHy will turn out but here is wishing that you hatch at least one. Not sure what exploration I'll be delving into, but I have been having that calling again so... we'll see what I can carve out time for. My daughter also got me playing Y again so I've been enjoying that. I also owe my soul (or just about) to our local GameStop. Oh. My. Pokémon!! I ordered 2 doubles of the re-releases coming out as well as 3 of the Arceus games. I really hope my girls help contribute to that fund! Mercifully, the store clerk told me we have 100,000 Game Stop points. *faints* That will absolutely lessen that invoice sting! LOL In other news.... I took advantage of the Prime Day sales and got my very first iRobot vacuum. Best. Investment. EVAH!!! And using my daughter's account (don't worry, my money), I took advantage of the "if you had an Amazon credit card, you could take $150 off your purchase. So... we got her her first credit card ever and my Prime Day sale that saved me about $400, lessened that price tag by another $150. An i6+ for just over $300. Yeah. I'm happy. Anybody else take advantage of the Prime Day sales? Did you go electronics, if you did, or something else you really needed? Also, does anyone else buy more than just 1 of the Pokémon games or am I the only fool? LOL -------------------- |

Good luck with your shiny hunts, guys=) Thanks for the well wishes, Darky. After putting my Pokémon pair in the Daycare... I'm thinking I'll need it. Apparently, same species octopi don't like each other very much. Here's hoping my Destiny Knot will tie them closer together than "The two Pokémon are not interested in each other in the slightest." *eek*! Also, note to self, before filling your party... double check the Shiny announcement. I was thinking it would start tomorrow so... totally blew the first round not realizing I could do it now. Doh! *EDIT* It seems I am setting my SWSH up for failure. Does anyone else limit themselves to how they come by their eggs? I'm pulling only from my daycare couple (now that I figured out the original problem was a sibling issue....) and from the lab. I have to admit - it would be cool to finish a SWSH from the lab. I know it happens... but how frequently I wonder? *EDIT 2* As it turns out, my SWSHy wasn't set up for failure like I thought. It wasn't easy... and I did have to grab some Shelter eggs during the draught... but the Lab paid off finally. I'll probably vie for another shiny - just to see if I can score one more - but I'm fairly certain kudos will go to a "rival" group - the Azurites. It's not always about how many play. It's all about the luck of the grab. *EDIT 3* And much to my amazement... my daycare couple created a shiny Nikkit that I actually grabbed. Dang! Sa-weet! For kicks n giggles I'm vying for the final Pokémon, Lileep. But with so few days left I'm not feeling overwhelmingly positive. Who knows, though, the race to the finish line keeps changing affinity hands so we'll see how things play out these next 2.5 days. Good luck to all who are still trying and hatching. I only always hope we all walk away with one shiny from the SWSHys. This post has been edited by Mamanator: Jul 29 2021, 12:11 PM -------------------- |

I finally got my last Arceus Plate, so now I can begin the long journey to "Catch 'Em All!" Don't stop believing, I will finish it eventually.
However, I have failed the last two SWSH. *sniff* Maybe November will be better. -------------------- |

During last SWSH I started a Foongus hunt, thinking "if I finish it before SWSH's end, I'll do an Arceus explo!".
We're now deep in this month's scavenger hunt, Halloween even is approaching, I still haven't done this month's special explorations and my Foongus still aren't shiny! |

I'm really impressed with the creativity and thought of my fellow GPXers when it comes to thinking up events. I just finished scrolling through the thread and think that you all have some great ideas! Thanks for sharing!

I wonder, will we ever get a normal arceus egg? Or something like that. 1000 prize points for an arceus egg of any type? Too much I suppose. And I know that we have an exploration, but we also have real livesX) I am not complaining, just wondering=)

Happy December everybody!
Just wanted to pop by and wish those of the Jewish decent a very Happy Hanukkah! As un-ready as I am for Christmas, I'm twice as un-ready for Hanukkah I also want to say... wow! What luck I had today! I'm grateful to have had the time to (so far) complete both Scavenger Hunt tasks (being only 2 thus far I really shouldn't be shouting from the roof tops... but... ) Also, me oh my oh! Two shinies from the Hanukkah event. Thank you, GPX and my fellow breeders! I always wanted a shiny Ponyta. Can't hardly believe it has come to pass! That's a very beautiful shiny, I got to say! And my second, Phantump, was very surprising. I had convinced myself that you can't hatch a shiny if a shiny is already in your party. Well. That theory is blown to the December winds. I'm hoping to continue with the Scavenger Hunt and... who knows... maybe completing it for the first time in a dog's age. I hope everybody is having luck and fun with the start of the December events too. Good luck, Everybody! -------------------- |

Just wondering, where do we go to spend our event tokens again? I recall it being in inventory, but I can't seem to find it.
