I name quite a bit of my pokemon. In fact, my White Team is actually about 9 pokemon that I just change swap around constantly.

White:
Rose (Bisharp): Named after the red armor and 'thorny' claws it had as a Pawniard. And yes its Female.
Kaby (Archeops): Named in honor of Red vs Blue, because as an Archen it's expression was.. blank but it was strong, thus it's named after Caboose.
Raid-R (Luxray): Named as a reference for it's X-ray Vision Dex Entry, and a play on Radar.
Vee (Victini): First thing I thought of when I saw it's Ears lol.
Liby (Braviary): Short for Liberty.
Drizz (Panpour): A take on 'Drizzle' (and yes it's a Panpour, I can't for the life of me find a Water Stone)
Lapis (Shiny Boldore): Short for Lapis Lazuli, a type of blue gemstone.
Digs (Exadrill): Not what you're thinking! It's short for the archaic greek letter Digamma.
Barbara (Ferrothorn): A Joke since the pokemon is covered in spikes and has the Ability Iron Barbs. (It is Female too!)
Luise (Embroar): Named as such since it's a rack of ribs that can BBQ itself! Named for St. Luise Ribs.

I found it pretty easy to find names for my pokemon this time. Probably it's because you're bound to run out of ideas for the 3614578517th Zubat and the 37815645th Rattata @_@

Erin (Serperior) - The first name that came to my mind when I thought of a female Snivy.^^
Soma (Musharna) - Somehow based on Munna's german name (Somniam), I wasn't very creative at that time.
Amphos (Seismitoad) - A toad king from a german RPG Maker game.
Mezzo (Scrafty) - I really don't remember how I came up with that name =/ Naming a Scraggy is still difficult for me.
Electrys (Eelektross) - Random name for my shiny Eelektross on GPX+
Chandell (Chandelure) - Same as Electrys

Retired team:
Ixion (Zebstrika) - Reminds me of Ixion from FFX xD
Daruma (Darumaka) - ...obvious.
Qwan (Tirtouga) - Another random name.

Regina Serperior - Female - Named after the heroine in Dino Crisis 2, one of my favorite games.
Melano Krookodile - Male - Melano roughly translates to Black.
Nucleus Reuniclus - Male - Obvious reasons, although I didn't know it was gonna rhyme.
Raiark Galvantula - A combo or Rai (lightning) and Arachnid...I don't know where the k came from.
Celeste Chandelure - Celestial Tower....I'm so original. lD
Pyrat Carracosta - Pyrat, a video by Gobelins (or something similiar) was the inspiration here.

Black Team - Trainer Rage

Kajondo Emboar - I don't know where that one came from.
Zoe Simisage - I've always liked that name, and my Dreamyard Pansage turned out to be a girl.
Alfred Jellicent - It's the 'stache.
Ziegler Archan - It was a street name..and I liked it.
Melinda Beheegym - Ghost Whisperer fan...that I am. 8D

Hey, I called my Venipede Grumpy Bug, too!

For some reason, in every game, I need to nickname every Pokémon on my team, even if it's a stupid nickname, but I'll just do my Black version ones.

Marta the Serperior (A Fullmetal Alchemist character).
